Very useful! This will get me started. I have several mics already but was particularly interested in the Creator Kit mic since it is all connected together for when I am rushing or traveling and need minimum gear to mess around with and to add weight. My 3 just arrived a couple days ago and am looking forward to play time. I have gone from a Canon 80D on a MOZA Air 3, to a Zhiyun Crane M2 first using my Sony A6500, to a Zhiyun Smooth 5 using my iPhone 14Pro and now down in size further to the DJO Pocket Osmo 3 each time getting pretty high quality and each time a smaller, lighter bundle which makes life as an aging photographer a whole lot easier for travel and food stories for internet publishing. You video really helped me gain some confidence in starting up using the audio for the Osmo 3. Thanks. I found the through my lap top speakers and iPhone speakers, all mics sounded pretty much the same with decent range of frequencies until I got to the DJI one that lacked full range for the lower frequencies - the bass. Then you mentioned a glitch in your test. But it is easy enough to up the bass in post so I am not worried. Altogether, the sound from all mics sounded pretty good. I have to do a number of interviews outside so since we are getting some Santa Anna winds coming in the next day or two, I expect to do some of my own tests. Thanks again. But for my real estate work, the Osmo 3 with my DJI Mini 3 Pro, I think I will be getting some pretty good visual synching between the two. And neither will be using audio. I put that in in post.
So Glad I could help and I think you will be Happy!
Your review is SO much better than another I watched, which was a waste of time. Thanks for the detailed description of the hookup requirements! I love my Pocket3.
Your effort is much appreciated, Steve. Keep going!
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for thinking of the little things that make a difference. Good Video!
This is so helpful! thank you so much sir. Sending lots of love and respect from Japan
This is exactly what I was looking for!
Same!
Very useful! Thank you so much for sharing
What a legend i was looking for my adapter to test this.. and i saw your video.. great stuff steve
I learned from the best so thanks!
great video! thank you so much for doing this
Can't wait for my camera to arrive next week. Looks fantastic, Steve great test with different mics
Thanks so Much!
Thank you for the video. Really useful.
Please don't judge the sounds of the dji mics. I am not sure if something funky happened in settings or davinchi resolve. I will do another dji mic test.
Hi,
Could you please do some overheating tests?
Like how long can you record with a huge SD (512 GB) in 4k@60 plugged to the power brick? Will you be hit by the overheating issue?
Thanks!
FYI : I had to send mine with a RMA for overheating and I'll get a new one on Monday, it couldn't last more than 15/20 minutes while recording in 4k@60, about 10 minutes in 4k@120...
Nice video by the way, I own the first Rode mic you tested (I used it on my OP1) and it sounds nice.
I didn't even have the time to test the wireless official DJI mic I got in my creator package before sending it back...
I'll give it a try as soon as I can confirm my new unit it fully working.
I actually use a Zoom H4n mic while filming and recording concerts and I sync the sound track while editing on PC.
You got a new sub! :)
Excellent video, very helpful and informative; thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
Excelente! Just what I wanted to know 🙌
Good and informative video as always 👍
Thank You!
Thanks for information 🙏
Glad to know the usdc cable works!
Awesome video, thanks Steve, subbed.
Wow Thanks!!
Steve, new subscriber. Nice summary of audio choices. Thanks.
Welcome aboard! Thank you for the kind words!
I enjoyed your video. From it, I learned how to pair my DJI mic - thanks! I also enjoyed the other mic tests and learning that other mics are possibly. I liked the Hollyland Lark Pro best.
Tonight, just messing around, I found I needed to update the Mimo app to the 25-Oct-2023 version on my iPad to in order to enable support for the Pocket 3. After the the update, I was able to connect to the iPad in order to test using the iPad as an external monitor which will come in handy for shooting some low-end industrial videos.
Awesome!
Excellent information. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent vid mate, I was wondering if I could use my Rode mics with the P3✌
I got the Hollyland Lark Max and love it. Having a pair of mics with each one saving a safety track on the mic itself saved a couple of rushed recording sessions.
