Félicette was a stray Parisian cat who is the only cat to have been successfully launched into space. She was launched on 18 October 1963 as part of the French space program.
Yes! Australias CSIRO contingent was looking forward to several milestones in particular. 1) Punching the moon in its smug face. 2) Big big throw stick. 3) Brewing beer in space. 4) Drinking beer in space. Good to see progress mate. Keep it up Tommy.
On the topic of Shakespeare character names, when you make your first capsule, I nominate Titania or Oberon for the name, since they're fairies, and the capsule will ferry kerbals into space.
@@Carnasa what of the BIS stuff, I assume the probe in question is migrant? Also, maybe in the future you and the others could hold a similar series, but in the 50s, with N9 spearheading Werner Bon brauns colliers designs (ferry rocket etc.), on the Johnston Island (or the coral atoll, I can’t remember) and you with the “ministry of space” in Kenya? How about it?
Awesome awesome aweesooome visuals and editing and just everything, this is an amazing episode and feels like proper Carnasa video but enhanced with amazing cinematics.
I always wanted to get that book on the British Space program (A vertical empire) but it's like £35. It's the only book I could find on the British space program. It would look good next to the 'british pacific fleet' tho
Love this series - you have done so well to catch up as much as you have. You must have Bernard Kermanmass leading your team. You should name your space agency the Kerbal Experimental Rocket Group.
Yooooooo, very cool video!!! I am very glad to see new videos from you again. Great work!!! Also next time u should send another cat to space...kat-niss that is :)).
TIL you can have multiple KSCs. I thought you could only use KSCSwitcher once and that moving to another KSC would transfer any launchpads, KCT points etc. Cool to see that isn't the case. Also, Larch 8 makes me think of Monty Python "The Larch".
Hi Carnasa, hate to ask but could you top off your tutorial series with jet/rocket plane design tutorials? I'm having a hard time with the XPlane program missions.
Plot Twist: Canada, being angry they were left out of the Commonwealth Space program, launched a secret manned mission to Venus 2 months before Russia and will claim that milestone for themselves.
@@paulsidhuUK I must apologize; my "joke" was supposed to be that in '65 Americans really didn't know about, or appreciate, ahem, 'Soccer', as opposed to our Rugby-based national sport.
Do they have SPS(solar power satellite) in KSP? Can that be pursued(I guess what I'm saying is there space industry/proof of concept and would that provide funds)? The Commonwealth is cleaning up, and the Russians are rushing. Exciting! Darn...can't wait.
In stock KSP, your satellites can do science experiments and work as com-net relays for unmanned missions. There are also some contracts where you put a satellite in a specified orbit and then you get paid for that. Beaming power around is only possible with mods (which they probably don't have installed), and I don't think you could sell that power either. However, there are mods that allow you to mine/produce valuable reources on other planets, which you could carry back to kerbin/earth to sell when you recover the tank containing them. I don't think they have such colonisation mods in this modpack, but it might be added, when they try to get a more permanent foothold on the moon and other planets.
Can't wait for the british moon colony independence plot

This is a good idea
As the person who created the 'Lunar Lightning' concept/diagram, it makes me happy to know that Carnasa has seen it.
Truly awesome! I really enjoyed this. Also, i love that we're getting a three-nation Venus armada!
Bro is out here doing his best TD channel impression in this series the progress in just 2 years is insane
drinking game every time carnasa says "an awful lot" one shot
I want my BIS moon lander dammit, either that or Blue Streak Heavy
I’ve actually made a blue streak heavy hahaha, it’s like 600 parts because I detailed it. It’s quite something 😂

Thank you for the new video. I'm looking forward to the new schedule.
The quiet radio transmission followed by the near peaking microphone on your voice sets up quite the earrape there at the beginning of this video sir.
Would be funny if out of nowhere N9 just showed up with Sea dragon
This is better than Netflix.
Very happy about the weekly schedule, also Great Video!!

Not sure if crashing into the moon counts as a most lamentable comedy, but it probably is a most cruel death.
