It will get a lot of flack, but after al those iX, i7 and X7 and 1 series, I think it looks better than expected. The nose isn't complete hamster-teeth and there isn't a two part headlight. Inside is nice, and I just miss the 8 presets-buttons and some other physical buttons instead of another touchcontrol thingy! If leather is out, maybe velour could make a comeback for a more silent and dampened effect in the car.

Being an owner of the current gen BMW 530e and I was curious about the new model but I really don’t like it 😔. The front doesn’t look as aggressive and the profile looks too soft compared to all previous model. I can definitely see the similarity to the i7 in regards to the rear of it.

I’m very keen to see what Audi, Lexus and Genesis come out with in terms of sport sedans. 7 used to be my favorite mainstream sedan, but with the new 7 being a monstrosity, I prefer the 340 or this new 5.

Deisgn wise Audi is too understated, BMW is too flamboyant and merc takes middle ground (may be too cautious not to alienate merc lovers) in terms of design. When it comes to performance, all these 3 brands have regular and performance models. However when it comes to reliability, there is no such word for reliability for german cars these days. All 3 brands have their fair share of issues and recalls.

Obviously the camera is to track the face when auto-steering is activated. if you look anywhere other than the road it beeps at you & sometimes deactivates. the selfie is just a feature.

In true BMW fashion, the exterior is a step backwards. The bonnet is too high, making the front wheels look small and the headlights are too high. This gives it a fwd 2 series look.
You just got to love that wonderful dashboard, or should I call it a fancy kitchen top with a long I pad on top of it like an afterthought. So much progress:)

this definitely doesn't look worse than the G30, I like this. And the interior is lightyears ahead of the G30.
