You must be STOPPED. Don't you dare make these mistakes again or you're going straight to jail. Also I messed up my dates and the CSP coloring tutorial is supposed to come out Sep 10 lol 🤷♂🔪 1 more month ;(
Hey why do I hear police sirens outside my house, their also getting louder. Wait! I'll never make a mistake again!! Noooo!... I really like this lessons tip, its very helpful. I was struggling for a bit, but I'll practice using my arms more than my wrist.
I'd say TRY to draw with your arm but if you get back pain stop it immediately. Took me a long time to learn that was killing my back. Resting my arm is the only way to draw all day without anything hurting. Just use stabilization or zoom out to draw with your wrist and still get clean lines.
For mistake #1 that's a principle in FPS games too - using your whole arm with a larger mousing surface engages more total muscles and increases your overall precision, it's just a known fact. Outside of some extreme outliers, it's all arm-aimers for pros
@@theoneonlyhiiro7016 disclaimer: brushes doesn't mean 💩 in digital art, if you struggle to draw with basic brushes, then custom brushes won't help either
Procreate feels hard in start. Play around with brush stabilisation and streamline in Brush editor and it’ll be easier. Also try ‘Studio Pen’ and ‘technical pen’ brushes from Inking set and ‘Monoline’ and ‘Script’ from Calligraphy set. Brushes don’t matter but these are better suited to get used to procreate. Hope it helps. Ask anything if you need 🙌
i love your videos, im in my late 20s and i just started drawing with a pencil and paper ! i had a dull childhood where i didn't try anything i want because of reasons, well better late than never ! keep it up, your videos are awesome.
A great bonus to going over your lineart again, redesign options. You can try something different in a specific spot and see how it looks with the rest. Allows for a lot of artistic freedom I feel.
Thank you! I was always confused about "line suggestion" but from any figure drawing book I've read or video I watched, no one ever touched up on the subject and the "science" behind it but you explained it crystal clear. Thank you so much!
I’ve been finally getting more comfortable with digital art and the drawing with your entire arm tip definitely helped a ton when I first heard it. I also have nerve damage due to medication so my hands shake a little so using large arm movements instead of wrist movements helps my lines be less shaky. That and using more angles and turning the canvas when I’m during curving lines helps a ton with my specific needs.
I gave it a try today to draw with the whole hand on gesture drawings and at first I wasn't expecting much but once I started so many lines seemed so much better and I was also able to make them faster than before! Now I feel like I was drawing wrong for so long,so thanks Marc :)
I found your channel a week or so ago and I've been wanting to try drawing (along with every other hobby on earth), so hey, lucky me for finding you, BUT, I just wanted to say that your last tip about not rendering the entire line is really powerful. I'm super perfectionist in all my other creative outlets and overthink everything, and I could easily see myself trying to draw every single line of whatever it is I might being trying to draw. So yeah, thanks for that tip!
Tip 2 was worked godlike for me today. Didn't realize the huge benefit of it helping my line confidence so today I started doing my second sketches without even really touching my first. I was able to make pretty stuff faster while getting double the practice in lineart. It's very similar to getting over the fear of having to erase things and forcing yourself to just redraw them. Thanks for pointing that out. Would appreciate material rendering vids if you run out of ideas--specifically clothing and metal or something more general like how to approach studying any material.
Thank you for making a video that actually explains not only the problems, but also how to risolve them. I swear, every single video just points what's wrong and doesn't say anything else.
Your last tip on line suggestions is so useful for me right now. I'm currently drawing Sailor Moon and found how difficult it is for me to draw skirts. Thanks for another 🔥 video 🙌🏾
