Damn, I think this was my first M-rated game for PS2 when I was a kid. It was a little scary watching Jaws eat people and hearing the bystanders scream, but the open ocean free-roam, destruction, aquatic creatures/enemies, and different environments were really fun🦈🌊🩸🎮. Plus, who would've thought we'd literally get to tear Shamu's ass up?🐳😭😂🤣 It's no wonder you never see a Great White Shark in an aquarium🙊😳😭 I wish this game was remastered for next-gen consoles. Imagine how much greater it'd look with 4k, next-gen graphics🎮📺

Jaws still the best shark game though maneater doesn't have as the gore as this game neither dismembered actions like cut in a half ripping heads/arms/legs even swallowing also hitting humans agaisnt the boat while you swimming on the surface with them. In man eater you eat it in one chomp and the whales or big stuffs becomes meatballs lol, def a knock off of this game just a little bit prettier graphics
3:11 FYI since a ton of people playing the game get this wrong, this is Micheal Brody, not Martin Brody. (The idiot son who has to get bailed out in the second movie, and then becomes the main star of the 3rd and 4th movie). The 3rd and 4th movies don't technically officially exist together(the events of Jaws 3D aren't mentioned in Revenge), but they seemingly do in game as he's sort of a composite of both. His dad has been dead for years at this point though.
best playthrough of this game, BrookHaven86 & "The Fujin". I have no idea if they're still active. but the letsplay is on youtube still. and its still just as funny as it came out.
What always stuck out to me in this game is just how smart this iteration of Jaws is. Grabbing and throwing depth charges at boats. Corralling/ramming them into dangerous areas. Everything involving the escape from the aquarium. This thing is spiteful and scary intelligent.
I love playing games like this, but it is really hard for me to like Jaws because of the slaughter it caused on innocent sharks. Please support sharks as they recover

Great whites do not act like this at all. This is fiction. Seals are the only thing that are in danger from great whites
It's pretty much abandonedware now as appaloosa interactive, the developers went defunct way back in 2008 :(

One of the greatest games I ever played. The movement and combat system was great, the open world exploration was amazing. Needs a serious remaster.
The fact that you could target individual body parts was cool, but then you hit the giant squid boss. Masterpiece.
