I always like how Jay's reasoning for targeting Little Tiffany was the same basic reasoning Kay had for picking out Mikey in the opening scene. They each looked for something that an alien wouldn't look for or think about when trying to hide.
I have to say Vincent D'Onofrio is an incredible actor. I first really noticed him on Daredevil as Wilson Fisk, but I didn't know he was in this movie, 20 years before DD. He's just spectacular.
The combination of glib fast-talker and laconic badass is always great. Tommy Lee Jones' dry delivery of some very funny lines (and Will's reactions to him) is easily one of the best parts, next to D'Onofrio's 'Bug in the Edgar suit'.
Isn't this a fun movie? It's great to see a world where all of the conspiracy theories are true. Tommy Lee Jones is great as himself: A paragon of understated bad-assery, and Will Smith is one of the most charismatic actors ever. The special effects are appropriately hokey, but better than you notice. It ain't Kurosawa, but it doesn't try to be. 9.5/10
Great reaction! And great editing too. 😁 D'Onofrio was the real standout in this movie for me. His physical performance is outstanding. The way he moves, with stiff, jerky motions and sudden spasms, I really buy that it's a large alien bug that has crammed itself into a "suit" that's too small for it. He really looks like he's constrained and having a hard time moving. Plus, the effects on him, making him look like his skin is slowly decaying over the course of the movie... It's really excellent work. See you both next reaction. ✌🤓
I remember seeing this in the theater back in the day & all through the movie I was thinking, "who is the actor playing the bug?" When I learned it was D'Onofrio, I was like OMG! Not often I can't even recognize an actor. :-)
1 Edgar/Bug = Vincent D'onofrio played Gomer Pyle in "Full Metal Jacket". 2. Tommy Lee Jones' roommate in college was Al Gore. 3. Jones has claimed that he's never had a part that he didn't love and doesn't have a job. Just a hobby that pays very well.🤑😁 4. "Congratulations Reggie........It' a squid".🤣 5. Tell me this wasn't a fun movie. I dare you.
30:22 Brian O'Conner and Dominic Toretto: Press a button on the steering wheel, release some NOS and act like a boss. Agent K: Ok boys, someone hold my coffee. 30:50 So that woman on top of the building in Independence Day was right.
Great reaction! I loved this movie, though it was different from the original comics by my buddy Lowell. It did maintain a lot of the concepts and they did a great job with this movie's story, FX, and everything. K and his girlfriend's reunion story was absolutely a J creation, cos, damn. 😀 It would be what J would have wanted to do for K after the exchange between the two of them when J found K checking in on his old girlfriend. So sad that instead of making it to his date with her he was forced into the MiB because of what he stumbled into. But it does give this movie a happy ending for K, which is nice. L was bound to become a MiB, especially since she'd apparently been subjected to the neuralizer so many times that she was becoming resistant to its effects. She made a sensible selection as the new recruit for J to train just as K had trained him. The second movie is okay. Watched it mainly to give Lowell a fraction of a cent boost to his residuals, but I still liked it okay. 😀 I didn't see anything past the second movie. Vincent D'Onofrio was so gosh awful and creepy excellent in this movie. Acting the role of Edgar the Bug couldn't have been easy or comfortable. And Linda Fiorentino was great as Laurel Weaver, M.E./Agent L. Rip Torn as Zed just kept me amused throughout. Will Smith was good and Tommy Lee Jones was his usual acerbic deadpan best. 😀 Such a well cast and well done movie.
Fun reaction guys. Hope you continue the trilogy. Also you might wanna check out Evolution starring david duchovny and julianne moore. Similar movie and more funny imo
A fair amount of the "special effects" were not CGI. Tommy Lee Jones almost shot himself in the foot with one of those big guns they used at the end. He didn't realize they functional and loaded.
With the stuff going about in the media at the moment, maybe this movie is actually more real than we thought!😁 Always an easy option for fancy dress parties too!
The joke K is telling about eating the popcorn is set up by a guy sneaking his pet duck into the movie theater by putting it down his pants and then unzipping so it can breath. Of course the lady sitting next to him says to her husband to look and he says if you've seen one you've seen them all in which she responds yeah but this one's eating my popcorn. Such a fun movie and the sequela are worth watching but this one is the best by far. Zed played by Rip Torn is a great actor who excels in under stated comedic roles. Should watch a movie he's in called "Defending Your Life" written by and starring Albert Brooks and also has Meryl Streep.
"Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying."
Arthur C. Clarke
Jay: Now that's the worst disguise ever. That guy's gotta be an alien.
Frank the Pug: You don't like it, you can kiss my furry little butt!
😂😂😂😂😂

