This has transcended the term "creamy". A whole new genre of "marbly" keyboards has just been created. This keyboard is fit for the gods. This is a masterpiece.
He is referring to the plate he is using in the keyboard, you will find that people will recommend certain plate materials for certain switches and also for certain sound profiles. The best is dependent on what you want. Aluminum offers a hard surface which works best for linear switches as the keyboard doesn't flex when one presses on the key, making the travel feel smoother. Aluminum is also known to create a brighter sound - think a louder ping or higher pitch switch sound. This higher pitch sound is more pronounced in tactile & clicky switches. Brass offers the same benefit that aluminum does for linear switches, however, does make switches sound deeper and more on the low-end. You will find that tactile/clicky switches will sound more full and solid with a brass plate, maintaining some metallic qualities and feel. Polycarbonate has some nice benefits to it. As a plastic, it offers some flex, so tactile/clicky switches feel a bit more tactile and responsive as the upstroke returns to base after a press. Linear switches still feel good, but the press can have a little bit of give. It isn't too noticeable while typing at speed, but is something you slowly become aware of. Also, being plastic, it insulates and absorbs vibrations, so you get a softer thock and more refined switch sound. Combine it with hollow keycaps and whatever switch you choose, you can create a great sounding board. Summary - Aluminum = keeps switches grounded, higher pitch sound. Brass = similar effects to the previous, but makes the sound full. Polycarbonate = generates thock and adds flex for feel. Hope this helps

That time was worth it, no question. This keyboard is amazing and I just wanted to thank you for taking the insane amount of time, money, and dedication it takes to put out this kind of content and make all your keyboards sound like you poured your heart and soul into them. Thank you Lil Shoosh, this community loves and appreciates you!
No keyboard will ever compare to the amazing sound of this masterpiece, I disgust at the sound of my own keyboard after hearing the sound what I thought to be heaven.
Really good keyboard! Probably my favourite out there! I got inspiration from this keyboard and i built my first ever custom keyboard. The difference is that i used a different barebone keyboard (Gamakay LK 67), and black and white pbt keycaps. It's definetly not the best, but im really happy that i was able to make it happen. Thank you so much!
I was avoiding subscribing to too many keyboard channels because I'm broke and can't get too far into the hobby right now, but you earned it with this one.
I like this keyboard. Thanks for posting the components - I’ve just forwarded them to a local keyboard shop and asked them to assemble a few of these for my family in different colors. Very nice.
This is as satisfying as popping bubble wraps; or muted, steady raindrops on rooftops; like a gentle purr from a contented cat; or how I'd imagine soap bubbles bursting to sound like, amplified.
THIS is C R E A M Y. Soooo many other videos I've watched and see trying to find a build for a creamy keyboard and all of them still have a VERY clicky/"thocky" sound mostly without any of that dampened softness. THIS is perfect. Thank you!!!
I come back to watch this video on a regular basis because I have not found another keyboard video yet to match it. Such a good sounding keyboard great work👍
the quality of this video is so damn insane. I feel so proud to see you come this far. The keyboard sounds so fricking good, literal heaven to my ears.
This video inspired me to finally get into the hobby a few months ago. I've got a box of cerakey on my desk now, and I'm going to keep them there until I'm confident that I've learned enough to put them to proper use in my own crowning jewel someday. Thank you for the inspiration, and for the beautiful sounds!
Congratulations, friend. Thanks for bringing us all on the journey with you. May your days be brightened as with all things. The end of one road gives way to another adventure. You have found rest and thank you for enriching our lives as well.
Having now owned and used cerakeys for close to a year, I can truly say I'm never going back to plastic keycaps. The feeling of the ceramic alone makes my heart soar. (And they really do stay cool to the touch!)
Now that is what you truly call “end game” I can only imagine how much all of this cost. I won the most recent Kohaku raffle and I cannot wait to start building my version of end game. Amazing build brotha
Never mind the keyboard, i need that freaking mario mushroom. Jokes aside the keyboard sounded really good, I really want to build a creamy keyboard, Well Done Shoosh
Dude, your keyboard is wonderful, congratulations, the sound is incredible, super nice to listen to and follow the typing, I currently have an attack shark k96, it also came with its own switches and a super pleasant sound but I chose to change the switches of the same and lubricates them, currently I use the keyboard with brown Gateron switches and it has served me very well too, the sound still remained somehow pleasant which made me very happy, congratulations on the video, your channel is incredible, a Big hug from your friend from Brazil.
you don’t understand how much this made me want to get back into the world of keyboards.. i was in it briefly 10 years ago… got a keyboard, came out of it… fell back in 4 years ago… decided it was too much work to learn everything… but this has changed my mind. one day, this will be my hobby. i will devote everything i can to making myself and endgame keyboard this good. until then… see you next time

Oh my gosh. A keyboard isn’t supposed to sound THAT good. It sound like 2 majang tiles together. Thank you for giving me the blessing to hear that wonderful sound 😜😜😜
This looks and sounds absolutely incredible, man. I was a bit skeptical of ceramic keycaps before this, thinking they were gimmicky. But this really made me a believer! Definitely want to get those in the future for myself. :D
Not just the foam, the keycaps really do makes a difference. I own a set of crazed cerakey and they feels and sounds amazing. However, there are few flaws with them, like not all of them are exactly the same some of the stems are thighter than other or that some keys are slightly tilted.
The keys themselves are nice sounding, it's pleasant of course, if not a little underwhelming. But the spacebar... That subtle tink compared to the heft of the tocks on the letter keys, and it happening in sequence so regularly after the letter key presses... motto bella, mwuah, chef's kiss. So supremely satisfying as a complete typing package. I can't even imagine how good it would be all together, keeping in mind the tactile typing experience along with the auditory experience. Us viewers only get the latter unfortunately, but even that is enough to be oh, oh so satisfying. Great build.
Keyboard TH-cam is something I get recommended every few months and it feels like getting teleported to an alternate universe where keyboards are what people just talk about regularly like new movies or something
