“I’m sorry about back there…..didn’t used to…the spirit’s Willing Kay, but….the rest of me…” That short scene is everything. Age really is something else.
Seriously, the alien dude didn't need to commit suicide. Edgar, the bug was not that unreasonable, as we see later in the movie. He pretty much found Orions' belt all on his own, too. They never explain why the cops start to chase the alien dude in the first place anyway.
Do people seriously not understand basic subtext? He talks about "he's going to kill me because I failed him" referring to "Edgar" and his search for the galaxy. Why he's being chased by new york cops? Obviously has to do with that failure to secure the galaxy. Maybe, I don't know, attempted robbery of an old man? Say, an old man with a cat?
Dude, Edgar the Alien was actually pretty unreasonable 'cause he killed Rosenberg and that tall guy without hesitation, he would do the same with this guy. And he probably was being chased because the Orion's belt was in a jewelry store, so maybe he tried to steal it from there but was surprised by the cops, it was probably his last attempt because he knew that Edgar was coming.
Edgar Bug wasn't *that* reasonable. He killed 4 or 5 characters (the tow truck driver probably died from a shotgun blast, but it's not confirmed) and if Orion's Belt wasn't found, Earth was gonna be in deep jeopardy. Edgar would have eaten "M," and he didn't care if she was a queen on her planet or not - he said he was OK with wars starting over her death.
It’s sad they spend their career knowing that one day all their memories of it will be erased. I guess that’s not much different from how we live our lives knowing one day we’ll die, but it’s still kinda melancholy.
I liked the call back though, K does the same with J, "look at the stars, they're beautiful, you never really look at them anymore" Nice little 'torch being passed on' moment I thought ✌️😊
A third of us get our memories erased through Alzheimer's. Plenty of people know they have a strong pre-disposition to early onset Dementia as well as it runs in the family. Plenty of us right now live life knowing our memories will be erased.

The entire point of the scene and the movie at large is establishing that migrants aren’t to be judged as a monolith. But, well, conservatives don’t have the intelligence to recognize much.

I love how the head is still animated. This movie won Best Makeup at the Oscars and between the decaying Edgar suit and little details like this it deserved it for sure.
MIB 2 was more lighthearted and joking, MIB 3 felt more like 1 and not quite as silly as 2, but it still didn't feel as dark as 1. Or is part of it just that I was just 6 or so years old when I first saw parts of 1?
@@101Voltsnah youre valid. MIB 1 was dark and honestly a bit more philosophical. MIB 2 was more fun. MIB 3 brought it back closer to the tone of 1 but had a more family dynamic to it and more emotional depth.

It’s 2024 and it’s amazing that this movie doesn’t look dated at all (except Will’s orange MC Hammer pants). What a classic!
Shit, those pants are back in, with wind breakers.
At least he ain't saggin
Love how the disguises are all so convincing, but when you actually see how they're doing it, it's just an alien with a head on a stick 😂
The way that one guy just looks back and forth between Agent K and the border patrol officer at 2:19 😂
One of the most iconic, cult classics of all time.
It's a big Hollywood movie, not a cult classic.
"He's coming.. he's coming"
"Yeahhh when he gets here, ill arrest his ass too.."😅😂

Hi.

So why did that alien suddenly get aggressive as soon as he saw the cop?
No witnesses
He felt like this Agent K person was lying to him to the whole and was stalling for time until backup arrives
He’s a minority.
The alean must of herd of illegal aleans sneaking into the USA and took that literally. Amazing details this movie has
