So, I bought the limited edition one last night despite already having the original switch. Actually, I'm quite satisfied. I avoided handheld play because it was so uncomfortable, but this device really is much lighter and more ergonomic. It didn't bring on my carpal tunnel syndrome like the big one does. I think it's worth buying even if you have a big switch.
they couldve made the lite half centimiter wider and longer for added battery capacity. i also wished they used the same button mechanism on the regular switch. lites buttons are so cheap to press

I've had my turquoise Switch Lite for a little over three weeks now, and I'm loving it. I am quite glad I chose the Lite over the larger, original version. Given I haven't really gamed a lot since childhood (with my Gameboy Advance SP), it's so nice to be back. Save the Light is endless fun!

Im Luiss keep an eye out for competitions in your area that have switch or cash as the prize and try joining them. Got a lite from one myself. Begging isn’t really gonna help you much other than making you look like a beggar.
I looked closely at the Switch Light, and actually went with the original Switch. I liked the screen size better as a portable, and Amazon Basics make a nice travel stand, so I can play handheld, or with the controllers disconnected and the screen seated in the stand. Overall, either Switch is a great device. You can’t go wrong either way.
Exciting watching this today while waiting for my switch lite delivery later on today! Finally jumped the gun and ordered one. Decided on the blue one. Although was very tempted by the yellow. Will keep the OG switch for tv play solely.

I'm glad you point out the screen lottery issue. I wish the other youtubers would do the same, so Nintendo would be forced to source out better more consistent quality ones in the future. What I've discovered personally tho, having had 8 different Switches in our household, is that this panel manufacturer has a dust under the display issue. All 8 Switches we have have dust under the screen panel. Nintendo quality is pretty poor when it comes to this.

I was considering buying a regular Switch, but I tried a Lite the other day at my sister's place and all I can say is that the buttons feel so much better. For someone who will play the system portably most of the time, the Lite seems like the one to pick up.
I really appreciate that you talk about the colour differences in the different panels. A couple years back I got the iPhone 11 Pro with the OLED screen, but I actually returned it and swapped it for the iPhone 11 because I preferred the overall look of the LCD. I now have a Switch Lite to take on the train more easily, and I've noticed how different the screen looks from my 2017 Switch and not so keen on it. But for the price of the Switch it makes a lot of sense that they don't have the same level of QA as other tech manufacturers, just hope the OLED Switch is good!
I got the Zacian and Zamazenta, too. I am so happy to buy the Lite. The buttons are so nice compared to my Original Switch. So happy for my purchase. I was planning to get the Grey, one. Good thing the Zacian and Zamazenta is on offer and were actually cheaper than the 3 other Lites.

I love the Nintendo Switch Lite! I picked up this edition a couple of days ago and I can't stop loving it. Personally, this has become my favorite Switch as I really don't use any of the regular features of the original Switch.
I am so tempted to buy a switch lite. My biggest problem with the switch is that it is just a bit too wide, heavy and cumbersome for sitting or laying in awkward/weird positions. I feel like the switch lite would go a long way to solving those problems, which is why I am so tempted by it. The device also looks really rugged and durable, perfect of being tossed into a back pack. And the Zamazenta design is so cool looking. Not garish like the turquoise or yellow but also not drab like the gray.
I have both, a Switch Lite and a Regular V2 switch. I must say the display having the pee look on the Switch regular is not present on my Switch Lite display. The Switch light provides an all around a better handheld experience. Love your channel btw. I love collecting multiple 3ds' as well. :D
Glad that the Lite is a hit and that Doug Bowser has recently stated that Nintendo will continue to support the 3DS/2DS. A black Friday special edition 2DS XL with upgraded screens and speaker could be a very nice surprise though. One can only dream that Nintendo releases more first party 3DS games as well.

Have mine but my wife wanted to hold on to it for Christmas, which I am perfectly okay with, LOL! What else do you get a guy who basically buys what he wants throughout the year? Makes it a lot easier for her and gives me anticipation waiting for it. Can't wait for Christmas so I can boot it up, set it up, and then move over my files. Then, my kids can play the Switch even if i want to play!
I went on a vacation to Japan to have a break from all the school action and bought this in Bic Camera the limited edition one and bought the Pokemon Sword Game so I could play and I’m loving it! I love the blue and red/pink color combination. To me the best non-limited edition color of the NS Lite is the yellow one. I recommend getting the Limited Edition one as it is a little bit more expensive. It cost like 27.780 Yen and the regular one was like 27.777 Yen.
BELLA As someone who commutes everyday on trains and buses for uni and rarely comes home besides study and sleep... the lite is great for me. The og switch was a little bulkier for me and the handheld mode felt weird with the joycons. I was originally going to buy the lite when they first released but noticed they were releasing this Pokémon version so I patiently waited 😬

There's no deal on the Lite one on Black Friday but with the original one, you'll get free Mario Kart (digital) The only better thing about the Lite is that it feels a bit more comfortable when playing in handheld. But it can play Switch games but not all of them, and it can't dock to play on big screen tv. The og is just a bit longer (switch lite is like the og switch without 1 joy-con) and if you're a kid and that is too much, then yeah, get switch lite
John Doe Be careful with that recommendation though. I've heard the advertised Black Friday Switch with Mario Kart is the version 1 Switch. The version 1 switch has lower battery life than the switch lite.