🥳🎉🎊🎈🎆 🎇 Hey Steve CONGRATULATIONS on reaching 2K+ Subscribers 🙏🏽 its an amazing achievement & keep grinding Bro 🎆 🎇 🎈🎊🎉🥳👏👏👏
Thank you for your kindness!
Thanks for the interesting test.
To my ears, the DJI Wireless Mic is one of the better ones!
pretty much impressive review sir
Thank you kindly!
CONGRATS FOR YOUR 2K SUBS. YOU ROCK, STEVE! 👍🏻💪🤟🏻
Thanks! I was just giving up on this channel to concentrate on my other channels lol
@@SteveWB You never know what's around the corner.
disappointing that none of them would work wirelessly thank you so much for uploading this as it answers the question that was a deciding factor for whether I pick it up or not
Someone suggested plugging the other mics into the dji mic to make them witeless. I plan to test that soon. Not sure how a rode wireless will sound plugged into the lav jack of the dji
@@SteveWB yeah but i wouldn't need to do that if I have the dji mic already.
i have the same setup with the trrs cable , when i record a video with a external mic and play back on my osmo pocket i have no sound on the osmo pocket ( audio level beter works ) when i put the micro sd card in my computer i have sound on the video. . . strang right? or do you have the same ? when i only record with the osmo pocket 3 with no external mic i have sound on osmo pocket when i play the video ( also external mic is not working in USB-C port when external battery is empty ). . .
If you try to playback on the pocket 3 and anything is plugged into the usbc port the camera thinks it is a set of headphones and tries playing the audio through your mic. You must unplug to hear playback.
@@SteveWB ok thank you i will try
one thing would be cool to see, is how to mount these mic systems, something that may have a coldshoe mount to hold the transmitters and maybe the rode mic pro?
Dji makes a extension adapter coming out soon and I think it has a cold shoe.
I thought about using the 1/4 20 screw on bottom to attach a small rig cold shoe to hold receiver? Great content
Thank you!
Hello Steve, thanks for the video. I was interested in whether other microphones also work. In the German channels I was told that only the DJI microphone works. Greetings from Hamburg Germany.
Great video and thanks for making it. Very surprised how bad the DJI wireless mic is though.
I will revisit it. I may have had a setting off or something. I was concentrating more on how to hook the mics up and if they work.
I am not sure why, but whenever you talked through DJI mics internal/Mic 2 only left speaker was working which didn't reflect true stereo sound of DJi.
Hey there Steve, informative video thanks, So I'm a long time user of the Pocket 2, enjoyed it mainly as I could have both the Rode Mic in the 3.5mm jack, and charge it all at the same time via USB-C and a power bank but that doesn't seem a possibility anymore? From the adapters I have seem they only allow charging and headphones, but I assume won't have much luck plugging a mic into a headphone socket. Do you know of any mic/charging adapters? Or is there currently no way of doing both?
I would try something like this. amzn.to/3FBXLNG If you can't follow the link it is a usbc to 3.5mm adapter with a 2nd usbc input for charging.
There isn't a risk of damage somehow? That did seem like an easy solution, but almost *too* easy! @@SteveWB
@@franksmith4730 I see no risk. I have these.
Thanks for the great video. I got the pocket 3 for Christmas and looked all over for instructions on the wireless mic. Just the mic, nothing else.... What are the three buttons do, what do the red, blue, flashing blue, green, flashing green, steady green, actually mean..?, and why does the orange bar sometimes come in the screen and other times it does not. Sure would love a video just on the mic, A slow, simple, complete video that does not include a bunch of other features. If you make one please let me know, if you know of one please forward. Thank you so much and have a great new year.
I will try to put something together.
