I saw Sick of it All and Agnostic Front in Auckland NZ a few years back. Went with my best mate who is from Cambridge in England. We had such an awesome time but got dragged into the mosh pit and suddenly realised our age as we got totally smashed.. still a big fan of John Joseph.. he's been solid in his convictions through all these sheenagans of the last couple of years. Pleased to hear you mention these things. Age of Quarrel is my all time favourite hardcore record. Great to lift weights to.
Sick of it All and Agnostic Front must have been one hell of a gig to witness. Would have loved to have seen that.
You are right about John Joseph and Age of Quarrel. Love reading his books and have a few of them on audio as well so I can listen on long runs. Age of Quarrel is a masterpiece and I have really started to dig some of their other albums as well. Alpha/Omega has really grown on me a lot.
Nice one, yeah it was fantastic, in a small venue too (since closed) so it had a great vibe. I've not read any of John's books but am familiar with his life story from listening to him and watching various clips and podcasts/social media of him. He doesn't mince words! Seems a straight up no-nonsense guy and solid, I respect him a lot.

Can't wait for the video on podcasts, I only listen to some audio drama podcasts, like Levar Burton reads, strata, relic radio, would be awesome to find new ones. Could you also maybe do a video about your workout routines or where you get the ideas for them? I mean weightlifting and stuff.
I should have the podcast episode out in a couple of weeks and I will start putting together a work out video as well.
i grew up in boston ma. Hardcore has helped me survive since 1986...been to thousands of shows and i think its great your into it..here is a few albums you may like

Lying here riddled with Covid, that beautiful blue sky has cheered me up. Any content on your Yoga and stretching routines would be most appreciated. It would be nice to see how it’s utilised by an ordinary guy in the street and not a Lycra clad ‘stretch Armstrong’, if indeed you remember that toy.

idea for a FUTURE video. video of the day you do your first full marathon from when you wake up to the drive there the atmosphere when you arrive and the finish line etc. just a vlog of the whole day. not the run itself unless you could without it effecting you

Hardcore completely passed me by too maybe i should visit the genre, what album to you recommend to start with?
Some albums to start with would be;
Cro-Mags - Age of Quarrel
Minor Threat - First Two Seven Inches (one album)
Poison Idea - Feel the Darkness (Machine Head and Pantera covered some of these songs)
Sick Of It All - Scratch the Surface (thought all their albums area amazing)
Madball - Demonstrating My Style (thought all their albums area amazing)
There are a load of great ones to check out and I am sure I have missed some classics but those are a good start

I should have clarified. I've been listening to hardcore all my life on and off but only recently gotten the bug for it. Been listening to Rollins since I was 16. Had a huge impact on my life. I also LOVE Minor Threat.
@@BenjaminLeeWright my bro got Ian McKaye to sign MInorthreat album years ago. yeah, been Into all that stuff a while myself. as my music taste evolved got into death metal, grind, progressive metal etc. Ive too much stuff i need to relisten too. SIck of it all where huge for me aswell back in the day. I love stuff like the smiths aswell.
