Ngl his style was hard to copy, I needed more attempts but ain’t nobody got time for that Ok Off to lightbox bye.
now sam has to try to copy your art style 💀💀
@@samankucher5117 can't be done
@@YTartschool
:0 ... if only sam can prove you wrong :(
wait Marc u were at lightbox!!! i was there on saturday! did you have a table?
@@alexdemaster_5796 I was just walking around :D
Omg you drew in Sam’s art style, and you did such a great job
My two favourite artists: Sam and Marc. Imagine they collab 😳
Its so cool how you still can see Marcs style while copying Sam. The result is soooo coool ! Its neither of both!
Honestly looks better than Sam's art
@@tlotxofficial I'm curious to see how Sam will respond. Because we all know that he will eventually.
@@M1rFortunelets not do this please😞
I like how you did sam’s style, but I can still see small things, such as brush stroke technique and color, that symbolizes it still being you trying his style
Def would need a few more attempts to nail it hehe, also seeing his process 🕵️♂️
@@YTartschool oh it wasn’t a bad thing, I was saying that I like how there’s still a hint of you even if its recreating his style, like it still being your own because its your hand
Facinating. I never thought about throwing in a character of my own into a scene of an anime to see if it fits or not. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Something else you could do is just compare it to the character of the style if you dont know how to do that!
I did that constantly as a kid: inventing my own characters for imaginary sequels to shows like Dragonball and alike.
My 2 favorite artists Marc and Sam and now I’m treated with this amazing mix of the 2 best art styles. I am very happy right now 😊
How do i copy my artstyle though?
I always tried to keep my art somewhat more on the realistic side, trying to make my anatomy as proportional as possible. But the is when I lost my style, so I played around with the proportions and just stuck to how I liked it and art just got easier and much more fun. Don't constrict yourself by thinking too much how people will see your art. It's yours after all
One thing that immensely helped my general anatomy was tracing - I traced Kratos from God of War once, that's the only tracing I've ever done and it helped me create more realistic proportions
Now THIS is how you use tracing!
When i say that people call me stupid cause same i learnt from tracing same works with coloring art work to
@@GolgappaUwUpeople that call you stupid either don’t draw or don’t know enough about drawing
tracing is the best way to loosen up shape drawing, good job.
Whicj image of kratos! Ima try the same
You don't leave anything do you, even at this level you still take up on challenges that tries to question your art. You're a legend but more than that you're brave. Respect ❤️
I am trying to learn Shignori Soejimas art style (He’s the Persona 5 guy) and his art is INSANE. I am lucky that there are really old videos of just him drawing and painting. It is interesting to study other artists and how they draw! The only thing I’m struggling with is how the hell do they do lighting? It’s so strange. He likes to use black. A. Lot. Which is interesting. The games are in that black and red. Or black and yellow etc. I am thankful for your videos I always look forward to them!
Thats insane, im trying to as well!
he likes to implement comic/manga techniques to his rendering. If you are struggling with lighting then you need to paint more basic shapes alot in different angle of lights. Most important thing is that he put in a lot of hours to get to his level. A lot of hours. Like alot. In other words get your fundamentals right.
SAME !! I loveeee Persona 5
Traditional black and white high contrast comic/manga type of lighting; hard shadows. It transitions into black where a shadow would be otherwise it's just white.
Yeah it's ok to learn to copy as well to build a foundation. You just keep building off things until you make it your own style.
In another concept I know a husband and wife who made their own style and created a comic together. You could tell the wife learned from the husband as you watched their accounts.
Thanks for another lesson teacher. 😊❤
You do it subconsciously too. ive never purposely followed marcs tutorials but just from having seen them sometimes i'll draw a pose and it'll be similar to marcs. like i can see the influence
@@jaytopia2924 yeah like his muscle structure style is great for a 90s and early 2000s comic book muscle style for example. Like his style would be great for say a He-Man concept. Which isn't surprising because he mentioned how he grew up watching dragon ball. 😂 (that was goku as a kid that he showed in this video lol)
Yeah but also sometimes it's just kinda fun to see. I have seen a guy on youtube once who made a challenge to take a character from one work, and then draw that character in the artstyle of different cartoons or animes, just to see how that character would look in those different artstyles.
