It's amazing to see this do so well, thank you so much! For clarification I don't hate movement shooters. I actually think they are so damn good that by comparison any shooter outside the genre suck for me. I didn't think the title would read as I hated them until months after it released. Oops.
I just love all the commenters posting backhanded comments to shit on you while not even watching the video lmao. Movement shooters also kind of just ruined any outlook i have towards an fps shooter that doesn't have a slidehop megaboost wallrun dashjump hook combo or some shit.
Don't blame you on not learning strafe-jumping. Took me about to hours to finally learn it and get good enough to complete the expert movement course on quake live. But it does make the games even more fun to play
Yeah, I've decided to probably learn how to do it when I decide to revisit quake for its own video. Especially if it makes the already fun game better.
Skill issue, but in actuality i think your problem is that you're playing them on controller, I think a mouse and keyboard will improve your experience playing movement shooters a lot more
I don’t know about that the only difference between controller and keyboard and mouse on titanfall 2 is that controller doesn’t have the 0.5 second lurch that K&M players have so that means they can’t pull off crap like this th-cam.com/video/OqzJejnznns/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bMEjZ3eUkqZsUfCJ but they can do this without frag boosting th-cam.com/video/iS6QKAdny8U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FjLsoqRJQVbhVkFo
My only complaint is that this is yet another movement shooter/AFPS breakdown that doesn't mention Unreal. You don't hit the top-speeds of Quake's B-hopping but instead you are just always at a consistently high speed. Plus the dodging puts more emphasis on movement tech in fights instead of just using it to find or flee them. I know, I know, I'm just a UT fanboy and all but ever since Epic decided to murder the franchise that made them a household name I'm just desperate for any mention of it. They're some of my favourite games, important to the history of games, and I just don't want them forgotten.
Nice vid, as a personal essay or an opinon As a complain, it's pointless since most fps are boots on the ground or with limited and occasional movement tech, the way your solution is as simple as not play movement fps.
Super cool yo I want to get into movement shooters however as a kid I was so much into cod and such so i never really got into mechanics like that. Is there a good starting point multiplayer wise that i can get into?
Multiplayer movement shooters are a tad harder to find especially ones there are, good. But Titanfall 2 would be your best bet. The only other ones I can think of would be doom eternal, splitgate, and halo 5. Advanced warfare could be a good sample platter though
play ultrakill it isn't easy, it's faster than usain bolt on crack, and it will kick your ass until you git gud. however, it is stylish as hell and you can shoot coins and punch your bullets faster than they come out of your gun. 10/10 best buy of my life.
What a shame, you couldn't attempt Bunnyhopping and Air Acceleration for the first time. Yeah, that's how you review things. Come, now... Just grab a third-party source port and use it off your toaster machine and try. It's not like we're gonna ask you to Power Bunny, in Quake, which is leagues beyond any beginner's comprehension.
Honestly, probably should've had a bigger segment for it rather than a brief mention. I just really like that image of soldier rocket jumping so I used it, but there is a lot more I could've said on it.

Sounds like a skill issue. But fair enough I suppose we all like different things.
The low view and subscriber count surprised me, considering the quality of this video!
Hope your channel gains some traction!
Thank you! This video seems to be picking up steam which I'm pleasantly surprised by.
Good video! Reminds me of videos made by FUNKe. Except he actually likes movement shooters

console ruined the FPS genre for me
playing a pc fps game with a controller might be on of the dumbest thing to do, pc games are made to be played on mk not on pad

My dude... Ultrakill... it is titanfall 2 x doom eternal, + 1 South American country worth of cocaine, and then you are the ball park, parking lot
Woah you only have 40 subs???? Dude this is criminal theres like literally 0 way you're not gonna eventually blow up

Fr movement is just too addicting. tho regular fps is a good break if u get tired of playing too much speed.
OMG someone that knows Virtual-on !!! That’s amazing

Animated video essay on movement shooters without a Weezer reference? Wtf
May Funke have mercy on me.
Entertaining video, nice editing, you've got a sub from me.

Too many flaws. Stopped watching.