Hi Steve! Thanks for all your work! Regarding the USB-C adapter from Stouchi, is it the "USB-C to Jack" or "USB-C to Headphone" adaptor? There seems to be a difference. BR Uwe
I thought there was only 1 I will have to research
The Saramonic SR-C2006 is supposed to work well with the Pocket 2 so that's what I got for the Pocket 3. We'll see how well it works, I'm hoping to also sync with a Tentacle Sync E MKii and jam that to a Zoom F8n Pro + iPhone 15 pro max running Blackmagic Camera app.
I hope Smallrig, Tilta, or someone makes a cage for this soon.
Any luck with the Saramonic SR-C2006? I tried using this adapter paired with the rode lavalier 2. Lav 2 into Saramonic then straight into the pocket 3 usb-c... This did not work.
I was the 300th liker ❤🎉
Thanks so Much!!
Thanks I was wondering why they said used the receiver with the type c connector but still no sound
I noticed you used a separate receiver, which required plugging into the P3, for every mic except the DJI2. I'm already running the Pocket 3 with the DJI Mic 2 and want a budget 2nd mic that connects via Bluetooth (not a cable). Any recommendations there?
Your only option without a receiver as far as I know is to buy a 2nd DJI mic or You can record from the DJI mic and the internal pocket 3 mics at the same time.
You probably had the best video on it with the addition of using in the dark and overheating which no one mentioned. I have my own wireless mic but it still seems the creator kit is still worth it with all the additions. It’s only money amirite….
I am glad I got the combo. The battery alone was almost worth it. The wide angle lens if bought separately is 50 bucks!
Great reviews mate, one question, can you save an orientation for when the camera turns on/off. Say for instance I mount the camera to something get the gimbal facing where I want it to be, then switch it off and have the ability to turn it on and it go straight back to point the way I had it and star recording? Hopefully the way I’ve worded that makes sense.
If you turn it off and back on again then it will recalibrate and go to the forward facing position
Yes you can: in the settings, you can choose the default recording “view” like forward facing, selfie mode or even have it adopt the latest setting automatically. I hope this helps. 👍🏻
Can you use a DJI mic 2 transmitter and a wired shotgun mic at the same time?
No
Thanks for the video! I just got a pocket 3. I am using hollyland mics, similarly as you. HOWEVER. After a day I have noticed that every second clip now has distortion on the entire clip when the mic is picking up (when I am talking). It's only every SECOND clip, I've tested it a bunch, tried swapping my cables, testing it all on another device with perfect results. Any idea what the heck is going on?
That is a tough one. I have not experienced that because I have been using the DJI mic, I will try the Hollyland and see if it happens to me. Did you try recording internally on the hollyland because if the internal file is distorted it may be a mic issue.
Really good and informative video although I have a doubt, you use the battery extension of the combo creator kit for your tests but ..can I obtain the same results using the USB-C port of the extension with tripod base that comes in the basic kit of the pocket 3 ?
Thanks in advance.
Yes you can. I confirmed this with my op3. The battery must be with power delivery.
You should be able to
At first I thought that extra square-ish attachment was a second external battery. However I quickly realized that it is simply there to provide a screw port for a tripod mount if you don’t NEED the external battery. Nice touch by DJI, but perhaps a missed opportunity? They could have placed a small cell or two inside for extra power it seems…I imagine that inside it’s simply a hollow space.
So cool, thank you for showing that the fulaim. The fulaim also comes with an usb c adapter, would that work as well as the cable?
Yes it does!
Have you tried to connect the Dji mic 2 and at the same time a external mic for the on board recording with the USB? Or does it only take up the built in mic on the osmo pocket?
I know you can use the DJI mic and the internal mics at the same time. I have never tried a usb and DJI mic at the same time.
hey can you start the recording with the Mic 3 like the Mic 2?
You can use the mic as a remote
@@SteveWB thank youuu for the answer 😍
Some mics mono and some stereo or at least in both channels. Did you do them all through 3.5mm jack or USB-C? Fulaim sounded best to me but mainly because I got it in both ears.
All except the DJI mic went through the 3.5mm to usbc adapter. I expected some to be that way but I didn’t want to add the 2nd channel so people knew what to expect.