@@EskChan19 I agree! 👍 it can be super fun. I enjoy watching some videos of a professional artist parent redrawing his kids drawings cleanly. He's encouraging and just having a fun time doing so with his child. 😊
Famous comic artist Stjepan Sejic and his wife Linda , her style changed over the years to resemble her husbands but its still distinct on its own.
I really like this channel as it focuses on not only the art fundamentals but also specific topics that some artists talk or ask about so honestly Marc, thank you this type of videos are really appreciated 👍
Finding your artstyle is like a puzzle you have to complete, only that you're not given the pieces. You have to look for them.
I loved this Vid Marc, Loved it.
been taking the one year drawing schedule and now my artist friend was really shock how from my drawing of stickman can now make a gesture drawing that I can match the poses he makes
!! Good job & keep up the good work!
Marc, I love this! listening to you analyze and break down styles is very interesting, i really hope you make more artists style break downs and analysis in the future!
Sam's art style is the painterly method and most of it has to do with how he uses his brush strokes + color + lighting. its a cool mix and one I think you represented masterfulyl
I've always wanted to learn caricatures but I focus on details and so they end up looking normal. :(
Love the Demon Slayer newbie, what was his name again... Marchihiro Burnetana! The Free Brush Hashira. Famed for his Digital Ink Breathing technique.
Hey Marc if you do another video that features a breakdown of another artists art I'd love to see you do WLOP's art. His stuff looks incredible but also very difficult to copy.
Agree
Always fun when 2 of your favorite channels collide. Marc and Sam are the only two art channels I watch basically. Another great video
How crazy when you're subbed to two different artists and then one highlights the other.
It's a bit of a collab. Amazing!
I have been following your tutorials for 4 years and my art improved tnks Marc 👍✌️
Gente do céu! que perfeição!! amei !!
Idk why I'm saying this here but here's something happened in my art journey...
I quit my college to pursue art as career, because I found myself improving and getting better day by day but when I dropped out and spent money for it (bough a iPad) and started drawing staying back home what happened was I started doing shitty works literally they all sucked. (?) I forgot how even to draw eye that I was kinda obsessed with from my beginning days..
Then I waited for a whole year and a half but nothing better was happening. And then because of force from my family and relatives I went back to college and it's been a year... You know what.. now I draw the bestest works.. 🙂 but i ain't have time. Now I kinda get what happened... My mind or my confidence or my concept about art all was messed up when I was staying in my room alone. And I was scared and panicked all day long, I wanted a quick all together improvement and make money...
When I went back to college(I'm a commerce major) i meet people I'm not seeing art as a burden or that I feel I want to force myself to improve.. I'm cool my mind is calm and I can feel a lot of things and it even changed how my art looks too...
If someone read this, please don't force yourself too much, don't always think art as something to make just money (maybe it will be a positive factor for someone) and keep yourself open to all and everything.. they really makes your art good.
I'm an engineer and started drawing just a few years ago during my studies. I loved it as it offered me a gateway to get out of all the down-to-earth topics you can get in engineering. I immediately told myself I wouldn't want to make it my work because of that. It will remain a hobby and it's fine this way.
Though I wish I would have the courage to share what I do online, but that's another topic lol
This is one of my favorite videos! It's easier to focus on the single details, when you'll compare to existing manga/anime/artist (at least, easier for me ADHD)
When I started drawing a couple of months ago I followed you and Sam at the same time and you are my go to channels if I want to see art videos. So it was really really interesting to see you draw like him. Since what I usually see from you is drawings like in 4:05.
