    Absolutely amazed! This video tops anything else I've watched about the Pocket 3. It's so well-crafted that DJI should definitely consider featuring it with every Pocket 3 they sell in the future. The effort, skill, and sheer amount of time poured into this is evident. Huge thanks for sharing your talents and hard work with us! 😀

    THANK YOU so much for this great content. I’m 70 years old and have created my own stills and video for my ranch and farm sales business for 20 years now. I am retiring and thought this Osmo Pocket 3 would be a fun addition to my Lumix GH5 and G9II. There is a LOT to know about this little camera. I will bookmark this video and refer to it often. I have a drone as well and have subscribed to your channel. Well done! Jim in Oregon

    I am a pocket 3 beginner and I’m also thrilled looking your amazing video and all the work you had with each chapter. I like it more than any DJI manual because you are answering all my questions without knowing them! I have just one typical German idea regarding videos with so many chapters - it is nice to have the time stamps now but wouldn’t it be easier to cluster the topics to have all the different clips altogether? One cluster for DJI Mic2 hacks, one for Pocket 3 hacks, Selfie hacks, Filming Basics, Gimbal hacks. So when you are interested in just one cluster you can see all the clips in a row, instead of jumping through the whole one hour video - I can send you my excel-sheet to show you how I changed your video to my one personal manual for the pocket 3

    Thanks! I learnt a lot. There is one more neat trick... the .lrf files stored on the MicroSD Card along the video are actually MP4 miniatures that can be used as proxy files in video editing process (such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.). LRF files can be moved to a diffierent folder and renamed to MP4 (may use power rename on Windows PowerToys to rename them in batch)

    Great job you have done. You must have spent tons of time and efforts to make such a long quality insightful, informative video. I have not purchased Pocket 3 as I have a few questions on the Pocket 3 operation.
    While shooting video regardless landscape or portrait mode,
    1) can I snap photos without stop shooting video?
    2) can I pause shooting, then switch to selfie mode and continue shooting, and vice versa? Thanks in advance if anyone has the answers.
    I am newbie to video and switching normal shooting to selfie mode back and forth is vital to me as I want to shoot short videos maximum 1-3 mins, not keen in post editing.

    Thought I knew everything on Pocket 3 after 2 months of using it, I was still able to pick up a few new tricks from you. Great Video! BTW, the aspect ratio selection is available on the Pocket 3 menu as well. The recent software update changes the resolution selection on the Mimo app for the better (IMO). Also, the 1:1 video resolution is 3k/60 instead of 4k/60 on 16:9, so I just turned on 2.35:1 Grid lines when filming in 16:9 to help keep things properly framed.

    Certainly one of the best tutorial for pocket 3 ! Just infos and very well explained ! What a difference with some channels were you have to wait several minutes before reaching one information...I just bought my pocket 3 and try to discover all the fonctions of this wonderful cam. With my SONY RX100M7 plugged on a Crane M3 (for zoom requirements) it makes a perfect setup. I agree that putting chapters in the video will be very useful to come back on a specific point. Again congratulations, ! (Where is the location of your footages, nice place ?)

    Wao !!! This is by far, the best tutorial I have found on the pocket 3! Thank you.
    Let me ask you :
    What is the difference between dynamic tracking and reframing tracking? When would you use each?
    And also, what is the use case for locking the gimbal by double tapping and pressing the joystick ?
    Thank you you ?

  • @TheBukman
    @TheBukman 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Awesome video.
    Regarding tip 26 and the 32 bit float audio what this actually means is you can keep the mic gain lower to avoid clipping the input without introducing as much camera noise floor into your final audio. Audio recording software has done this for years.
    The DJI mic feeds an analog to digital converter which will have a fixed analog input level limit. This analog level limit has nothing to do with the audio bit rate. If you speak too loud it will still clip with or without 32 bit turned on.
    The advantage comes in that you set the mic input gain lower on the camera and completely avoid clipping the input and then later you can raise the level in your editing software and will have clear low noise audio.
    At lower bit rates when you lower the mic gain and record you can introduce the noise floor into the audio when you later raise the level in your edit.
    32 bit basically guarantees the noise floor is negated as an issue due to the amount of extra digital audio headroom you have available during editing.
    The takeaway is that you should lower your mic gain so it doesn't go anywhere near the red no matter how loud the sound and then leave it knowing you will have a well recorded low noise audio track to edit later.