And yes, the battery life of the og is just a bit shorter (30 minutes) but because it has a bigger screen and it's not a dedicated handheld system and that is the dock is for (don't you sometimes want to play game on a big screen tv with all details or play with friends, family?)! And if the reason to buy the Lite because of the budget, you can find great deals on eBay, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist,.... Btw, I got this one today also but just for the collection purpose as I use my og for both handheld and dock mode as I don't want the headache and hassle of the primary/secondary policy crap from Nintendo

I kind of think the illustrations on the back should have been the same color as the joysticks and buttons in the front like one of the Pokemon that blue color and make one of them radish color so it would stand out a little better that's my only gripe the illustrations blending in a little too much they are kind of hard to see unless you really look at them which defeats the point of getting a special edition.
I just got this Switch Lite and comparing it to my regular Switch it has a slightly more yellow screen and it's driving me crazy... besides that it's an amazing console!

I’ve stuck with the regular one, with detachable joycons, however, I will consider switching to a Lite version and leave my regular Switch docked at home, since I will just play it in handheld mode anyway on the go. Wait, so for contrast ratio CAN be less than another? And a chance for bruised pixels? Sounds like a gamble, especially if you want the pokemon edition, they're starting to sell out so getting your hands on two of them is going to become increasingly more difficult.
I really like the Pokemon special edition Switch Lite enough that I ALMOST picked one up as a second Switch but I still can't get over the fact that they didn't reformulate the control sticks meaning that drifting is potentially an issue yet again, only you have to send the whole system for repair instead of attaching another joycon in the interim.
Got mine today too and it's my very first Switch and so far I can't put it down plus it's also my first time playing Let's Go Eevee and I'm loving it can't wait for Shield and Sword
I just have FIFA, Fortnite, and I got the classic NES and SNES games like Super Mario World (1,2 and 3), Metroid, etc. for free. I need more games soon lol. And also wireless controllers
I wish they had a black one, but I might just opt for the gray on even if it's the most boring looking one. I feel like the dark color will help me with immersion when actually gaming because the bezels don't stand out as much like the yellow or turqoise.
Great video. Beautiful console, my favorite Switch Lite so far. So is it feasible to keep switching which console is your primary/secondary based on which console you want to take with you? I've heard people say that you can switch an unlimited amount of times using the console, but there's a limit warning when using the website. Anyone switching primary/secondary consoles on a frequent basis? Any limitations? (Number of times you can do it, time delay, etc)
Is as good as an iPhone 11. Almost the saw screen. And quality is good on TH-cam if that means anything. 200 vs 700.. can’t compare really but for this “cheap” the switch is a steal

I am so conflicted. I want to get the new pokemon switch but also like the turquoise. Would also love to get the new purple and orange joy cons plus the mario red to go with my Satisfye Christmas holder. Though I also don't know whether just to get the new updated battery switch. But then today I saw the new Thrustmaster modular playstation controller which might be great for Mortal combat 11. Also might get anew pokeball to get the gift of mew for my sword & shield since I used the other for lets go. That is to much stuff for very little benefit. All this adds up to about $1540 AU which is way too much. Maybe I should do the smart thing & just update the normal switch for better battery. I just love gaming & all these products. I drive so much joy just from owning them but mostly using them. Do I have an issue or should I count that as a blessing that I can find happiness in so many different places. I mean it's not like I get much joy in shopping or any other products for owning them. Really just nerd stuff like movies, gaming & statues to do with both gaming & statues. The good polystone kind.

Glad that the Lite is a hit and that Doug Bowser has recently stated that Nintendo will continue to support the 3DS/2DS. A black Friday special edition 2DS XL with upgraded screens and speaker could be a very nice surprise though. One can only dream that Nintendo releases more first party 3DS games as well.

Have mine but my wife wanted to hold on to it for Christmas, which I am perfectly okay with, LOL! What else do you get a guy who basically buys what he wants throughout the year? Makes it a lot easier for her and gives me anticipation waiting for it. Can't wait for Christmas so I can boot it up, set it up, and then move over my files. Then, my kids can play the Switch even if i want to play!
I went on a vacation to Japan to have a break from all the school action and bought this in Bic Camera the limited edition one and bought the Pokemon Sword Game so I could play and I’m loving it! I love the blue and red/pink color combination. To me the best non-limited edition color of the NS Lite is the yellow one. I recommend getting the Limited Edition one as it is a little bit more expensive. It cost like 27.780 Yen and the regular one was like 27.777 Yen.

