Me too I have about 4 different chemistry books but never saw this simple method inside any of them Did guy is amazing Balancing with OH- directly is a little bit challenging. But this method is very simple
you're the reason why i understand this redox. i really enjoyed the progress of learning this despite from being time consuming for every problem, atleast i became happy whenever i solved it. i have nothing to say but thank you.
This video was really helpful! Everything became clear after two weeks of neverending suffering from the confusing discussion of the ion-electron method! Thank you, sir!
Ah!! You really helped me to prepare for my exam.my teacher didn't teach me well on this topic l,l wish I had a teacher like you. Thanks so much, may you be blessed.
You are best.U makes me all the technical topics underatand soo easyily, which i cant get even though studying about months. U are best tutor, i love you,you r the best.
Thank u so much sir ... You literally saved my life .....I never understand what my professor explains ; but I very quickly understood explanation of yours.... 🙏🏻
I watched lots of videos and they weren't good enough . You are very easy to understand and follow!!! and for me, the best part is the last part.when you check your answer...very professional!!!Thank you so much for making my day!!!
So, the question on my exam asked me to balance a reaction for basic conditions: so I need to balance for acidic conditions FIRST before the basic conditions? You used the balance reaction from the acidic reaction, to complete the basic one. Am I missing something? Is there a case where I can't do this?
In the first example, you added 3 water molecules to the right side, but you didn’t touch the left side. However when you added hydroxide ions you added then to both sides. Is there a rule or something because I’m superrrrr confused!!!
(first problem: reduction half reaction) Do you only balance first the electrons before balancing the h+ (with OH) if there's no OH element on the left side? This confuses me a little

I always had problems when balancing with OH-. Never thought about balancing with H+ first. It worked!!!! Thank you!

I LOVE YOU!!!!!
I WAS WORKING ON THIS ONE QUESTION FOR HOURS, I DID IT FIRST TRY WITH YOUR HELP!!!!
Sorry for caps I am way to excited...
Like seriously me too
Balancing using acidic conditions, then adding OH- ions to convert it to alkaline conditions is so much more smart and efficient bruh
This video was really helpful! Everything became clear after two weeks of neverending suffering from the confusing discussion of the ion-electron method! Thank you, sir!
Thank you so much! I've been struggling with this for the last 3 years and now you have solved this!

Iam from iraq 😅
Pls why did you add water H20 when it's a basic solution and not acidic
🙏🙏🙏🙏 thankyou for anything
Thank You SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much
you cant get higher resolution text? the words seem a bit jumbled for college level notes
2:26 y didn't he write water's electrons on right side?
Water has 0 as oxidation number. H has +1 x 2, and oxygen is -2 always, execpt for H2O2 (O is -1 here). +2 -2 = 0
Thank you💪🏻

hey just a question, so in basic solution we just start as we would in acidic solution and change the OH at the end?
THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️
In the first example, you added 3 water molecules to the right side, but you didn’t touch the left side. However when you added hydroxide ions you added then to both sides. Is there a rule or something because I’m superrrrr confused!!!
its 4 am and youre saving my life. THANK YOU
How do we know, if a reaction takes place in an acidic or in a basic solution? what is the "key" thing?
its given in the question friend
Also you can look at what you have in solution. BrO3 - makes the solution more alkaline because it's the conjugate base of a weak acid (Bromic acid).
Thank you

Wow❣️❣️
i have no problem on balancing redox reactions after watching this
you write Fe3+ at product sideI think that might be Fe+3,becoz here is about oxidation ,not about charge
5:30 why do you even divide the water? It is still balanced..or is just about just bringing it to the simplest form?
He did not divide, he just minus-ed off the water molecules
@@x4nd3r5x because?
thank you sir
(first problem: reduction half reaction)
Do you only balance first the electrons before balancing the h+ (with OH) if there's no OH element on the left side? This confuses me a little
very nice!
Why do you add OH to the first example that you did but not the second?
He did add OH