The original wireless DJI double mic kit works. You need to plug the receiver into the Osmo. It works fine. The new mic 2 will not accept FRRS connections for the lav, it needs an FRS connection, so you cant use your FRRS lavs from the original DJI double mic. Don't know why DJI did that.
I was hoping you had the DJI Mic Digital Wireless Microphone available to see if that hooked up.
Do you find that the extended battery wiggles quite a lot when connected? Doesn’t feel like a tight fit
It is slightly loose but not much.
@@SteveWB thanks mate. Great video by the way
hi plz atached Direct type c wired microphones......and direct atached type c wireless mic K8 china microphones.....plz guied this
Nice review! But does it work with the Mic that came with the DJI Pocket 2 creator combo? Also curious how it would sound. This is an intersting question for anybody who owns Pocket 2 mic. Could safe money when upgrading.
A fellow youtuber told me the pocket 3 does not connect to previous mics. I am unable to test myself.
More questions about the DJI Mic 2. (1) What format is the internal recording in? Does it support 32 bit float? (2) How does one retrieve the audio from the transmitter into the computer? Is it through the USB-C port? (3) How much internal memory does the DJI Mic 2 transmitter have? (4) Is there anyway to set the gain on the DJI Mic 2 for the internal recording?
32 bit float = YES.
(1) yes but you have to activate it it the Pocket's menu. It worth noting that the video recording seems to shows 32bit audio too
(2) yes by the USB-C port
(3) 8gb
(4) I doubt it but you have 32bits floats right ?
@@Irae00 thank you so much!
Having the 32 bit float ability is just one of the premium aspects of this incredible technology in the OM3. I would use it certainly for professional recordings of my wife when she gives lectures (she is an estate planning attorney). But unless there are any other special use cases which require this kind of feature and the wider audio range that it offers, I would stay away from it. Apparently it leaves a huge impact on storage; no need to have enormous file sizes every time I touch the device because most times I use it for recreation.
Hi great video thanks!
one question....
if I use dji mic 2 to record, will the mic on the pocket 3 itself record sound too?
so I can talk on the pocket 3 and another person a few meters away can use the mic 2 concurrently?
No it will only record from the wireless mic
I would buy the rode pro for the pocket 3 but I really can't stand having a cable and the receiver hanging off the camera. It's so inconvenient.
Hi, thanks for the video! Do you know if I can connect one dji mic with another hollyland mic and get them to work together at the same time?
Not that I know of
ı tried with smallrig w1-c .it works perfect.ı dont need creative kit.
Each of your cheaper mics sounded better than the Rode. There is a hiss emanating from the rode. It happens to mine also when is use it along with my Sony camera
Both the internal mic and the DJI wireless came through in mono (single channel). All other brands came through in stereo (both channels). That's odd and I wonder if that's a bug in the product or if something else happened...
I have to wonder if because it is capable of using 2 wireless mics it saved a track for mic 2. I will research and double check my settings. I did have the pocket 3 set in stereo mode?
@@SteveWB Yeah, it must be some setting... Because on the previous video where you showed the footage (with the wireless mic) everything sounded just fine. 😀
@@Copywritingcom Maybe Davinchi resolve did some wonky stuff because I had footage from multiple devices.
I know this is a silly question, but I can't find the info anywhere online and you have had the most in depth hardware review I have seen on the Osmo 3.
How many mics can you connect to it? Like could one link a Mic 2 kit as well as the one that comes with the Osmo for a total of 3 mic inputs?
Can connect only 2 directly to the Pocket 3 but if you connect through the usbc I assume you could do more. I haven't tried.
Excellent review Steve. I have a probably dumb question but am I correct to understand that all the alternatives you describe (except DJI Mic) require the receiver to be connected to the Pocket 3? It seems for all the examples we are buying 2 units Tx and Rx, except DJI Mic? Are there any Bluetooth mics that connect to Pocket 3?
Only the mic that comes with it will connect wireless.
