After all the Special Edition 3DSxls that had no chargers , it's ok to be a bit excited about having a charging brick (Especially since both had the same MSRP at release XD)

Its looks different and the camera saturation of the hues doesnt make justice of what we see on screen.
Blue is close to navy but lighter shade and red is kinda reviolet-bloody red.
I just bought this for my son for Christmas. I really hope he likes it. He’s 8 and had been wanting an original Switch....but the lite is much more affordable for a single mom.
Brandi L. The lite is just as good, I would get it for younger kids as it is a lot more durable if he drops it accidentally, not to mention it is a special edition and I think he will like that a lot. I have been loving it personally. Keep going strong, single parenting can be difficult but as long as you keep it up and push through it’ll all be fine.

That is not true for two reasons:
1. It's pronounced Zashan, not Zassian.
2. That's nowhere NEAR magenta. Magenta is pink, close to purple. The colours are red and blue, like most Pokémon games.

How does this edition differ from regular lite except that it is expensive and has different colors?
I have this Switch and I *L O V E* it. It's both extra and simple at the same time and that's what I like.
It also has sentimental value because the guys at Gamestop remembered my birthday and pre-ordered it for me in secret because I actually wanted to get it day 1 but it was preorder only and I forgot about it.
So imagine the thing I wanted to complete my collection going from "It's out of stock,we closed the preorder yesterday." To "SIKE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY,HERE YOU GO!!"

I think it’s interesting no one is concerned about the switch lite’s buttons and sticks yellowing over time. It’s nice to see one without the white (not including the triggers/bumpers those are fine)

One small thing you missed is that I believe in the controller tab after updating to the latest firmware, the buttons on the switch lite will actually show up in cyan and magenta respectively.
Why did nobody notice that the blue and red sides also represent the blue and red joycons on the regular switch?

8:51 I think Nintendo wants to keep the system looking as simple as possible. This way it looks like a much more mature system, than opposed to a toy.
While the examples of different special edition Switches looked REALLY cool, the example of the Pokémon Snap Switch made it look cheap/toy-ish like when compared to a regular Switch, but it was also my favorite. The Zelda one on the other hand looked pretty cool and something you would want to display possibly.
But I do agree that their OG Switch special editions did look rushed/half-assed, which made people not want/care for them as much IMO.

@@chilly6470 unfortunately it depends on your luck on the screen matter , for me i got a really great screen without any issue at all (second try by the way ,my first original switch got an ugly yellow tint screen & couldn't handle it , sold it & got this version .

i feel that these special edition switches are indeed dedicated to a certain game but making it just an outline gives a new aesthetic to appreciate. Also later on in life when the next pokemon game comes out you don't feel outdated due to your design on the back. it is more like something to appreciate if you really pay attention. and remember you play other games on there too! This switch is to generally feel like it fits anygame. not to be embaressed with you playing mario kart on a pokemon lets go switch. idk jsut my thoughts, hopefully it made sense

The question is, when the thumb sticks inevitably fail, and you send it into Nintendo to get it fixed. Will they replace it with the same color thumb stick? Or will you end up with a black thumb stick?

I agree. The yellow is my favorite. Ya the buttons dont have a contrast but it doesnt matter because the whole system pops! It even makes the screen seen brighter than it actually is since the bright yellow bezel jumps out at you

I originally preordered the pokemon switch lite but I really wanted the yellow one and just impulse bought it the day it came out. No regrets there.

@@Quiqueleal85 ya nintendo definitely needs to start taking more advantage of different colors and designs for all switch models. Theres no reason the Lite should have all the fun. N64 and Gamecube both had tons of colors and became more collectible as a result. It's weird that the ps4 nowadays is the one that has some models with wild colors and designs like the Spider-man special edition being all red and white, whereas the most colorful Switch OG was the pokemon with colored joycons and the same grey dock with pictures on it.

Surprisingly this one lasts longer than the yellow or coral ones. Lots of store still got this edition while they ran out of coral and yellow already.
