When I was growing up learning guitar this and Metallica really got my down picking right!
I was Rob's guitar tech on a Sounds of the Underground tour way back in 2006. Taught me how to play the solo from Impossibility of Reason properly. Still one of my favourite solos! Proper nice guy.

This album, to me, did what burn my eyes did in the mid 90’s to metal, it gave the naughties a serious kick in the ass. This album still kicks serious ass!

@@RobArnoldWorld as humble as all you guys are, that album was an absolute belter, it hit hard when hardcore was king in the UK. My go to album for a while pre stage was TIOR, it replaced BME. I’m now stateside, I relocated prior to covid. Would love to see you guys with the OG line up one last time.

CRATE Amp!!! Hardening back to a day when all I could afford was a 65w 2x12. Spent all summer paying my parents back.
This was the track that made me a fan of the band. A friend of mine had just bought that album when it came out and invited me to listen to it together, well, long story short i bought all the discography after that. Imposibility of reason is definitely my fav album of yours. It was my intro to this band and it will be something i will always carry with me wherever i go. Be that the album in cd form in -my car or the mp3 form in my cellphone and another album at home for my personal collection. Bless you guys. You shaped my taste in music.

I really like the chromatic riffs and the changes of key throughout the song. Always abrupt but well placed. And the slayer style solo at the end is a nice touch.

My fav chimaira song ever. You guys out did yourselves on that 1. I got a buddy from cleveland,he sent me a pic of a sticker you guys had before you blew up. Apparently its in his buddies garage. There are 6 little symbols on the bottom of it. I always respected the fact that you guys never used baphomets or anything like that. Bravo! Way back in 2005 my first band covered this. We played at a friends parents house for her 15th birthday. Setup in the garden, everything on 11 and the police turned up due to noise complaints. 😂🤘🏻

One of my all time favorite Chimaira tunes. This whole album really. I remember getting ahold of a bootlegged burned copy that had a voice over in the middle of every song advertising the record release. I listened to that cd so much that I can still hear the voice over when listening to certain songs on the album… lmao!! 🤘🤙

Man, what I have always loved about you guys are the riffs, the grooves, the breakdowns & with you, your approach to solos. You have that art of showcasing skill with pleasant sounding, purposeful execution that some just don't have. It's the layers of the instrumental tracks too that just hooked me in. Great video. I love when you play you have the James Hetfield down stroke.
It is something else and even seems harder then playing is teaching the solo. Because what is being done is feeling without really knowing where to play, if that make sense.

I have a request for a potential future video on your channel.
Is it possible for you to do a video where you explain scales and their practical application when playing guitar ie. the pentatonic scale.
As a guitarist, one of my biggest frustrations is that even though I can play guitar solos by other bands that I like, I’ve never been able to write and compose my own solos.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could impart your knowledge on this topic and assist aspiring guitarists like myself with improving their skills.
If I could be half as good as you, I’ll be a very happy man!😅

Awesome Sudhir! I wish we could have made it down to South Africa as well man. I thiiiiiink the band did on the Crown of Phantoms cycle, but I obviously wasn't around for that one.
I will consider putting together a soloing lesson video. Although in the past, what's prevented me from doing this, is that everyone is at different levels when it comes to their abilities, tastes, proficiency, etc. So it's difficult to wrap my head around how I'd want to approach a video like that. But I will begin thinking about it again, and see if I can cook something up. Cheers brother and thanks for all the support!🤘

So many really cool notes for this song and I found it to be very enjoyable as always. Rob just maybe one day you and I could get to jam this song together. Every time I've watched your Quick riff series I found myself wishing that I could by there with you learning to play Chimaira songs. But as I don't have the money to buy a guitar right now, then I guess that I'll just have to enjoy watching your video's. Maybe on the next Quick riff series could you play Trigger finger from "The age of hell" album ? or anything from that album.
