ye, I was always on the border of liking Manos. it's clearly meant to be bizzare and "badly" paced to create a sense of discomfort and confusion to give the feeling of stumbling into something incomprehensible but it's just too amateurish. like, for instance, I'm pretty sure when all the wives are fighting, they are meant to be killing each other, before coming back to life after a while and continuing fighting - seeing as the first woman lays still for a few minutes before getting back up, but it's just poorly directed and acted so it doesn't come across (or maybe I'm wrong and the woman was just lay down for no reason). If not for the bad acting, dubbing, editing and basically everything it could have been a very cool movie. I think the imagery of the hand is actually really well done - especially the hand shaped bonfire.