The first is good, the second is mid, and the third brings it back around again. I say watch them all.
The second is indeed Men in Dark.
I’m also a fan of the XXX parody
So true. Bookended by great movies.
@@jamesmeechan6983 😂😂😂
@@jamesmeechan6983 that movie killed any chance of us ever getting another film so no. Awful fn movie.

First thought you meant Eric and Sarah when talking about combination of glib fast-talker and laconic badass; had me pondering which was which lolz!
Vincent D’Onofiro’s physical acting is insane in this lol he sells it so well.
The way Edgar's wife says his name sends me every time and always has. "Eggar."
"N-Y-P-D means I will kNock Your Punk-a** Down!" Cracks me up every single time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
One of the funniest buddy cop Sci Fi Action Comedy movies ever made! I saw this on VHS. Christmas Day 1997 and it was fun and hilarious!

All the Men In Black movies are worth a watch.
Vincent D'Onofrio was brilliant in this movie!
The make up effects on him were awesome, great continuity of the skin decomposing.
He Was In Jurassic World
“Get your big butt back in the house!” That’s a horrible thing to say, but it makes me laugh. 😂
A lot of few kids movies scared me when I was a kid, for instance: "Muppet Christmas Carol" lol.
You guys are so entertaining... just the right level of cheesy and geeky. Congrats Eric for taking on editing duties 🎉
Appreciate that Jacob! Thanks :)
I remember going to see this at the drive-in with my dad, I loved it then and I love it now!!!

tbh you guys are one of the cutest couples and I like your videos not just to see the movie reactions but also just stuff like the intro
I thought I was the only one who found this scene disturbing 😂😂😂 7:47

Men in Black 2 and 3 are also enjoyable.
How did you find a version without subtitles for the non-english parts?
so many classic lines in this especially from will

Without understanding what the two aliens were talking about over dinner, I'm sure she was totally confused. Subtitles would have helped
You should skip MIBII and watch MIB III. That one is good. II, not so much. Except for one little part you probably should know before walking into 3.
Pls complete the series with MIB2 and MIB3
Wearing black just saves a ton of time, which I use for watching reaction videos.
MIB is a lot of fun! The animated series was great, too. Actually haven’t seen any of the sequels. I need to get around to it. 🤔
Did you guys recognize private Pyle?
Yes!
@@EricSarahReact nice. It took me a minute to realize who he was.
I loved the cartoon it has so much cool lore
What version are so many reactors watching that don't give the aliens subtitles?
you guys rock please keep on rocking in the free world
Great reaction 🔥💯💯
Have you seen Downfall? Currently a youtube free movie
I would wear black, gray, and dark blue or green
Did it have the subtitles of what the aliens were saying to each other at the restaurant?
Hi Eric and Sarah. Please react to Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman’s “Wag The Dog”, from 1997.
Awesome 😎 movie
✌👽❤
I kinda like you kids. You seem like cool nerds. If that isn't a oxymoron.
17:17 he looks worse, because the skin suit is rotting.
Watch 2
Awesome reaction, can you please watch a movie called THE FOUNDER.
this good movie i did watch cartoon show
yttm.
I think I’ve seen this 25x but watching someone else watch it…it’s along the same lines as Independence Day. Both cheesy with a hint of emotion…
