  • You asked for it & you got it! Tana's new IOS Mobile App is here 🚀
    And it's pretty special. After using it for the last few weeks I honestly couldn't imagine my Tana workflows without it... and that's coming from me a girl who sits 90% of her day in front of a computer.
    In this video, I want to show you three different ways I'm using the mobile app to elevate my workflows even as a desk-bound worker.
    👉 Download the app: apps.apple.com/app/tana-captu...
    ================================
    Timestamps:
    00:00 Introduction
    01:35 How To Download The App
    02:36 Finding Your captured nodes
    06:54 Saving moments from your day

    11:56 Transcribing & Summarising voice notes
    ================================
    ✨The Transcribe & Summarise AI Prompt✨
    Copy this prompt into your own AI command to transcribe & summarise your audio notes.
    I am going to give you a transcription of my unstructured thoughts.
    You are going to clean up my thoughts and summarise them into the key points.
    When writing the summary do not use the words 'The Speaker' instead speak in first person as if I was writing a summary of my own thoughts. Output the summary in short easy to scan paragraphs.
    Then you are going to pull out any action items I talk about and list them on one per line and add the tag #task
    Every Action should start with a doing word from the following list:
    ✍️ Write
    🧠 Brainstorm
    🚧 Build
    📝 Plan
    💬 Message
    💬 Reply
    🗓️ Schedule
    📹 Film
    📞 Call
    🤓 Review
    💌 Send
    🚀 Publish
    🔄 Update
    ⚙️ Setup
    🛠️ Design
    👷‍♂️ Fix
    Do
    You must find the most appropriate word from the above list that corresponds with the task.
    You should output the summary under one heading called "Summary" and the action items under a separate heading below called "Actions"
    Transcription:
    ${sys:context}

    I absolutely love how you automated your voice note transcribe-and-summarise workflow! And especially the pre-sorting of tasks with emojis, genius!! I'm going to adapt this immediately.

      Yes 🙌 how good is it. AI really can do almost anything we want!

    Very clear explanation of how to get the best out of Tana mobile. I have tried it and as it stands without the helpful command enhancements it works well with really good voice recognition. I didn't continue with it because my hang up-up is with Tana's 'bullet only' output and needing to edit out all those bullets to get clean text. Perhaps you could give us a workflow for overcoming this!

      I get it! It's so frustrating. Tana just made an update a couple of weeks ago so that when you copy things out of Tana there are now no bullets!

    Good guide! The Inbox is now on the top right-hand side of the main interface, at least on mine after today's update.

    This Transcribe and Summarise workflow is life-changing for me! Thanks so much for your generosity and help getting it set up via Tana Slack Ev. It's not only a fantastic workflow but I feel it's helping me learn what Tana can do too so hopefully it will help me moving forward too! Amazing!

    Ev - Great video, as always. Have you figured out a way to use iOS shortcuts/Siri with Tana Capture?

    • @EvChapman
      @EvChapman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet. I don’t believe you can use it with shortcuts yet. Can’t wait for this though!

    I followed your tutorial to get the AI Transcript and Summary - I get an error, though, when I try and test with my own audio (Promptbench carries out the task fine as a test). The error I got was: A command node can only contain commands, or Node filter/Node context fields () Any idea what might be causing this?
    Edit: I discovered that it was due to an extra line on the command prompt - solution delete and it works perfectly. Awesome tool, Ngā mihi!

      Yep… I ran into that problem a couple of times too!

      I'm having the same problem. I managed to fix a hidden character between the emoji and 'Fix,' but I'm still not able to find the extra line. Can you help me out and tell me where it is?
      Found it. It was at the very end of the command node

    Hi! Where can I find a guide to set commands and buttons? Thanks, Luca

    • @EvChapman
      @EvChapman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Luca, if you click on the help button at the top of your Tana window you’ll find all the help docs. Go to Tana For Builders & you’ll find it in there

    I have tried to replicate "exactly" your "Transcribe and Summarize" button to process audio input. I have made the tag audio-note with the two fields: Transcript and Summary. I have build a Tana Command with the same two commands that you have. Transcribe audio with a Target node field identified as Transciprt. Then the Ask AI command with its parameters of Temperature (OpenAI); Promptbench context node; Prompt; and Target node with field Summary. When the Transcribe and Summarize button is invoked, the transcript and summary are generated as expected, but they ARE NOT placed in their respective fields in audio-note. They are just listed below that. My set up replicates yours to the best that my observation can detect. Perhaps Tana has made a change since you recorded your video and now (5 days in Tana is the equivalent of an epoch!) there is some additional step I need to incorporate that I am not aware of. Any advice?

      Hi Kenneth! I'm sorry I missed your comment earlier. If you're still having trouble, feel free to send me a DM in Slack with a screenshot & I can see if we can figure it out.
