Nick's videos are fantastic. Do you think he should have put the names of the players so casual fans would know who is talking? I think most casual fans wouldn't know many of these greats plus many of them look much different now than when they played.
In 1987-88 MJ won MVP, defensive player of the year, scoring title, slam dunk championship, and the all star game MVP in the same season. You will never ever see that again.

One of the thing no one talk about MJ was his ability to predict players hands, which is why when he shoots he moves the ball around, he start to go one way and then all of sudden he changes at the last minutes to prevent blocks, steal or contact. You don’t see that nowadays in anyone else

There will never be another MJ for me, and that’s coming from a BK born Knicks fan. He was the most dominant player in the best era of the game to this point, and twenty plus years after his prime, he still widely considered the GOAT. Appreciate this work, it’s as detailed as Jordan was effective. Good looks!
Same here. From North Jersey and I was 12 when Jordan had that baseline dunk on Oak and Ewing. Eastern Conference playoffs with Jordan, Reggie, Mourning and Spike, with the black sneakers and Starks and Mason. It was really like nothing I've seen since. Hasn't really even come close. As die hard a Knicks fan though, I always had on Jordans and to this day love watching him play. It was a different time this generation can't comprehend. You didn't know where or what he was doing. He seldom gave interviews, and it was just such a spectacle when Jordan took the court. Enormous expectations every single night, and he somehow always exceeding them. I remember how happy I was when he came back in 95 ... Between Jordan and Mike Tyson, there hasn't been anything as electric and as captivating as when those two preformed.
@@mannyperez7415 anyone can play like lebron😂 anyone can shoot like lebron and dunk like lebron.. The way Jordan plays is something no one can't play like💯
It's hard for guys who didn't see him live or play against him to understand. Mike was so quick, so sudden, so explosive. When he made his move, he was gone... gone by you and in the air before you could mentally register what he just did. He was unreal, and everyone he played against knew it.
I REMEMBER SHEDDING SOME TEARS WHEN HE PLAYED HIS LAST GAME BECAUSE I KNEW I WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER TALENT LIKE HIM AND I USED TO HATE HIM BECAUSE HE ALWAYS KILLS MY KNICKS BUT WHEN HE RETIRED I KNEW THAT THIS GUY IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME
I felt the very same way all three times he played his last game/retired…shed many tears…and it was so great when he got that never ending standing ovation his last game as a Wizard…he’ll forever be the GOAT, I don’t care who comes along, we’re never going to see that again..
The Impact Jordan has had on basketball and the sports world will be everlasting. He was so good at basketball that you can mention his name to anyone in the world, and alsmost everyone knows who he is. NO ONE played Basketball like Jordan NO ONE!!! Once in a lifetime athlete that will never be duplicated. Forever the GOAT!
Having grown up in Chicago and having the opportunity to watch the masterful play of MJ yet resonates in my mind. He changed not only the game of basketball 🏀 but the culture of the city! I shed tears 😭 in 98 when he hit that game winner against Utah! What an absolutely incredible career he had! Truly a legend and God given gift to all who were fortunate enough to witness him in his prime! ❤
Yeah he was a God gifted man for sure. We gre up in Chicago too, my brother was a gifted artist, he worked on the movie with him Space Jam in Cali, they made a dome for him to practice in, every day during filming. I thought it would easily be the biggest movie ever, when I was pretty young. The movie really didn't get popular until recently, and they had a moment where, Jordan was like hey... you're gifted too !. And they talked about doing what they are good at, since they are just kids. As if he needed a bigger ego ?. He knows he had a big gift, they both did. My brother had a brick from the old Chicago stadium, his friend was working construction demo there, he showed it to Jordan. I think Jordan wanted it, he was like wow how did you get that ?. I would have given it to him. We used to take a cab to see him play there, the old stadium.
Yes, I watched every game and went to the old Chicago stadium and the United Center. This guy would do something or some great move, and I would practice that move he(Michael) did that night. He is definitely the GOAT.
This video made me smile and admire these players for being honest. I’m 42 years old and watched basketball from the 80s to now. When Mike retired, I cried and thought I’ll never get that to see another player/athlete like that ever again in my lifetime. You can literally sense his presence on the TV screen. Nobody else compares.
I am 41, from otherside of the world. I(and tens of thousands kids in my country) started to play basketball just because of Michael Jordan. He is the Alexander the Great or Ghengis Khan of the Basketball. If he orders us to die, we die.

But, I knew no matter how much I hated that man. I was watching greatness. He was always team first, league first man. Michael could have scored 50 points a game. But, he wanted to win. He'd settle for 30. While taking out your best players on defense. Nobody is like Mike. But, Kobe was a good mirror image.

