I ordered this for my little sister after I told her they were completely “sold out”. I’d been saving money for it and am going to give it to her on Christmas Day. She’s a huge Pokémon fan like I am, and I’m really excited to see what she’ll say. I love my sister 🥰 She got me a Lets Go Eevee version switch so I’m getting her the Pokémon lite 😊
Edit: She *loved* it. I ended up hiding it under her bed before she finished opening all her gifts downstairs, so she was distracted when I “excused myself to the bathroom”. She looked almost disappointed before I told her to go look around upstairs, and she came running back down five minutes later with the thing already open lmao. Since then she also got a bunch of Nintendo gift cards, so I helped her buy Cattails (like Stardew Valley but with cats) and Untitled Goose Game 😊 Such fun! Loved the look on her face.
The universe is a simulation that’s so sweet! I hope she enjoys it

In spite of the Pokemon-Stuff, this Lite-Version looks best regarding the colors, i think.
I think the grey makes it look old/retro. I think I'd prefer a dark midnight blue in place of the light grey
it's the only good looking switch lite imo. that weird green-blue, washed out yellow and ugly grey colour just suck.
to me the switch looks better
I just wish there were no sketchings on the back. I usually don't like any kind of franchise themed consoles but the colors are cool.
I actually adore all the versions of the Lite with the exception of the yellow, which I loathe. The regular grey one looks nice and matte, the teal one is practically my favorite color, and the Pokemon one is stylized pretty well.

That is how Amazon US used to package things, and it was far superior to how they do it now. Often the shrink wrapped bundle would be hot glued to the bottom of the box so it wouldn't move around in shipping.
Got mine on pre-order and picking it up on friday and the dual pack pre-ordered for next friday and I can't wait because that's one of the best looking switch editions I've seen.
Let's not exaggerate.

It looks really dark grey, i thought it would be lighter considering the images shown before and on the box itself.

I'd really consider getting a Lite but the whole hassle with saves etc kinda holds me back. Oh and if they only could make the screen a little bit bigger, sacrificing some of that bezel, that would be dope. Maybe in a next revision.

you just saved me a chat with their customer service because i couldnt find the information anywhere confirming nor denying that this has a copy of the game with it, i just got a black switch mini last week but i was considering getting the special edition but at the time it was sold out now its back up on amazon for preorder days after i got mine :')

Okay, I'm glad I went back to the beginning of the video and looked at the opening again, as I wasn't really paying attention. I thought the implication was that when Japan ships things they just plastic wrap the product to a sheet of cardboard, throw a shipping label on it and wish it the best of luck.

I ordered a Japanese copy of Sushi Striker, a Pokemon Switch Lite, and some Nintendo Hanafuda cards throughout this year from Amazon Japan and they've all had that sticker.

Ive bought 2 Gen 1 Switches and my biggest gripe is that there was no color variations outside of the Joy-Cons. Im super excited to get this on friday .

Not personally a Pokemon fan so would have loved if they did this colour scheme without the Pokemon design on the back. I love the light grey base with red and blue buttons, my favourite design so far for the Lite model.

I will agree about the coloration layout, it is appealing to the eyes, though I'd drop the brightness of the colored buttons by about ten, fifteen percent, because those hues look better, darker, especially against a lighter grey.
I've not had the opportunity to play the Switch or the WiiU, though I do like the idea of being able to take the console with you and continue playing on the go, then after returning, placing the console back in the dock and continue playing on the main display. The PSVita was the first I know of to attempt this, and it's a feature I very much approve of, though I'd rather simply suspend play with a portable live memory pause and then after returning home, resuming play from where I left off.

Looks good, I'm picking my up on Friday at Gamestop. In my area there was one pre order per a store. I was the lucky one to sung it. Learn the other day they would receive a few extra.
Yeah, I learned that you could order them for a few weeks, but only in store when the online store said "sold out".Then they would ship that ecact amount to the store... So I was lucky to pre order one at my Gamestop...
I love the colors on it. I’ve never really been into Pokémon tho. Although I’m sure that’s about to change. I’m definitely adding one of these to my collection. You may have just sold me on getting the Japanese version. It would be my first Japanese console. Cool video brother!

My Switch lite is the First and only In stock they had at the Gamestop store in Cleveland Ohio downtown. I reserved it just seconds after they opened their reservations on it. I will be playing Zelda Breath of the Wild

I've been holding out on getting a Switch. There's already enough games I want to justify the cost (Zelda BotW*, Mario Odysey, Splatoon 2, FFCC remake) but I also have a ton of other games I've yet to finish so I feel I can wait for either a price drop or the rumored Pro edition.
*I know I could get it for my Wii U at a lower cost but the Switch version should perform a little better and offers portability should I ever decide to actually use it that way.

Well considering the "limited edition" has been beaten to death since the GCN era (the platinum GameCube which was more common than the "normal" ones) they will make a ton.