line art is always the bane of my existence because I always like seeing the information in the sketch more than the actual line art always end up redrawing it multiple times maybe the suggestion of line instead will help me more.
Best lines come from best teachers. Listening to your guide lines is always helpful. It's always a good idea to stay in line with your on line teaching😁 Thanks Marc, always a pleasure ro draw lines under your watch!
Thanks for the reat video. I still have a lot of trouble with everything you've talked about, so it's a great help to have you talk a bit about these points and give examples and reasonings for them.
You are the art teacher I needed when I was learning - thank you so much for generating all this great, helpful content! This is giving me a new lease on my art life. Keep doing what you do, the art world needs more level headed, rational, yet ENTERTAINING teachers. You rock.
My art has already been leveling up lately, but your tips and methods have been seriously helpful in that journey. I've even discovered my own methods and have used them to great effect.
Hi Marc, I discovered your youtube channel a few days ago, and I think it's a gold mine for an apprentice artist. Even if my English is not very good, I can still understand most of your advice. Thank you for all this valuable information
Thanks Prof! I definitely redraw my drawings so many times to just get it right! Going to work on my light weight and the right tool to use and process for refined line art!
I have a few questions, 1 can you draw wolves 2 if so can you show us how to use the same steps in drawing people? if thats even possible, I'm decent with drawing busts and head shots but i struggle at drawing full body. thanks in advance even if you cant do that still love your videos!
So Your edited intros always.. hurt my brain but I always appreciate everything afterwards (and the fact it's edited that way at all :) ) so that's a good tradeoff 😂 Thank you so much Mr Marc Burnet!
These came at the perfect time, I'm currently trying to work on my line confidence and putting lines down deliberately as opposed to "in the moment" so thanks!
Great video Sensei, despite being part ofthe actual program, i hit quite a common struggle bus which the previous 2 videos you made on the topic havnt helped me with - blank page syndrome
BRO MARC THANK YOU SO MUCH! am literally in the middle of drawing this one piece and i cant figure out wht is wrong with the lineart. I am gonna try ur tip on drawing it for the 2nd time and see how it goes! Thanks for all the other tips as well, super helpful!
I always like your videos before I watch them, so when you ask me to pay by liking I feel like I can't do that and I'm doing a dine and dash type of deal lol. Anyway, incorporating a cam of your arm as you draw to show technique and practice is also something which adds A LOT. These videos help me learn new things all the time, thank you so much for posting these regularly. 10/10 video.
Just when I was thinking “my line art really needs to be better”, along comes this video - many thanks! What kind of size range do you use for your brushes? The legendary brush default size is 40 and I always end up scaling it down to around 10, but maybe my canvas needs to be much bigger?
I'm late for class sorry teach!!! Love the intros as always, I always chuckle at them, also line art is the bane of my existence so yea I will be taking a lot of notes
(english is not my first language) question to the comments: when making a full body sketch, how do construct the body, star with the head then what ? (what im doing is, make the head in the posiion i like, torso and arms at the same time then the legs )
You must be STOPPED. Don't you dare make these mistakes again or you're going straight to jail. Also I messed up my dates and the CSP coloring tutorial is supposed to come out Sep 10 lol 🤷♂🔪 1 more month ;(
Roger 👍
Yes sir
It's illegal to wait that long 😭
Hey why do I hear police sirens outside my house, their also getting louder.
Wait! I'll never make a mistake again!! Noooo!...
I really like this lessons tip, its very helpful. I was struggling for a bit, but I'll practice using my arms more than my wrist.
Coloring tutorial Sep 10?! damn Ill wait then should have been 25 so it lands in my birthday

