Not one person said a word in 30 years, but all of a sudden jordan is inflating his stats from 30 years ago. The lebron media is kicking into overdrive...

That’s because LeBron’s career is near the end and once it is over, so is his popularity.

This is what I noticed. This generation is gullible.
By the time Jordan retired the narrative was; he did the most, in the shortest time, in a tougher league than anyone else. No inflated stats, stat padding, best defender of his position (if not best ever), best midrange game, and the world branding him the greatest of all time.
All of a sudden this narrative goes away after 30 years to prop up another player and his generation's ego.

Yeah the difference between MJ and Kobe was the athleticism. MJ was a stronger, faster, quicker, higher jumping, bigger handed than and at least equally coordinated as Kobe. That basically accounts for the 5pp and 3-4% FG% differences between the two. Skill wise Kobe has an argument as the better of the two, but MJ’s athleticism was something unique that hasn’t been replicated. People talk about how fast LeBron is and was, but MJ was actually slightly faster end to end than Lebron although ofc not as big or strong

Wilt have the edge? Man, give Sheed his potent Portland weed back cause you're blazin' trails with the ganja. Wilt's mental was too vaginal to be in GOAT convo. The guy was dubbed Gentle Giant for a reason. So many of his teammates said that if Wilt was mean as Joe Greene on 4th and inches, that they would have won more chips. His disposition was soft as Monistat creams for yeast infections. He'd be a beast in today's trophy participation load management generation. The physical specimen detested low-block contact. He was a finesse player. 70% of his shots were fadeaways. He had the body of a center but psyche of a point-guard. And that's why he led the league in assists one year. He was petrified of 6'7 245 lbs. Wes Unseld. He thought that bullet played too physical. Wilt's career scoring average was 30 ppg but it went down quick as Linda Lovelace to 18 ppg vs Unseld.
On the biggest stage (NBA Finals and NCAA chip game) Chamberlain would wilt. Just like it did against Unseld, his scoring average descended from 30 ppg to 18 ppg in NBA Finals. And in 1957 NCAA chip game he scored 22 pts. when he averaged 30 ppg for the season. Black Jesus aka His Airness had the Manson maniacal mental of killers in serial. He was bloodthirsty as Ted Bundy in a Tallahassee sorority. When lights were their brightest (NBA Finals) he was Terry Nichols with fuse and lighter. Spots were blown up. He averaged 30 ppg for his career but in the Finals it went up to 33.6 ppg. Wilt's two best teammates (West/Baylor) view MJ as the GOAT. I think their opinions are just a little bit more meaningful than yours.

They changed the rules though didn’t they in the middle of Wilt’s career? Also Wilt could bench press more than Shaq and got goaltending calls because refs couldn’t believe what they just saw…and couldn’t believe anyone could get up that high. Imagine a Shaq who is stronger than Shaq but who can jump like Lebron…that was Wilt. I blame coaching and scheme for many of the losses, not Wilt. I’m not saying Wilt is the Goat, I’m saying he doesn’t get enough credit for his superiority on the basketball court

I can appreciate the argument for wilt as a goat. I don’t agree though. Take this into account, Jordan is the only player to have an MVP finals, MVP, scoring champion, NBA Champion and all defense selection for four times. He matched Wilt scoring proclivities in 1986, breaking 3000 points in one season from a shooting guard position which prior was unheard of. And he outperformed Wilt in the playoffs in every aspect outside of rebounds and blocks.

You can always spot the guys that know ball and those that pretend watching highlight videos for knowledge. Not once was rule changes mention. Making MJ 's stats even more impressive going against defense that play defense, plus hand checking and no defensive 3 seconds that made todays league the smallest it has been in over 40 years and you would have to go back to the 60's to find smaller centers and PF and what is the one thing you can't teach in basketball that is right size.... Why we lose overseas in a rule set more like early 2000's....the US team in FIBA and even today get killed on the block. This isn't the best basketball that can be played in todays and why overseas is catching us in skill.... and why Joe Dumars VP for the NBA and Adam Silver said they messed up with defense and defensive rule changes are coming. Next if your eyes don't tell you MJ is better on both sides of the ball and in the clutch on both sides of the ball then look at stats and analytics. That should paint the picture that your eyes can't tell you
