From what i recall, eric knudsen had nothing to do with the movie script, he gave the film rights to sony then they gave it to screen gems which in turn gave us that awful 2018 slenderman movie, and that's pretty much it, he wasn't that involved with the project the same way he wasn't that involved with slender: the arrival.
Holy shit, you’re right. For some reason certain places credit him as a writer but others don’t. I should’ve looked more into it to avoid perpetuating that narrative.
i think it's pretty clear jcthehyena namedropped all those assets from other video games so when somebody made a sonic.exe fangame they'd know exactly which music and sound effects to use
That's a fair point, but I still think it muddied the whole thing. Especially he makes up other aspects for the story like hill's theme and the theme for the eggman level. (I don't remember it's name)
As a godzilla NES creepypasta fan, I can agree that the girlfriend shit at the end was terrible and stained the whole story. There has been a very likable fan theory that the dead girlfriend at the end that saved the protagonist was actually a creature similar to red, but had the same limitations, it simply took the shape of the protagonist's dead girlfriend so the protagonist could trust it
Just discovered your channel, you are CRIMINALLY underrated. I watched the whole thing, thinking "huh I wonder why I never heard of this guy they seem like one of those big professional ones" and then scrolled down to see 700 views and 90 subscribers. Good job on the video, looking forward to seeing more.
amazing video! i really like the visuals in the video, as well as the editing. i am very surprised at the low view-count and a low number of subscribers you possess!
Jeff the killer wasn’t so much deleted from the creepypasta wiki because it was bad but because it was really popular and people made a billion clones and spin offs of it and they didn’t want to deal with them anymore so they deleted the og story to set an example, same with sonic.exe
Your taste and experience in literature is advanced enough to know if something is bad or not but not so advanced to be able to tell the difference between a good work and a medicore work.
That's something I went back and forth with, but I eventually lost the files due to my USB drive corrupting so I had to leave it. I had a version planned without the VHS voice but couldn't do it.
@@ProdigitalNG LOL that happens. I recently reread the original smile.jpg creepypasta and it really is a product of the young internet. How the author references bbs boards and usenet and websites that were popular back then, when the internet felt like a small little community. How the entity is supposedly named “smile.dog” as if there were any reason for a demon to have a file extension, and how its urges victims to “spread the word”… it’s very clearly what happened when a young person on the young internet asked “what if there were an *evil meme*?” And i respect it for that. It’s one of the creepypastas that scared me when i was a kid, because i would just stare at the image. but somehow staring at it now, and rereading the story, takes me back to a time when the world was nicer and my fears were all just photoshopped. The story’s writing, however, is kinda smile dot dogshit 6/10

I think that Buried Alive guy would be a fantastic easter egg to actually put in the game.
The Gameboy Advance SP Blue edition dubbed by OneyPlays one is my favorite

Maybe it's brain rot, after slogging through enough filth anything slightly decent seems like god's gift.
