My personal favourite is still a motorize front-facing camera, you get the full-screen experience and the privacy of not having a camera pointing at you all the time
Unfortunately you still have the total lack of privacy of a microphone recording you all the time. I really don't get the focus on cameras and total lack of consideration for microphones when discussing privacy. Unless it's a camera in a bathroom or changing room or bedroom, I'm honestly not that fussed. I hope my NSA/FBI agent enjoys watching me watch TH-cam all night. But microphones can be far more damning.
My favorite is the one with no selfie cam, because I dont like to take my own picture like a narcissist. I also dont like attention like any instagrammer.

The only time I ever use it is when my palm or the ball of my thumb accidentally brushes over that icon on the touch screen while using the camera. I wish it was gone too. Even if I wanted a picture of myself, I'd ask someone to take one with their rear camera anyway, because the front facing cameras are always potato quality.
I partly agree, though with more work related video calls & meetings due to the pandemic + work from home culture the selfie cam is gaining more traction than it had before for those who rarely or don't use it. I think notches, tear drop, hole punch etc screens are way over rated. But manufacturers gotta sell stuff, I guess.
I wouldn't get one without one. I very very rarely use them but still ever use them. Which is why I'm not gonna get a phone with hole puch, notch, tear drop or pony though. Mine right now is Mi 9t Pro (global version of Redmi K20 Pro) which have pop up. And with the market right now, there's no way any company gonna release a decent smartphone without front facing camera (with a decent price)

One of the pros of mobile gaming is that you can do it with your own daily device : your smartphone. Removing everyday stuff from it doesn't align with that and you would need another phone. People would just buy a "normal" Gaming capable smartphone.
Can't wait for the future where We all be buying under display camera phones and later buy an case adapter to cover the camera physically.. Just like we do in laptops now.

I was thinking the same thing. Right now, with same screen real estate, popup front camera on oneplus has a minor advantage compared to a UD cam with those last-gen looking selfies.
