Rob was a massive influence on my playing, more so than any other player. His guitar tone is so specific and quite literally the sound of Chimaira. They don’t get enough love as a band and I wish people would feature them more or talk about them more.
Same. My playing has changed much since I learned of Chimaira. I'm much more of a simple, good time kinda player now

@@sawyeratkinson That must have been an awesome show. First time i saw them was with In Flames and another band. I feel like I've seen them a second time but my memory is mush.
I was lucky enough to grow up at the shows these guys put on at the Odeon in CLE. Every time was a killer show.

Chimaira Had so many epic riffs. Just yesterday I was listening to “this present darkness” album. So dark and heavy and they progressed so much over the years. I think if they did a reunion tour it would go well.
Heard they were organizing and were going to do a Christmas event in 2020 but... Yeah. That dumbass year happened. Heard someone say Rob said they are maybe getting back together. One can only hope but it's only hear say.
So much fun mixing this, Chimaira were a huge part of turning me onto heavier music in my teens and the riffs are still so damn good! Honoured to work with Rob, he’s a true gent, go check out his channel!

Chimaira and rob arnold are just awesome
Chimaira cannot be underestimated as one of the greatest metal bands ever. Influences from Pantera, Slayer, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Fear Factory and many more were what bred Chimaira's own unique sound.
Fucking killer band in studio and live. They had awesome artwork and special edition items and dvds and so much else... I often wonder why the band gets such lack of recognition unless it's just because I'm old now or Roadrunner didn't do a great job marketing them.
I bought 6 of their cds, 1 DVD (dehumanizing process), went to 3 shows where they played and still look there songs up on TH-cam after discovering them in 2002. Great band.
They really did have a melting pot of influences, and they really stood apart from their peers, no one really sounded like them

This was really cool Jamie. Rob was a big inspiration to me when I started getting into heavier bands. That wah tone on his solos was always spot on. Saw them live twice and they always killed it. Great video dude 🤘☠️🍻

That was so awesome, reminded me just how much I love Robs writing, playing and just the feel/groove of his riffs. That transition from Power Trip to Implements was perfection. At some point this week I'm having a full Chimaira day, maybe even a couple

Hell ya, I’ve explored so much metal since I first found chimaira, Rob has always stood out with the riffs and the sound of his solos. There’s gold in their discography, and their instrumental tracks are all incredible.

Chimaira were absolutely one of my biggest influences for my playing for years, and I was over the moon when I got my rob arnold LTD. I hate myself a bit every day for getting rid of that thing. It played amazing and sounded even better, but I wanted to get into the 8 string world for a bit and someone wanted to trade their Schecter C8 ATX for my RA600. not worth the trade. So not worth it.

I met Rob and Jim from the band years ago. They just randomly appeared in out local bar.. it was one of the best days of my life. They were so cool and even came to watch one of our band practices and to one of our gigs.. I doubt they can remember it tho.. it was back when they recorded The impossibility of reason.. but thanks for the memories guys if you do remember

They're my absolute favorite band so this was dope. I would have liked to see a track or 2 from Infection but I can't bitch too much lol. They have the best grooves & beat downs which made me fall in love almost instantly. I really miss these guys & they are not talked about enough for sure.

I saw Chimaira live in 2005 in West palm beach florida, they split the crowd like Moses and it was the best thing I ever saw live. I also caught the guitar picks both guitar players threw out into the crowd. The picks had their impossibility symbol on them. I caught one of them and the other pick didn’t make it to the crowd but a staff worker picked it up for me and gave it to me so I had both picks.
Never forget when The Impossibility of Reason dropped and went to houston Boiler Room to see them play a show.