I was in a hospital for a month so I couldn't draw and it took me awhile to motivate myself again. But I think/I hope I am back at learning again. Thank you so much for all your videos.
Two of my faves. Marc n Sam.
"I grew up with this guy", was a very funny moment of the video.😂😂
Alternate title: how to yassify your art
Am studing the League Of Legends Splash Arts Style! some day am gonna work for them in the future.. :'D
Hell yeah good luck m8 you got this
Man, I saw this art piece of yours recently, and i was surprised as i thought it is Sam's. And now to my surprise, i saw this vid actually explaining how to adapt art styles, really good content and demonstration. :>>
another thing that helped me a lot to more than "copy" was to do the classic observation skills, I observed for 31 fays in 10 or 15 mins their artworks and now if I can't draw exactly like them, I've gained important expierence to develop my artstyle to the point that some of friends even like a lot what I'm doing, a very helpful fundamental that I will be using for a long time
This video is awesome. I started doing this for comic artist styles on my channel.
Punching the air right now cause hw tf u just drew in sam style just like that omfg it looks so good Jesus! 😭
I developed my style by being bad at mimicking art styles I like (and being bad at photorealism). But I feel like I could be more accurate now
omfg, he got sam's style down to a T (btw, in terms of what he observed, but he had also the most accurate study i've seen so far), even down to guessing/noticing the brushes sam uses; as a fan of sam, nothing marc pointed out was surprising, it's just surprising to hear someone be so right.
i have been so grateful for all of your videos and teaching, thank you Marc you've guided me to being a happy learning artist ♥
6:34 - 9:26
i see you did a quick run through on have demon slayer do their heads but i have a request can you make the next video about be a full video showing how to copy/learn the demon slayer anatomy style, pretty please? i am a huge fan, and i would deeply appreciate it, i been trying to do it on my own but it has not been working out so i if you made that video it would be a huge help to me and other people.
This is a vid I've been waiting for from Marc😩
Well, you fooled me, because I thought "man, that thumbnail makes no sense." I actually thought it was one of Sam's videos.
Another cool lesson! Liked your mentioning some animes like DB, CG and of course its always so pleasing to see how artists interact/collab with others
This was awesome, could have watched this for an hour or more!
Now it's Sam's turn❤😂
Great video as always Marc! Probably a bit too late to request this, but I've still to see a video that explains the subtle differences between a hand/feet from a male and a female. I feel it's not discussed enough and these subtle differences make a huge difference from specific angles.
I admire this one artist's style sm it gives me life and I love loveee the way they shade and use colours I've been trying to get better at it too but to no avail
Seing Mark as a character in Demon Slayer made my artistic life complete.
Please recreate all of your brushes in clip studio paint. They react differently making it hard to shade properly.
I really want to get back into drawing, I used to draw quite a bit when I was high school. I think I’m going to start by copying art styles
I am learning so much on How to Improve as a artist.
Great video and fantastic points as usual. Also, nice to see something mentioning Sam, your videos and his are the two that I eagerly await each week. He has a lot of fun content.
when you follow SamDoesArts so you thought this was one of his videos and got jumpscared when you saw mark
My thought exactly 😂
Babe wake up another useful marc brunet video just dropped
Sam's artstyle is very hard to emulate. I tried it a few times but got so overwhelmed and didn't know where to start that I ended up giving up.
Just joined an art group in facebook and I notice a lot of starting artists hate on people using references. Claiming that it should always come from your imagination. SMH. They are missing out a lot of opportunity to learn faster.
Yeah it's a part of internet art culture that thankfully is slowly dying out... So completely backwards thinking though!!
Crazy how marc uploads videos about topics I'm struggling with 👀 does he read minds?
