I feel I actually get to say everything I want to with this style, I always used to come away from vids thinking damn I missed an opportunity to say X now it’ll never be mentioned. Also yeah that had me a bit worried :p I may not have your custom built ejection seats but for now the built in ones sure are a godsend!
The part clipping thing can be cured by switching same vessel interaction on and off on the parts being displaced. I’ve had the same thing on several planes. PVG can work with unguided stages now and can even spin them up with RCS before firing them, I’ve used it for rockets with solid upper stages (Baby Sergeant).
Ooh I didn’t know this, might have to give it a look next time I’m in game (the PVG thing that is) I’m way past unguided launch vehicles now so it won’t help out but definitely something I’d be interested in looking into!
Here's a fun ascent profile i learnt on the Discord today: A single XLR 11 can easily breach 75 kilometers, if only briefly. Basically, instead of trying to climb up, you give the plane huge delta wings, go to some 22km of altitude, and wait until your engine is about 50 seconds away from burning out. Then, you pull up to about 75 degress as safely as you can, and burn until you just barely cross the 75km mark. The reason you need those big wings is that they allow you to easily convert all that horizontal speed into vertical speed. It sounds like bullshit, but i tried it and it worked. This profile also avoids having to use RCS, because all your maneuvering will be done in the lower atmosphere.
I also saw that on the RO discord, or at least the bit about using a single XLR 11 to get to 75km :p was lurking on there earlier reading what people were up to haha
@@Carnasa That wasn't today by any chance, was it? In which case, you probably saw my attempts at building an X-Plane with RCS, just for its physics to be so wack i eventually trashed it.

I've been greatly enjoying the longer content! One of my favorite parts of for all Kerbalkind is the long episodes, so I appreciate that carrying over to this series as well.
As an Enter Shikari fan, and a fan of your content, this was an unexpected but very positive crossover to discover in your rocket naming conventions :')
God i'm loving this. I used to get excited for the releases on the first season. Whatever you find makes the creation of these videos most enjoyable, please enduldge it. Keep up the amazing work man, and happy holidays!
It’s a shame that you didn’t beat your previous record for first orbit. Hopefully you can achieve first crewed orbit before the start of 1960. Godspeed Carnasa🙏🏼
dont forget your R&D was maxed out last season...that kinda changes your perception of current difficulty and speed of development. you had a massive bonus to research speed the first time around. i actually think you do alot better time wise this time considering that bonus you had
I'm curious what you're planning for the Stratospheric flight contract. I didn't realize that is says you have to be going *slower* than 300 m/s so SR-71 or U-2 designs don't complete the contract. NASA didn't manage that feat until 2014 with an electric powered prop design made mostly of carbon nanofibers.
I think the safe speed for the ones I’m using is 150 m/s :p I found with landing they don’t tend to break, but in some sims if I exceeded that for a few seconds while taking off they broke very quickly
But yeah to add to this the wheels have been scaled up slightly which increases their speed tolerance (scaled up using the in built scale thingy that they have)
In several of the episodes, Carnasa refers to another youtuber as good on x-planes. I cannot find the name of this youtuber now. Anyone remember and wan't to help me out?
Wow, I really liked that you prepared the eject button, and you saved that kerbal. Because when I played RP I would just make unreliable planes and rockets and revert flights all the time. I guess im not very good at this game 🥲
The worst thing about these videos is that they have an end
Well they are getting longer and longer so there’s more each time every week 😅
I have the same feeling, but i'm sure the editing take quite a while to do too

I wasn't there for the original Kerbal Gets Real, but I've seen all of KGR Redux!
same!!
That last second bailout! THEM REFLEXES! Also... longer videos are good.

Wait how? I always have to disable auto stage and use spin motors when using pvg

150 seconds? THAT'S WAY TOO FAST SIR!! Gonna have to give you a speeding ticket and impound your winged bicycle.
Goodbye Blue Sky Launch Complex!
Very glad George did not die.
We understand buggy contracts!
Is this a Haiku
@@judet2992 Probably. (Sorry to necro)
Godspeed ! Impressive ejection reflexes from your Kerbal haha
Mine would've sayed, "it's gonna stabilize, it's gonna..." (end of transmission)
Thank you for producing this, Carnasa !!!! =)
Thank you for watching! Hope you enjoyed it :D
I’ve watched the old series like 15 times. I’m so so happy that we have a sequel to it.

It's always great to get a new episode of KGR. Let's hope the "kerbal deaths" score remains at 0.
That’s the goal! :p
Carnasa! Seriously! Enough is enough with the scuffed planes!
Next episode they’re good I swear! (Although testflight might have other ideas for them)
loving this series!

Holy... It's almost Christmas again 😅
Carnasa, I love your vids but please remember to take breaks so you don't go insane.🥵🍞
I'll be taking a break after this weekend for Christmas! :D
Hey there, great video, i was wondering how tall and wide are the odyssey sideboosters (tank and nose cone) ?
I'd have put money on you liking Enter Shikari. Not quite sure why, just had a feeling.

You can’t add parachutes for braking aircraft?

How do you manage to land on wheels at nearly twice the safe speed without them exploding? I'm never that lucky😂

Calvin Maclure is who I referenced! Should come up if you search him on TH-cam, he’s also commented on this video :p
@@Carnasa Sure did, thanks!
Is this RO2?
Its the new version of RP-1 as in programs and launch complexes yes :)