Thanks. Does a Ulanzi J12 USB C work with Pocket 3? The full combo is sold out on Amazon Canada, UK and Australia. But some base combos are available.
On my iPhone 15 Pro Max both the DJI tests sounded much louder from the left (top) side of my phone as if a stereo channel was balanced to the left. Or this may just be how mono comes through on my iPhone. The right (bottom speaker) was much quieter but still audible. Either way it sounded noticeably worse than all the other mics due to it being so much louder on the left (top iphone speakerphone speaker).
I think because the pocket 3 is setup for 2 wireless mics it only recorded to 1 track instead of 2 so I will have to look for a stereo setting. Your phone is ok it was on my end.
@@SteveWB I can confirm this Steve. Through my amp and speakers they all sounded decent except for the internal and external DJI mics, all sound was coming through the left speaker but not the right.
Rode wireless go is the best and legend!
Awesome job.does the rode works without the extended grip?
As long as the usbc is plugged into the camera. The grip is just a battery.
Hi, does the microphone attached to the USB record on it's own audio channel? So you can record both internal left/right and the DJI external also?
If a usb mic is attached only that mic will work. You can record internally on the DJI mic and with a usbc mic.
Hi Steve, great video, i have a question though! can i attach an audio source that isn't a mic to the 3.5mm jack and it work? just say for example an mp3 player directly into the mic, will that come through the video with OK audio? thanks! :)
I tried hooking my mp3 player up to the adapter and into the Pocket 3 and I got no sound from it just a crackling noise.
@@SteveWB ok thank you so much for the response! do you have any idea how i could get clean audio into it? i'm looking to use it to record dj sets in various locations with it, thanks
Great video, but it could be more equal opportunity for the DJI mic to compete with others without the dead cat.
Hi Steve! I want to know if I could use the creator's combo mic at the same time with a Rode wireless lav, and if so how would you set it up to see both audio levels on the dji screen? thanks¡
I don't know if that is possible.
Cool that you can connect the Rode Wireless Go but what do you do with the Receiver, just leave it dangling???
Until I can get the expansion adapter I am putting a cold shoe on my camera with 2 sided tape.
So can you connect 2 fullaim x5 mics and record them both using the osmo pocket 3? You used only one mic transmitter, wanted to know if I could use both. Thank you so much!! X
Yes you can!
Can I use the wireless mic and the builtin mic at the same time. For like a case where you want to conduct an interview. Using pocket osmo 3
You can if you use internal recording on the wireless mic.
Will the Non-DJI mics (rode, etc.) connect automatically as soon as you turn it on like the DJI one does? Or is there some lag or issue since it’s off brand?
Only the DJI mic connects wirelessly the rest must be plugged in and will connect right away
Great video. Question...instead of using the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to connect the different mic systems, could you have just plugged them into the 3.5 plug on the DJI Mic that came with the Pocket 3 and then they would have been wireless? This is my first time viewing your content and I came here because I just ordered the Pocket 3 yesterday - Wednesday. I have the Pocket 2, along with the DJI Action 2 and 3, OSMO Gimbals 4,5 and 6. I really trust the quality of the DJI brand and their stuff is very used friendly, Thanks, Charlie from Central Ohio
I have not tried that..... You can plug a lav mic into it so I don't see why you couldn't plug others in. I will have to try it.
@@SteveWB Yes it should work and will be great because the DJI Mic 2 also supports 32 Bit Float. I think alone for this Mic the Creator-Combo is worth the money.
@@SteveWBwhat about directly usb-c from mic side to usb-c into osmo?
so no volume with "Built in mic" and barley any volume with the dji mic?... i cant hear you saying anything with those two.. not sure if ur having issues or if this is that bad...
Thanks a bunch Steve, new subscriber here ! Did you, by any chance, tried those wireless mic with the transmitters plugged to the Pocket instead of the receiver ? I wander how to monitor audio wirelessly with the Pocket 3, so basically the other way around. I'm curious if the Pocket would sees it as an audio output or not.
