Fantastic to hear from you again! I was watching your sobriety videos back, just this past week. I just reached the 2.5 years mark in sobriety myself and was feeling a bit low...both in continuing my sober journey and in life in general (the pandemic has really knocked my lust for life...I need to get it back!). It is one of those where I never want to drink again (and I won't succumb) because I hate it but I have just lost a bit of focus in my life goals. I can't wait to see what you've been up to! Peace, brother!

@@BenjaminLeeWright Was looking at your earlier video about writing. I write user guides for a living, but always wanted to write creatively. I can heartily recommend video courses by Dean Wesley Smith. You'll find his website easy enough. He's a professional writer in 'pulp' fiction - he writes all the Star Trek and Men in Black official novels among many others - he's written about 150 books I think, under several names. 'Writing into the dark' and 'writign with depth' will teach you how the pros produce so much - basically, the first 200 words set the scene visually for the reader, then you write, including all 5 senses, through the emotion of the character - once you learn that it opens up writign through the subconscious - as we did as children... He also uses Lester Dent's plot formula - a simple guide to keep conflict going - that method is used in all TV fiction nowdays - but he began it.

Awesome to have you back brother....congrats on 7 years of sobriety. Also awesome with the half marathons. Great to do a recovery run just after a strong effort in the half...great on the new PR. The strength training would set you up for trail running. You guys in the UK seem to have races everywhere and I think you would love them. The typical trail runner is a really chilled dude. You could also get the bug and start doing crazy distances!! (As for doing the marathon it's a different mindset so don't worry about thinking it's like running to 1/2 marathon and then the idea of doing it again) Running is meditative for me....those longer runs is when the magic happens between the ears! So happy for you! Defo do a video on fasting. (Oh I fired up Strava again and I'm "Mookie Taylor" on there...it seems okay, I'm big time anti social media so I was a little reluctant)

Unfortunately, I only subscribe to TH-cam. You mentioned at the end of todays vid how we can forget how we effect those around us. I have often told members of my family we should never forget we each are historically significant. Therefore, we are all obligated to take care of ourselves in each aspect of our lives, knowing that living a Purpose-driven life is a blessing, not a burden. We do effect others and those effects will be remembered long after we are gone. I thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!

YES!!! Been too long since you did a video man. Have been wondering how you been but im not one to pester lol. but very glad to see you happy and healthier.
Long may it continue. Congratulations on the fantastic mile stones of the marathons etc... truly inspirational man.
And I completely feel the same with disliking social-media. Im beyond done with it and hardly ever on it anymore.
Over the pandemic I used the time (and depression tbh*) to change my lifestyle, Totally changing eating habits etc... and in 11months I had lost 10 stone (140lbs*). purely just from being healthy. Depression did have a big part of it tbh but now it's under control and im feeling better then ever.
But tbh going from being 21 stone (ish*) to 11 stone was a BIG shock to the system and it still doesnt feel real tbh when i see myself. if you get what i mean.
Just hope i dont relapse, big fear of mine now tbh ha!
