- All of us have things in life that we want to achieve but life often gets in the way. It is therefore worth removing as many obstacles in your way as possible to ensure that you get done the things that need doing.
Set up a creative/workspace is what I'm basically trying to say.

I made a space in our storage where I can rebuild some motorcycle engines, do pinstripings and scale models. It's my safehaven.

Watching this for the second time, you're funny..@4:47 , I kept rewinding to rewatch it ..hysterical ! Also, the random "fucking look at the camera" rants kept me laughing too! I think you working in your new space would be awesome, I just got back into fixing up my small music studio too thanks to you and im really looking forward to finishing it up, keep the new format/videos coming, thx Ben!

I am in the process of converting a old canning house into my guitar shop/studio. It has been quite a enjoyable project so far. Will be nice to have everything in one spot. Great setup you have there!

Have you ever had issues with food? Like as a way to dampen feelings like anxiety or just to avoid feelings? Also, recommend Deftones Ohms for a listen 👍
I have had issues with food in the past but pretty much have that under control now. I eat cleanly for 6 days of the week and then have a cheat day on Sunday so I have something to llok forward to.
I am loving the new Deftones album.
Hi Ben, I'm really enjoying the vids, the honesty and humour is refreshing. I was planning to make some videos myself. Could you please reccomend any software for ediring footage? I'm mainly using my phone and a go pro. Thanks. Matt.
I use Final Cut Pro 10 but it costs around £300 and is for Mac only. You can get DaVinci Resolve for free and that is fantastic but is quite a learning curve.
Great video. Under lockdown, I rediscovered a hobby I enjoyed as a teenager back in the 90s: painting fantasy miniatures! I've bought myself a desk and an office chair for the spare room (sadly, I use it for working from home as well) and sit and paint and listen to metal for hours. Very relaxing and therapeutic. My painting is beginning to look vaguely presentable. Also considering trying my hand at watercolours.

I think the podcast would be great. Go for it! The vids are great too! Going to be entering the shed and roofspace over the next few weeks to get all my shit together into one place. Love music, have all the tools (like yourself) but I shelved it all for family stuff...which is totally fine, but yeah I got to carve out a little space for the creativity and who knows, maybe the kids will get involved rather than just suffering my music! Stay strong Ben! 👍
I would highly reccomend getting your home studio sorted out. It has been a breath of fresh air for me and I am loving it!
So true, I set up a little ‘permanent’ art studio so I don’t have to get everything out / set up each time. I’m getting so much more work created purely because of the convenience. That and the fact I quit drinking 15 months ago! Nice video mate 👍🎨
Nice one JR. It makes a huge difference having everything ready to go whenever you need it. I am really enjoying creating music again.

Yeah a podcast, is a brilliant idea bud. Maybe you can talk ,about conditions such as . Post acute Withdrawal Syndrome and, dry drunk syndrome cos . I think why I've been struggling, though the 15 months. Off my soberity, is PAWS which I suffered from and . Still Could be , think they'd. Be good topics , to throw into the podcast?
Thanks Thomas. I am afraid that I don't know about any of that type of thing though to be honest with you. I am just somebody who quit alcohol and has never looked back. I know that is not very helpful but that is how it went for me.
@@BenjaminLeeWright no problem Ben , don't be worrying about it mate. It's just my circumstances, is different to yourself. The way I'm a recovering alcoholic, there two things . Can happen to, lot of people in recovery. But its all good bud , and looking forward to. Whatever you have lined up next 👍

Nice studio setup , you've inspired me to work on mine more, i run Reaper on my pc, I also have Roland R12 interface and my next purchase will be the drum program on your monitor , "real drumz"? Anyway I like this new sit down format, just wish it was longer...cheers!

It is EZDrummer that I use for the drums and it is amazing.

I have my own space of thinking about being in a productive mind when I make music. Sometimes I listen to music by myself and the music do the talking which is a great exercise of inspiration to think about what are you going to make or write from who you're into a sound of music from a band. I do like to keep some stuff for nostalgia reasons however when I make videos I do think about what I want to do and keep the passion going, but not to force it to do it for the sake of it. I don't make videos a lot so much in a week but I take up my space and time to do a video when I think the time is right and feel like it.

Yes! 100% do a podcast and I've been getting more musically creative in this pandemic too.
I've always been creative but since March I've written 4 full length albums and 2 side EPs. Its mentally exhausting but kept me somewhat sane ha.
Would be awesome to collab with you someday too if you'd ever be up for that or whatever 🙂🤘🏼