BELLA As someone who commutes everyday on trains and buses for uni and rarely comes home besides study and sleep... the lite is great for me. The og switch was a little bulkier for me and the handheld mode felt weird with the joycons. I was originally going to buy the lite when they first released but noticed they were releasing this Pokémon version so I patiently waited 😬
@@SAJANOVA Unless you're a kid or on a really, really tight budget, get the original one! There's no deal on the Lite one on Black Friday but with the original one, you'll get free Mario Kart (digital) The only better thing about the Lite is that it feels a bit more comfortable when playing in handheld. But it can play Switch games but not all of them, and it can't dock to play on big screen tv. The og is just a bit longer (switch lite is like the og switch without 1 joy-con) and if you're a kid and that is too much, then yeah, get switch lite
John Doe Be careful with that recommendation though. I've heard the advertised Black Friday Switch with Mario Kart is the version 1 Switch. The version 1 switch has lower battery life than the switch lite.

And yes, the battery life of the og is just a bit shorter (30 minutes) but because it has a bigger screen and it's not a dedicated handheld system and that is the dock is for (don't you sometimes want to play game on a big screen tv with all details or play with friends, family?)! And if the reason to buy the Lite because of the budget, you can find great deals on eBay, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist,.... Btw, I got this one today also but just for the collection purpose as I use my og for both handheld and dock mode as I don't want the headache and hassle of the primary/secondary policy crap from Nintendo

Picked this up recently still around $200 on Amazon. Although, it only comes back in stock once in awhile at that price. Very excited !

I kind of think the illustrations on the back should have been the same color as the joysticks and buttons in the front like one of the Pokemon that blue color and make one of them radish color so it would stand out a little better that's my only gripe the illustrations blending in a little too much they are kind of hard to see unless you really look at them which defeats the point of getting a special edition.
I just got this Switch Lite and comparing it to my regular Switch it has a slightly more yellow screen and it's driving me crazy... besides that it's an amazing console!

My Lite seems to have a rather bright screen and nice white point, but contrast is on the lower side, guessing 750:1. Overall quite happy with it.
I'd love to get one of these and emulate my DS Phat, get a black back cover and buttons but leave the grey front... or spray paint it silver and give the screen a black boarder... what would look pretty cool!
Wow, you have allot of Switch’s. I’ve stuck with the regular one, with detachable joycons, however, I will consider switching to a Lite version and leave my regular Switch docked at home, since I will just play it in handheld mode anyway on the go. I do have a question though, does the Switch Lite have better battery life over the bigger Switch?
Nero Pytherios it has a slightly better battery life than a v1 switch original, but a little worse than the v2 switch from what I understand

Wait, so for contrast ratio CAN be less than another? And a chance for bruised pixels? Sounds like a gamble, especially if you want the pokemon edition, they're starting to sell out so getting your hands on two of them is going to become increasingly more difficult.

I really like the Pokemon special edition Switch Lite enough that I ALMOST picked one up as a second Switch but I still can't get over the fact that they didn't reformulate the control sticks meaning that drifting is potentially an issue yet again, only you have to send the whole system for repair instead of attaching another joycon in the interim.

I wish they had a black one, but I might just opt for the gray on even if it's the most boring looking one. I feel like the dark color will help me with immersion when actually gaming because the bezels don't stand out as much like the yellow or turqoise.

Great video. Beautiful console, my favorite Switch Lite so far. So is it feasible to keep switching which console is your primary/secondary based on which console you want to take with you? I've heard people say that you can switch an unlimited amount of times using the console, but there's a limit warning when using the website. Anyone switching primary/secondary consoles on a frequent basis? Any limitations? (Number of times you can do it, time delay, etc)

Is as good as an iPhone 11. Almost the saw screen. And quality is good on TH-cam if that means anything. 200 vs 700.. can’t compare really but for this “cheap” the switch is a steal

I am so conflicted. I want to get the new pokemon switch but also like the turquoise. Would also love to get the new purple and orange joy cons plus the mario red to go with my Satisfye Christmas holder.
Though I also don't know whether just to get the new updated battery switch.
But then today I saw the new Thrustmaster modular playstation controller which might be great for Mortal combat 11.
Also might get anew pokeball to get the gift of mew for my sword & shield since I used the other for lets go.
That is to much stuff for very little benefit.
All this adds up to about $1540 AU which is way too much.
Maybe I should do the smart thing & just update the normal switch for better battery.
I just love gaming & all these products. I drive so much joy just from owning them but mostly using them.