Two legends
okay, Marc Brunet drawing in sam's style wasn't in my 2023 bingo card
take my like and my comment already
its cool how you call the terminator the terminator, I always learned that super saturated band at the end of a shadow to be called SSS Subsurface Scattering, Im glad its the same thing essentially lol
Another great one. Any chance you can make a video drawing a character who is relatively thin but wears super baggy clothes and how to get achieve a nice look? An example would be Matsumoto Rangiku from bleach... Her ASSETS would also be great for the algorithm ;), thanks again, Marc.
id like to see your perspective on ruan jias style
Thank you for this, now i can copy yours >:)
Do it i dare you 😈
MarcdoesArt , amazing video. Packed with incredible tips
Omg this is so helpful😭
Ive been trying to figure out how to try and mimic two artists (96yottea and Dino) way of rendering.
I kinda already know i gotta practice color/shape studies and general fundumentals.
I honestly wasnt too sure how to like break down their process too well.
BXIHD Thank youuu!! 😭
The slowly popping up intro was hilarious, please do that every time
You really copy well like magic
Lessgooo, new class, my at block is effing off so this is gonna be fun!
Also that skeleton is looking fire at the intro tho like daaagn
When will you make an artbook sensei Marc!?
Brb gonna use this video to try your style
Watching a Marcs video on bed and resisting the temptation to draw*
Merci Marc, toujours un plaisir d'écouter tes cours
De rien
My first art teacher drawing in the style of my more recent second art teacher?? Wow 😊✨
the exact same goes for me xD
I really love Sakimichan's art style and i am definitely going to use this guide to incorporate some of here art style features into my drawings! Great class, Marc!
Sakimichan, yeah? Let me check her out real quick, aaaaand... Oh look, I'm following her already :D
(I'm following too many people on Artstation. I totally lost track by now.)
Marc now copy Guweiz or Wlop art :D
Guweiz is god 😮❤
The master artist strikes again
Two different art style in one awesome 😍❤❤
Generally thought this was one of sams videos when I clicked the thumbnail
Marc out here with the sharingan fr😂Love your tho content Marc!❤❤
Can't wait for Sam to steal your art style then Ethan Becker is gonna jump from the top ropes and steal both of your art styles while calling everyone a art baby
Copy your way towards your originality!
Always a good day when some of my favorite art TH-camrs crossover
Now copy WLOP!!!! ❤
the roast in the thumbnail 😭
hey Marc, thank you for sharing this to us. you are the best!
I am a pro at copying and I can say valid
2:54 Marc Brunet. Creating reasons for body dysmorphia in girls since ever. 😆🤣
Sam's next video - can you trust marc?
Amazing job!! Such an incredibly insightful and helpful video as always
Great video. Could you do a video on working ergonomics when using a pen display?
7:02 JIBUUN WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
marc casually demonstrating his godliness in art
this makes everyone. ALL THE YT ARTISTS
you took power AKA the blood devil from csm as an example, she is my favorite girl😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Teachers who talks about anime..i never gets bored
I loved the Demon Slayer bit as it's an artstyle I've been trying to copy for a while now with decent success.
This is amazing dude !
just in time lmao, I just got to the part of the course where i need to study 5 artist drawings.
that's fucking amazing Marc. holy shit
Marc Sensei has spoken 👏
Thanks, Mark!
Really love your content! A friend of mine suggested you since I had a few drawing issues I had to work out! Had a question for you tho, do you ever do like “artist analyse”? I remember you were analyzing an artist’s work to try to copy it, but this artist barely posts any concept art and when he does it’s like SUPER small (plus he never does a live drawing or show a Timelapse, of which I would love to see) 😅 His name is DaisukeIzuka and he’s the artist that made me wanna start drawing (particularly his “Chaos Breaker Dragon” and “Oksizz Deletor”)
9:14 this is such a good challenge!! How cool!
9:39 ive been eyeing your art program for a while. I cant get the complete program but which module would be the best to learn the skills applied in this video?? I can follow reference pretty well but changing into something new and inspiring is something i struggle with. I want to be excited to draw something not just copy whats there.
