In this very special episode hosted by our very own Eu Jin, we gathered five pick-up trucks to find out which is the best in the country! Together with our industry friends, we put them through three challenges - drag race, hotlap and an offroad bucket challenge. Which is your pick? Episod yg menarik dgn challenge yg bagus..tp kalau buat towing test & carry load test lagi menarik..dan tambah cabaran mengharungi air pd paras 0.7meter - 1.3m (banjir) sbb nye kebanyakan pick up dpt mengharungi air pd kedalaman tersebut..kalau dpt tmbh 3 test☝️ memang awesome lah...

staying in sarawak with lots of pick up trucks around, I'd suggest the team to come up with on-the-bumpy-road comfort test and use the water bucket method too. personally, i think navara has got the best bumpy road comfort for drivers and passengers when not bearing heavy load on its bucket due to the rear dual suspension. for those who have driven suai section of bintulu-miri coastal road in sarawak, I have once driven my friend's np300 at a constant speed of 110kmh and my friends can still comfortably sleep despite the bumps unlike the new ranger, colorado and even the new hilux that i have used to travel through the same routes countless time.
hence, if anyone looking for a very comfortable pickup truck for passengers, i believe navara's the answer.

Well Done, very interesting to watch this pickup shootout video created by Malaysian. Just a little suggestion, maybe next time we can talk more about payload, off-road performance, on-the-road comfort, noise level, fuel consumption, and maintenance. These are the aspects I think most pickup truck user are concern about. Anyway, love to see all the outstanding reviewer gather together and make this video so interesting.

I owned a Triton and once you buy it you will not regret it. Power, comfort and stability. Driving it all day is not exhausting. And the power is there when you need it. Once it get past 1500rpm you'll be driving a rocket ship.

I like the parameters you conducted the test to check for speed, stability and the shocks/bumpy ride. Its convincing to the buyer. However it matters with different drivers, they have unique styles of driving. As per result, Mitsubishi shows better performance but I still prefer Toyota hi-lux or Ford Ranger/Raptor. There is always a driver factor on these tests.. I rather see one driver driving all, or all driver drives each, and then see the cumulative result.

Very nice review. 10 years ago i watch reviews and buy strada gls 4x4 because its on top of most reviews. My friends buy hilux 4x2 of the same price with my 4x4 strada and the other had her dmax. Now our pick-ups were sold and we got half of our unit price except for dmax with the least price due to early damage on the transmission (lady driver). I enjoy my offroad trips while my hilux friend enjoy hiking with his branded reliable vehicle. Durability and reliability depend on how you take care of it. Event SOME china brands now are more profitable for us on busses and trucks. Now i love my montero gt but is jerkier side to side than my raptor.

TRITON for me as well, as I'd test driven all above except for Dmax. Triton driving dynamics is definitely the best and also better transmission. I'd driven the Hilux, the transmission is "lazy" and slow.
I was like the Triton too but now looking toward the hilux for its look and reliability
@@hansonmmm The 2.8 hilux isn't reliable mate. Don't go for it. Dpf problems and air intake issues. Major problems with it in Australia. Go for the triton or dmax.

Do a 2nd episode of this, its fun yet informative to watch. Its great to see crossover between hosts from different media and would good to add few more test like Towing, Fuel Consumption, Banjir test and Load test
Triton is really, really powerful. I saw the other day, the bed was loaded I noticed the amount of drop of the rear end (real heavy because triton uses leaf suspension which dont sag easily) coming from a stop, my poor old hilux cant keep up with his quick acceleration and im the only thing in my truck, no load at all. Im really looking forward to the new Triton, thats a solid truck for it's price, performance, looks, it can do anything simply amazing.
got to make a choice between navara vl and the hilux conquest.

the final challenge are no point run with time for some drive fast and slow, they should test carrying 500-800KG in trunk and Drag race to compare which pick up are more power and braking
I have a hilux which can load about 2000 KG in mountains and desert roads really difficult roads, i dont think other trucks can handle that, if you like I can share some pics with that load.
My ford can load about 3-3.5 ton of palm fruit

@@user-tl8ld2pu2k you haven't done your research if you think the triton is better than any of the 4WD's in this video apart from the Nissan Navara. I'm Australian, I literally drove 4,000 kilometres in two weeks in heavy rain and horrid heat in the Hilux and it handled everything with ease.
A bunch of idiots driving around cones and racing doesn't prove anything about these cars lol. Toyota always tops the cake for reliability, survivability, and off road use. Take it from me bro, I've been driving 4WD's for years.

@@tyggzy1695 I'm staying at Cameron Highlands malaysia, here is a travel places and also vegetable and fruit farm place. 90% is farmer included me, our place is not "high way" road but is full of rock and mud road when we go to farm and 10 family out of 10 have a pick up track, so your research just research, we here is having those 5 type car, those car owner share they experience about driving and problems,also some of them to modified they hilux to racing because hilux old model is easy and suitable to mod, so u tell me your "research" ....hmmmm....