I received mine today, great camera but the audio part looks pretty limited by the USB-C port and by the fact that it doesn't support multi-tracks (yet), if I plug a USB-C mic it deactivate the DJI mic :/
I did not try anything different other than what was in the video and thanks so much for the sub! Let me know what you think of the pocket 3 after you try it a few times. I had to update mine 3 times since purchase.
@@SteveWB Mine once, but I hope the audio part will be upgrade for sure ! I ordered some audio parts (usb c to jack adapter like in your video, but also bluetooth adaptor). I'll let people know about the wireless monitoring. So far I love this tinny camera, thanks again for the good work !
For people wandering : so far I tested an USB-C bluetooth adapter paired with my bluetooth headphones. The Pocket 3 recognize the system as an output AND input, so the mic of my headphone is recorded. When I plug the DJI mic, it overrun the headphones mic and then I can monitor the DJI mic wirelessly. But the Pocket's USB-C port works like a charm, just a shame you can't select the audio input
@@Irae00 now that's interesting. I may try a BT transceiver I have, with my Sony or Apple ear buds and connect via cable to the Pocket 3.
@@jbeletti The delay is very important, but if you already have the hardware it worth a try. Let us know
Steve, does the DJI mic that came with the pocket 2 creator combo work?
yes for some reason both DJI mics came through as mono. I will try to figure out why.
Do you have another dji mic tx? I'm curious if it can connect to 2 mic at the same time then you can use it for interview or 2 man show recording
I have only 1 mic that came with the camera but it is setup to handle 2 wireless mics.
Hi so can I use the holly land c 1 mic with the osmopocket 3? The holly land transmitter has a usbc that could plug into androids but can I plug it in directly to the usbc port on the handle of the camera?
Yes
thank you so much!! @@SteveWB
Best lav mic for this system? I heard there might be some interference with some brands.
I am not sure. I have only 1 lav mic and did not try it yet.
please help. why cant i access my mic gain, and cant connect my rode wireless on it, it works on my pocket 2. thanks
Connect mic first then select pro settings and click the mic icon.
Hi mate, one Small correction for your video. For the fulaim x5 you can directly hook the receiver to the pocket via the right angeled usb c and you dont need that wire. Also with the fulaim x5 with that usb c you can go for pass through charging too.
You are correct.
thank you! this is the question I had as well.
@@nyceucryder 👍
I was just thinking that as well
How would you pass through charge with the Fulaim? That is the mic solution I am looking for. I want to connect a wireless mic, but since I didn't get the battery extension, I also want to be able to charge the pocket 3 at the same time. Are there 2 usbc's on fulaims? Or will it just charge pocket at the expense of the fulaims internal battery?
Which cable would I need to to straight usb c connection from rode to dji?
USBC to 3.5mm if I remember correctly
How can I add a cold shoe mount to the pocket 3 to hold the rode receiver
I use the adapter that the Insta 360 uses for mics. It attaches to the selfie stick
Can you use two mics at once? The DJI Mic 2 with the USB-C microphones connected at the same time? Do you have a Shure MV7 and does that work with the USB-C connection?
I have only 1 mic that came with the camera but it is setup to handle 2 wireless mics. I did just connect it to my Moano gaming mic via usbc and it worked. I do not have a Shure but yes it works with a usbc mic.
@@SteveWB Thanks so much. Just to clarify, were you successful in using the Moano gaming mic as well as the DJI Mic 2 at the same time? Or is it only possible to use two mics if they are both DJI Mic 2 transmitters?
@@dermdoclaura I just tried it and if I plug both in only the wireless mic records.
Thanks so much @@SteveWB ! Appreciate you doing that for me.
can i use a normal earphones with mic and plug it into the jack adapter instead of the fancy mics in the video? i'm trying to be resourceful with whatever i have and this is the only source of mic that i currently have
I have not tried that so I am unsure.
