      girl same, and my Chem class is completely online so its hard. I mean, he has a video explaining everything we need to know, but for this topic specifically i feel he is missing key points in order to complete the problems. I google "balancing a chem equation, 10 mins in and I already feel 100% more confident on how to do these types of equations.
      Are there any other channels though that you would reccomend for help?

    It always interests me how we all seem to collectively agree that OCT teaches better than most teachers when they're the ones giving depth to a particular lesson for better understanding. The difference in learning the background of a lesson over just doing the process might be a factor. Or that, the prior knowledge we have from teachers made it easier for us to understand OCT's tutorials. Nevertheless, the educational system both east and west are fucked for giving students limited time to learn about something they're not mildly interested in.

    00:40 but why like that? How do you know which to balance first? Seems obvious the order matters, but what is the rule? Other than that, this video is top notch 💪 keep it up!

    I'm really confused about when to use fractions and when to use the even-odd method....

    • @ruthpahan
      @ruthpahan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Whenever there's a fraction, divide the odd number by 2, then multiply all of the subscripts by 2, and you'll be alright.
      For example:
      C6H14 + 19/2 O2 = 6 CO2 + 7H2O
      Now, multiply all of the subscripts by 2 to get
      2 C6H14 + 19 O2 = 12 CO2 + 14 H2O

    • @cooluserhere
      @cooluserhere 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@karimmohamed6984 Pretty good. At least I think so. The kid (he's one of my friends) said what I told him helped him with the test he had later, and he got a 78 on it. I wish I could've helped him get a higher score, but he showed to receive tutoring pretty late into the period, so it is what it is I guess.

    Today in class, I was so puzzled at this and I got really sad because some of the students were doing these questions easily and I couldnt and I got too nervous to ask my teacher and srsly felt like crying, one question in particular took the other students like 15 minutes and i still hadnt done that question and hadnt seen the answer until I saw this video. I looked at 4 minutes of the video and I did that question in 30 seconds. Thank you Organic Chemitry teacher.
