To this day it remains a mistery how Bear McGreary managed to NOT win best score for this game. The burial at the opening alone screams: "Give that man his award!"
“I feel like I can feel his emotions through the screen” you can it’s why I consider this to be one of the best story telling games. You can feel everything they want you to feel, if its through the music or the dialogue or the facial expressions.
It’s always a special treat to see someone play through this masterpiece for the first time. It lets me come as close as I ever will ti reliving my first experience. I’m obsessed with this game, so the bar was admittedly pretty low. But I’ll definitely be following this through ti the end. You’ve played it once before (albeit 4 years ago) and you’re still tearing up at the opening scene. That’s emotional investment, and I can’t wait to see [REDACTED]. Hoping you’ll also be so kind as to let us Ragnarok out with you come the fall!

I looove the music of this game. I have never played it myself, only watched other people but the soundtrack I listen to regularly. So sad but poweful somehow. Seems very fitting for the Kratos we meet here. Even if it's just coffee, taking a sip every time he says 'boy', will make you hyper-active for several days 😂 And that boss fight is such an awesome way to start off into the action of this game after the slow(er) hunt with Atreus. Also I have finally found someone who just cries at anything even remotely sad, yay! You are my spirit animal 😂
Yes! YES! YEEEEES! Gods, I’m so excited for this! This is one of my favorite games ever, despite having never played any of the previous God of War games. The animation! The MUSIC! It’s so heart rendering every damn time. If you want some cool extra tidbits of info, look up the English lyrics of the theme song. It’s pretty cool. (Also, they’re singing in Icelandic - it’s the closest to Old Norse!) It’s so cool with all the hints to the old games and the lore that one might not catch if you haven’t played the other games or don’t know about the story. That little diss from the Stranger about Kratos’ “kind” being enlightened? Yeah he means the Greeks, lol, the Norse pantheon throwing shade at the Greek one. Also, completely OT: you look extra nice in this video! ☺️ Is it the lighting in the background? The hairstyle? I don’t know, but yeah very nice ☺️

I remember back in 2018: Marvel's Spider man, God Of War and Red Dead Redemption were released in the same year and competing for game of the year. But God Of War win the game of the year I was hoping if Santa Monica Studios was delaying GoW Ragnarok, push it to 2023 so the Marvel's Spider man 2 had competition. Because Marvel's Spider man 2 are the only big game next year. But we had of course, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Zelda, Final Fantasy, maybe surprisingly more announce big games in the future. If we gonna get playstation showcase this year
This is going to be an amazing series. Personally, I couldn't get into this game but it's only because I didn't like the gameplay. The story, music, camerawork, everything else is absolutely amazing! Can't wait for more of this!

Love watching playthroughs of this game and you’re doing really well and you’re clearly going to love how story driven this masterpiece is. I do have two things that will add to the entertainment factor though. After you do the counter with the shield if you press it again he will counter-attack. Also on regular enemies if you hold down the heavy attack he will perform an execution on them. 🤯🔥🔥Oh and if you want to stun them so you can watch him rip them in half do you have to use barehanded attacks!! Hope you enjoy the rest game as much as possible and that can’t really be done unless you’re lopping heads off in my opinion😄😄😄✊🏻✊🏻
You're in for a treat! I'm not going to spoil anything, but if you played through the earlier games, you would know why Kratos is the way he is. This is still a very good game to start with though, with Ragnarök coming out this November, there's no better time to start this game. I'll be watching!

I've only played the God of War games from the ps2 to the and the ps3. I'm not sure if this game ties into the older ones or if it's only like a renvisioned reboot of the series but it looks like it has a good story.
If you think your crying now just wait till the end. There have been think pieces written about how this game has affected new fathers. How they are now watching how they act around their children so that their kids become better than them.

It's actually not ice, it's light. Baldur is the Nordic god of light. Light has a sort of crystalline property and appearance in this game.