I have a Ulanzi J12 with a usb c connection . Does the 3 have a usb c on the unit itself (charging port) that would accept and record the Ulanzi J12, which is a top mic for the $50 price. Do not wish to buy the combo pack.
It does look n the bottom but you need the handle for the 1/4 20 mount.
what about the original dji wireless mic set..
It does not connect.
@@SteveWB that sucks,,,
I'm curious why the sample of the internal Mic and the DJI Mic 2 were in left-side only, while the other Mics were on both left and right?
Davinchi resolve did some funky stuff. Not the mic's fault.
Dji mic 2 work White iPhone or android also or camera like Sony with wireless connection?
Or we Need to attach a cable?
I am sorry I do not know the answer. The mic that came with the pocket 3 only works with the pocket 3 for now.
I am a new content creator. I use my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 as a web cam now. I am debating taking it out on the fly as I am in the Florida outback for real most of the time. So its GoPro around water. However I noticed your DJI internal AND wireless were both streaming in MONO on my left speaker. Was that intentional? If not, I need to get that adapter and go external wireless with the other brands.
I had the mic in the wrong setting so all my fault.
Great video but unfortunately I'm left with the big question that has really bugged me since the release of the Pocket 3. I have the DJI wireless mic, the one that was included in the Pocket 2 combo. There seems to be a lot of conflicting info on whether it will work wirelessly with the Pocket 3 just like it does with the Pocket 2. I'd love to hear any thoughts you have on this. And thanks again for another highly informative video.
I ask a friend of mine and he reported that the previous dji wireless mic is not compatible with the pocket 3. Unfortunately I have no way to test it myself.
Much thanks for the response. It's disappointing but it is what it is. I just now checked Amazon and the Combo has sold over 500 units and is now not available until at least mid November. The camera alone can be had Monday and has only sold 100 units. I'm guessing most of the difference in sales is due to the combo having the mic.
I have the dji mic too the original one and I tested it out on the pocket 3 and I was upset because i was hoping that the receiver would connect to the pocket 3 hahaha it would of been a nice feature to add for the loyal owners of the dji pocket 2 as a good transition to the pocket 3 that idea I think would of made more people want to buy the pocket 3 in my opinion
@@Hankster651 wide angle lens, extra battery. Also, you can always buy the wireless mic transmitter later. Also the Pocket 3 takes two mic transmitters.
@@mannytroll9572 +1 hopefully they can add a firmware fix to let everyone with existing DJI mics have things "just work" with this. The workaround for now I guess would be to use the DJI mic RX and plug that up as shown in this video, then it's "just another external mic".
How to organize external mic?
Is there any mount for mounting receiver?
Not that I know of but DJI is putting out a mounting cage with a cold shoe.
how on earth are you getting such clear sound I cant stop peaking sound distortion ( I dont have DJI mic 2 ) using different wireless lavaliere mics
Turn the gain down on the Pocket 3 or in your mic. What Mic do you have?
With an external USB C (non dji) wireless 2 mic system, do you know if you can make a designated left and right channel? I have tried, but the output merges into a stereo file.
I have the same issue.
Guess I will have to wait for the dji mic 2 pair to be released. Creative combos were sold out everywhere, so I bought the camera standalone. Thanks for the response.
How to connect stereo microphone? I connected Tascam Tm-2x using the jack on the remote microphone, but still have a mono.
Is the camera set in stereo. Also are you using a trs to trrs cable to the pocket 3?
@@SteveWB I connected microphone by jack input to the transmiter provided in combo . Is it stereo or mono ? I did not try to connect by USB yet. It is still new and I 'm learning
Can you connect the Rode Videomic 2 usb c directly to the DJI osmo pocket 3s usb c port
It should work but I have no way to test that
On the DJI mics(built-in and Wireless) I get only audio in my left ear?
Yea sorry I think my edit software did something funky
Do you know if you could pair the pocket 2 microphone to the pocket 3?
It will not is what I was told but I have not tried it myself because I do not have the pocket 2