Interesting i havent heard that for pro gamers
I like how you repeat previous tips into new videos. Its a refreshing revision thanks sensei.
Your tip are very good😊

Yo?

I love your intros, they always crack me up!
And your tips are priceless!
Thank you Marc for the tips on how to avoid mistakes and how I can improve 🙂
Perfect timing!!! Very struggling with lineart on procreate atm because I recently switched to it
Procreate lineart is so hard for no reason. I get your pain 😭
@@elliottstuff ikr!? I think it’s something to do with the brushes

Tbh I just make my sketch more cleaner and count that as lineart

I was just about to draw hair when this popped up, you really are always on time Marc :)
You mean, he's always on the Marc?

I'm familiar with most of them but the overrendering/line suggestion one I've never seen before. Thanks for this Marc.
This man's the reason I can art 😭🤚
¡Gracias!
That last mistake is something I really needed to hear. I'm really glad you got this one out :D

It's amazing that your videos fit perfectly with the problem I'm having at the moment I watch them, thanks again master Mark 🙏
My art has already been leveling up lately, but your tips and methods have been seriously helpful in that journey. I've even discovered my own methods and have used them to great effect.
I just downloaded the legendary line art brush, and my art has actually improved quite a bit.
My lines are much cleaner and more confident now :]
THESE TIPS ARE SO HELPFUL!! THIS IS INSANE
Hi Marc, I discovered your youtube channel a few days ago, and I think it's a gold mine for an apprentice artist.

I hope now i will make beautiful lines. I am struggling to get right and smooth lines for past few months. Practicing to draw from elbow.
I'm really happy you gave a demonstration on using the arm lol
Thanks for the video. It was really helpful!
💛💛💛💛💛 Much love from the art community!
Thanks Prof! I definitely redraw my drawings so many times to just get it right! Going to work on my light weight and the right tool to use and process for refined line art!

Line suggestion tip might definitely open eyes for some people. I kinda knew about that, but intuition prefers to overdo everything xd
Marc and others have pointed them all out before...but I find it hard to actually...do them.
Thank you for the lineart detail, Marc now i see my errors in better detail; a very great tutorial of explanation.
Great suggest about drawing with the whole hand! I tell my students that all the time too 👍
Thanks for this, I've been getting into Comission work, and this will be helping me a lot.
Thank you sir! will keep in mind.
Pressed LIKE, Marc.
Thanks for what ur doing here!
Yay new episode
Nice tutorial
I always add the details on the sketch layer, so when I do the lineart, all the things I want on the piece is already there
always a great upload every time
These came at the perfect time, I'm currently trying to work on my line confidence and putting lines down deliberately as opposed to "in the moment" so thanks!
Everyday I'm grateful your YT channel exists!
Thank you for the lesson. It was very helpful and informative.
The last advice was as if directed at me! Now I see what didn't work with my drawing! Thanks ❤
The intros of your videos always give me a chuckle. Obviously I love the rest of the video too, but I'd watch a compilation of just the intros
Great content as always, Mark!
Great video Sensei, despite being part ofthe actual program, i hit quite a common struggle bus which the previous 2 videos you made on the topic havnt helped me with - blank page syndrome
Was just having issues drawing a landscape when I saw this video, thanks Mark.👍
I like how new people won't know how many years Marc has been a professional artist for, unless they go watch and like his older videos, genius idea
Thanks for the tutorial...a clean lineart changes the entire drawing...great tutorial like always...thanks for sharing the knowledge...
You’re the best resource I’ve found! Thanks!
I love those intros where you put your face on your drawings/manequins
freaking intro caught me offguard! made my day and ready to do art! great vid as alwyas marc!

Thanks for the video Marc!
I love your art marc i hope that someday i can get to be a pro as well
again thanks for another great lesson Marc
Just when I was thinking “my line art really needs to be better”, along comes this video - many thanks! What kind of size range do you use for your brushes? The legendary brush default size is 40 and I always end up scaling it down to around 10, but maybe my canvas needs to be much bigger?
Thank you! Your videos always teach me something new and I always get more motivation
Don't forget line weight can suggest gravity, which adds volume and heft to a piece.
Man the quality of these vids are amazing.
awesome. Cant wait for the Clip Studio class 👀
Your tutorial lessons are very useful 👌🏾
I have 2 questions.
1- Where's the discord server?
2- Where did you find the intro's figure?

I’ve always believed my line art was the best skill I had with my art, now it can grow even better, thank you 🙏🏾
hey mark can you make a video about paint without line art?
im kinda stuck in line art and want to improve but i dont know how
Thank you! I always "flower" (i call it) so thank you for this video so much dude! Its nice to hear im not the only one who uses undo lol
These tips make a huge difference in my artwork! Thank you so much!
This channel for artists is what middle-aged indian youtubers are for mathematicians. Insanely valuable resource.
Thanks for this man ❤
So useful. Thank you sooo much
Thanks
Thank you Marc i love you (in a platonic way) and you videos
Wow the line weight part definitely is a great tip. Can’t wait to try it
Your intros are honestly god tier
Hey man great video again. I really like the opening animation. I love watching your videos.
