I test drove before and my friend have one of it..and Yes definitely one of the BEST pickup truck. Triton Mivec produce more power than its competiors Hilux 2.4 (if compared 2.4 with 2.4) hilux need 2.8 to compete with triton 2.4. love the low end torque less turbo lag than the others and great handling as well.. another pickup truck of my favourites would be Nissan Navara but tan chong really need to bring in the thailand spec 2.3 TWIN turbo! since we have euro5 diesel already..and not forgetting the next powerhouse coming Ford Ranger Raptor😍

Very sad that Mitsubishi Malaysia has not given us the Super Select 4WD II with DIFF LOCK available in Thailand and Australia that allows the Triton to be driven like a AWD vehicle. Why do we always not get the best? And also get the 8 speed transmission from the Pajero Sport into the Triton that will really give the Ranger a run for its money even without the twin turbo.

Does Malaysia have the Ford Ranger, VW Amarok and the Mercedes X Class? I'm trying to figure out how the Triton made it into the top 3
S Maphela we have the ranger, no amarok but I’m not sure about the X class
malaysia dont have amarok and x class but do have ranger. Triton would made it top 3 imo is due to overall complete package for its price eg. good performance to weight ratio, hybrid LSD good handling, safety package etc.
In term of ownership cost, japan brand is much more forgiving than owning american brand. Especially ppl who live in rural area with no asphalt on their way home, they would choose a cheaper truck to maintain.

Mitsubishi Triton is also the 3rd best selling ute in Australia. Unfortunately Toyota and Ford are just ahead of it. Love my Mitsubishi.