MJ has been out of the game for 20+ years and he's still being talked about. He brought tons of people into the sport who otherwise wouldn't have cared if it wasn't him that was playing. His shoes took an indie company from the brink and shot it into the stars. He took what was a really bad team at the time and turned them into a winning team, largely by himself. Shit, the man retired twice and has suffered some significant losses in his career and people still love him, and all of this came from how much he loved the game and his insane ambition to be the best. LeBron can stat pad himself into greatness, but even in his 20 years of playing, he has yet to have the kind of effect on people that MJ had and still does.
What made Michael Jordan so great is that he gave 100% each and every single game I grew up watching the Celtics in the Lakers winning championships then the Pistons and they all had good players but the difference between then and now is that superstars in in the NBA did not want to play with each other they wanted to beat each other and that's a difference between old generation basketball teams and the new generation teams nowadays. We have some great talent in the NBA but want to make a super team instead of trying to create a great team and I know I'm going on and on but come on now Lakers and I don't want to call nobody out could you imagine if Magic Larry ,Jordan, and Ewing Barkley would have been in the same team and no disrespecting to my man Shaq love you big diesel but you weren't an NBA player then and that's what the NBA's turned into but don't like the Golden State Warriors but hats off to them cuz they're done it with three players from the beginning Curry Thompson and Green it's almost like The Three Amigos of Jordan Pippen and Rodman and by no means am I comparing Golden State to the Bulls cuz I'm going to old school and Bulls all the way
I cry watching Jordan vids because the impact he and the 94-97 Bulls had on my childhood was unmatched…so many incredible memories! The world needs more 90s basketball!
This. I was about to say the same thing. From the way the game was played, the rules changes made during his time and immediately following, to the globalization of the sport with the Dream Team, to the evolution of the shoes and branding, and to the overall marketing of the game. Michael made it possible for guys like Chandler Parsons to get 4-year $94 million dollar deals. No other player has ever had as much impact on the game, or ever will, as he has.
Magic and Larry have been graciously giving Jordan his props ever since they started playing against him. They were still at the peak or near-peak of their careers. They were the biggest stars of the NBA when he came along. Larry was a straight talker. He was clearly in awe. Jordan has always given them respect even when it was clear he had surpassed them. That is why the chemistry of the Dream team was great. There was mutual respect among great talents and competitors. First time I saw Wilt talking about MJ. Great videos, thanks!
It was so sad that Larry injured his back while laying concrete in his driveway, due to that his career was cut short by a few years. One thing for sure is a healthy Larry in the early 90's the Celtics would have had some of the greatest clashes with the Bulls.
@@cheezezlayer493 that's the true difference between LeBron's 🐐 tlk and MJs. Mjs peers called him the goat while they were getting kicked. LeBron's peers only say it bc of how he is just the pure face of league