Generaly I’m using lot of your tips with my osmo pocket 3 😊 But I have one question I tried several time filming with “ninja walking” realy focusing to hold and move smooth the camera with just hands in another situations but results are far away from your in videos. Do you use some additional optimization during cuting of videos or how its possible that you have nice smooth videos?

    1:12:35 I'm a bit confused about the photo part at the end. Why would a 1-to-1 aspect ratio use the full frame of the sensor for a device that is primarily for video and uses a 16-by-9 aspect ratio? Wouldn't the 1-to-1 aspect ratio produce a cropped image and use a smaller proportion of the sensor? The 1-inch image sensor I don't believe is a 1-inch by 1-inch square.

    The best vlog on features, how-to's, unknown options and what they do and how to use those alternate pro settings/effects, wow, what an expert you are. Not sure if you're paid by DJI, but you should be - this absolutely convinced me how incredible this action portable camera is, and is the one I will definitely buy (as well as a DJI drone and DJI Osmo 4 camera instead of a heat/battery failing GoPro) and with the extra's you use - bookmarked 'em to get the added items I need and want with very affordable costs - for the added benefits, protections, features, and full experience this camera can give. Wow oh Wow is all I can say, well, I also Subscribed to your channel and will recommend to anyone who asks, or I see using a different set up, or who's is asking about what 'mine' will be very very soon, so Thank You, immensely. Preview trick! I have a large android tablet, so I attach a USB type C to the pocket 3 and then view the files on my 10" screen. This I really nice on location as I can see if I got a good shot

    First - Thank you for the Video! Appreciate you effort and time which goes into such videos..... One question - is there a possibility to disable the Osmo Pocket 3 from flipping the image while recording when turning the camera from fron to selfie or the other way around? This is really annoying that there is always a short sequence where the image flips... hopefully you get my point? Thanks!

    *15:48** : Ahhhh, No ! If you put the tempered glass protector over the lens, then it will affect the use of filters and the wide angle lens attachments from magnetically sticking properly to the front of then lens. There have been several videos posted on youtube depicting this issue. This doesn't seem to be a problem with the 2 inch screen protector, however. You can apply a tempered glass protection to the viewing screen without issue. @ **17:40**: Question - When reviewing recorded clips on the OSMO Pocket three's two inch screen, is there any way to monitor and check the audio playback as well ?*

    • @DougYeager
      @DougYeager ปีที่แล้ว

      The audio playback is there, but if I recall the default volume was zero
      There is if you use a USB otg connection

    Thank you so much for the videos you've done on the pocket 3. I've been looking for a vlogging camera that's great in low light (ghost hunting) and your videos have helped me decide this might just be the best video camera to use. Extremely helpful and very well explained. Is there an optimal setting for low light mode please?

    Yet another excellent post. There are lots of people doing great reviews but frankly your’s are so easy to follow, i had some issues with my mic 2 and in the end after huge frustration sent it back as it was defective or rather sent them back two defective ones. But everything i have that you give instructional content on is a breeze following your advice, currently i use the pocket 3, GoPro hero 12 black, DJI Mini 4 pro all with a host of accessories and power banks, if i remember rightly you use Sony Cameras, mine is the EOS R5.
    Will be looking at the Mark 2 soon when it is released and also end of this year start of next DJI Mavic 4 pro i hope you get your hands on them to do reviews and tutorials, thank you.

    Hello, thank you very much for your excellent explanations! They are really useful 👏👏👏 I just have a question. Is it possible to block the focus? So that also if I move near objects the focus doesn't change. For the exposure I set it manually. Thank you!

    • @TheDroneCreative
      @TheDroneCreative  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! Happy to help! It’s definitely possible! Just go into the settings and change the focus mode from ‘Continuous’ to ‘Single.’ This way, the focus will lock in place as soon as you hit record and stay that way until you stop recording.

    I don't own an Osmo, so I would like to know if there is a way to have a normal lens ?
