The 32 bit option is insane and totally changes my opinion of getting the creator kit with a little microphone. If that weren't enough, when you told me that it doubles is a remote control that pretty much sold me on it. So yes, I did not know those things and I thank you for this video, sir.
Seriously. Thanks for this great video. I learned a lot about how the OM3 works. YOU tuned me in to how the glamor app works. Also about monitoring power…great tips throughout this video. Thank you so much and keep it up…you will get to 100k subscribers (including me as of this writing) in no time!
Hey Terry Thanks for this tutorial. Awesome tips on the pocket 3’s “hidden features”. I love that the mic doubles as a remote control. Very useful indeed
Good video - thx! One thing I love about the wireless connection to the DJI Mimo app is that I can use my iPhone as a monitor. I find this to be critical for accurate framing when holding the Osmo high above my head - or perhaps on an extension rod - or very low to the ground or even upside down. I located a phone holder on Amazon that holds the phone around your neck, like a harmonica holder musicians use, so that I can position the Osmo in any way and still easily see what I'm framing.
Can you split the audio left and right. Meaning record to dji mic on one side and the other with a shotgun external mic? So you have ability to have ambient sound plus your talking head audio to edit in post.
Love your style, love your delivery. I ordered one earlier today, nice to feel like I have made a good choice. I have the pocket 2 and use it for ENG style shooting on amatuer documentaries. Keep Vlogging.
Great video. I just ordered and I learned a few things. Videos like this are appreciated for their content but also for the production itself. Great audio, general flow and high production quality. New sub.
You don’t need the creator combo for that. You can use any USB mic or get an adaptor that plugs up to a 3.5mm like the one I showed in the video (link is in description)
@@michaelbell75 iPhones are great, but there's storage limitations, the front camera is not great quality, the DJI is smaller and more ergonomic, and the gimbal/active track provide more features beyond just stabilization.
Dude, the footage looks SOOO good for such a small camera. Can't wait for mine to be delivered. Debating on whether I should get the 3 ND filter set from DJI or wait a month and a half for PGYTECH's 2 VND filter set. What do you suggest? I don't want to have extra ND filters that I won't end up using.
Because of you I just ordered the pocket 3, I can't wait for it to come in! I've been following you since the hair was shorter and you used to put gcam on your samsung phone. Do you know of any good pixel 8 ports for the s23 ultra?
Great video. I've got a Pocket 3 on order, and have probably watched 10 videos about it. I legit learned some things I did not know about in your video. Thanks for the info. Subscribed.
Terry..Please try this...Inserted 256GB Sandisk Extreme Pro in Pocket 3 and formatted card in Menu...Recorded a couple of clips..I then plugged Pocket 3 directly into Win 11 computer using USB-c to USB-c cable.....I then get a message saying "format card before use"....I know what that means....I could still view the clips on my Pocket 3 but can't transfer...I removed micro sd card & put it in a usb card reader...Got same message...Tried Samsung Pro v30 256GB card, recorded a couple of clips, then took out the micro sd card and inserted in card reader and it works....I can't plug the Pocket 3 into my computer directly using USB-c connector on Pocket 3 or I will get the same message and loose everything..I know your not DJI tech support, but after watching your video, you did your homework! I have latest firmware, tried 3 other computers, different usb-c cables...I called DJI tech support and they are having 2nd tier looking into the problem. I just wondered if you heard of this happening.....Great video!
Thanks for the insight, very helpful. I have a video request: review of the bit rates for each video setting, I cannot find anything on this and my DJIP3 never records at full 130Mbps. Or at least I don’t know how to set it for max.
Hey Terry! I just found your channel yesterday and I’ve watched a few of your videos. Love your style and the information you’re putting together. Keep up the great work!
just got yourself a new subscriber, congrats! did not knew some of them specially the control from the lav-mic, even though i saw way too many clips! great video!
Aloha~Does Dji pocket3 have 1)Handsfree Clip 2) Extra Extended Life Battery 3)Can the Camera be Charged while Live Recording? 4)How Far can the Camera Zoom? Thank you👍🤙👊
Yes. However, there is an option In the menu called “sync to video clip” or something like that in the menu, that might use time code to line up the 32 bit float files. I didn’t try it tho
I know you were talking to me in the beginning of the video about being the most exciting camera not the best 🤣 but I do have a question. Does this have some kind of cinematic mode like Samsung and iPhones do where it can blur out the background or did you do that in editing software?
As always, fantastic video, Terry! I actually placed my order for one when I saw your first video, even as someone with a bunch of cameras, this is a fantastic device! I get mine on Tuesday, can’t wait to get to work, appreciate you!
Fantastic!! thank you! Sidebar question? how do you do that buttery smooth slow mo side panning that you do like at 6:23 I've been trying to learn that shot but don't know what to call it.
I'm loving mine. That 32bit float makes it so you never peak your audio again. Laterally no mirrorless cams have that feature built in. Gamming TH-camrs need some of that in their life.😂
Do the internal mics still record if you have the Mic 2 enabled and recording? Meaning, I can still record surrounding audio around the camera and also record voice-over at a distance.
Based on carefully listening to the audio that I've heard from videos people have made using wireless microphones, it appears that, as soon as you plug the wireless microphone in or wirelessly connect, it overrides the internal microphones. That being said, these wireless microphones that also record, don't have to be plugged into the camera, so you are recording both the wireless microphone and the internal microphones on the camera, and you can add them together in post.
Thanks for showing us the picture outside and giving us insights. I use all the time my A7IV, also on my videography TH-cam Channel for reviews etc. But when I am outside I use still sometimes the ZV-1, but we all know about the not so wide angle issue eventhough with the additional lense on. So this pocket 3 looks like a real alternative for on the go shots for my TH-cam channel. Hope I will also get the hands on one, so I could review it as well. Thats again for this super video. Greetings from Austria, take care 😊
Terry can you export gyro data from the pocket 3 ? You do good work ! I have a Hohem isteady6 and bought a cheap mounting plate for my Action 3 , works great however the whole rig is too big.
Can you use the mimo app to control the direction of the pocket3? i.e manually move the camera arcound and have the pocket 3 follow? Can you do a video about it?

Yes the mic alone is worth the 150 $ - so the rest in the combo is for free.
Great information and fun to watch. Thanks!

You've said it's possible to use any 3.5 mm mic with an adapter but does it work with just the camera if I don't have the creator combo?
You don’t need the creator combo for that. You can use any USB mic or get an adaptor that plugs up to a 3.5mm like the one I showed in the video (link is in description)
The answer is, there is no provision for a 3.5 mm connection. You have to have a solution of your own.
I bought one and have one problem. I can’t view the recorded vids on the mimo app on my iPhone. Do you have the same issue?
Is it possible to record from the internal mic and the wireless mic at the same time?
Awesome video, informative and funny. Top man😃 Going to order mine right now....
Great tips! Thank you!
I love this video. It was very helpful and entertaining. I’ll try out the lipstick and eyebrows 🤣😂

Freewell has some coming also. The ones from DJI are very color neutral. I just wish they included more. There is a 16,64, and 256
@@TerryWarfield Does auto ISO work well with the ND filters?
@thatchinaboi1 yes because there are preset iso ranges you can choose from