MJ wasn't only a once in a lifetime talent, his mentality for greatness and winning was and still is unmatched. I work with some younger kids and I tell them all of the time to at least watch some of his games in full not even his highlights. They always come back with a different perspective, I watched MJ towards the end of his career but my dad taped all of his playoff games and to this day I watch them in awe, he was so electric.
the best video about a comparison that never is gonna end, every time a new star starts to shine the theme will come up to the table. But all we saw MJ play, we know he was - is- ever will be the greatest basketball player ever. And the best part of this is that MJ doesn't even care about calling him the GOAT, he will always say "team effort and team work". The GOAT will never call himself out.
I ALWAYS stayed home on a weekend night (rather than party) if the Bulls were on TV. MJ was pure energy/excitement/highlight/inspirational/gifted/talented. etc.
Mann...MJ was so great, Moses Malone didn't even stutter lol. And Jerry West's take has never changed after 30 years. Especially now, players should give MJ at least 10% of their earnings like Wilt said.
@@shotguner4258 I'm sure EVERYBODY got crossed or something equivalent at some point in their career...even your favorite player. It still doesn't take away from how great MJ was.
There is nothing as special in sports as MJ. Ever. There is arguably nothing in the world as enigmatic as Jordan. His career is a moment in time. He is something completely different. He has reached heights no one has ever reached. Not Tiger. Not Federer. Not Brady. Not even close. And that speaks to the essence of the game of basketball. He was able to do so much so well. An all around great player. I hope something as special as him comes along again in my lifetime.
I was born in 85' and watched every Jordan game I could from about age 5 until he retired. There has never been an athlete I have watched since that gives you the feelings of watching Jordan. He never disappointed. I knew back then how special a player he was and to cherish the moments.
Me too. I was born in 83. I remember the late 80s and all through the 90s on how great Michael was. The early 2000s was also great but Jordan was already old by that time when he played with the wizards.
Not only the goat but the entertainment value he brought, IMHO, was/is unmatched. Whether you were a Bulls fan or not, you watched the Bulls when they played.
I was one of the 90's teen boy who played basketball because of MJ. And when i played in the games i felt like i was MJ. I knew i could never be MJ but that moment it gave me the strength to play against any type of players without fears. MJ gave the new meaning to basketball and he changed it from the day he played the games.
My parents took me to a Mavs vs Bulls game in Dallas at reunion arena so that's how long ago this was lol!! We got there we early early so we could watch warm ups and we sat up above the pigeons! Mike came out in his blue UNC shorts with his white t-shirt tucked in and I started hyperventilating and was so excited and amazed!! I couldn't believe I was in the same arena as the GOAT!!!
I remembered how when MJ started playing for the Chicago Bulls fans started coming to games...how he changed the game of basketball started from pulling in Bulls fans...more and more came to see him play and it really showed how he changed the game of Basketball starting from there....love his game and he will always be my GOAT.
To watch the greatest of greats like Bill Russel, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Julius Erving, Larry Bird, Earvin Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and many others praise Michael Jordan gave my goosebumps more goosebumps! Plainly it explains how many in the NBA revere MJ as the G.O.A.T. Many of us during that era fell deeply in love with the game because of our admiration for Michael. Thank you MJ23 for inspiring my youths back in our day to keep loving and playing the game.
This by far was the greatest video so far Nick. I really enjoyed hearing about MJ from the greatest players that ever played the Game. Moses Malone? The Big O? Wilt? Doctor J? Man it does not get any better than that. Bill Russell said MJ is one of the few players he would pay to see play. Game! Set! Match!
As a kid who grew up on the complete other side of the world, very few who didn't come from there would recognize the impact Michael Jordan had not just for the NBA or for its players, but for basketball entirely. Basketball is now played worldwide, NBA is a global league, Sneakers are a huge part of the players' brand, and the world owes it to Michael and his dedication to being the most dominant player of his time, maybe ever.
Let's give JACK his JACKET! It was a Showout and a Showoff with MJ, Scotty Pippin, Steve Kerr, and Horace Grant. I lost interest in the game when Jordan left.
The level of respect this man has is insane definitely the goat on both sides the determination to win the logo the number 23 the bald head the shoes the tongue hanging out will never be touched I grew up in the 90s and everyone person that touched a basketball wanted to be like Mike !!!!!!
When magic mentioned how he'd never seen anyone cut off a passing Lane as quick as MJ is just one of the many intangibles people don't even realize about him.
Many of the people that consider MJ the GOAT were not fans of his when he was playing, and I think this is what a lot of the younger generation doesn't understand. Many of us were fans of different teams and players. I am a Rockets fan, and Hakeem Olajuwon is my favorite player of all time, but I recognize Michael Jordan as the greatest of all time as well.
yeah... Michael Jordan is my GOAT. In the Philippines via Satt games, a teen ager in me, can't be bothered while watching the Greatest of all time, such a beautiful experience.. I may not be able to see him in person, but im good, I watched him played the best plays i have ever seen. The Goat...!
MJ was so exciting to watch. I'll never forget everybody couldn't wait to get home when the NBA finals were going down to see MJ and the bulls test it up. Those were the days.
From NC, only thing, as a fan, watching him from teen to adult, is thank you brother, for all the great memories that you gave us all" in NC also throughout the world, thanks" Cause there is no other like this man, that have played this game, and one more thing, you give back and helping people more that you get credit for my brother. You are the Greatest that ever pick up a ball man !
Jordan was the ultimate athletic specimen at 6’6, long arms, and big hands. Add a determination to win that’s only reveled by Kobe Bryant and that’s why he’s the best the game has probably ever seen.
I've never played pro ball. Cant even imagine playing against MJ. So I take all the stories and opinions of other greats about that experience. And plus me watching the NBA since the late 80s. Michael Jordan is simply the best player I ever saw play. His game got people involved in watching the NBA. it was exciting and amazing during that 90s run. And this fan truly believes. If MJ didnt retire for almost 2 years. The Bulls would of won all 8 NBA titles during that stretch. It was a honor to watch him and the Bulls. I'm glad I was around during that time. His Airness is the Goat and it's not close for this fan. Awesome job on this video. I appreciated it.
I've say all the time I never I my life seen a player Like Michael Jordan it's unfair to compare LeBron or kobe Bryant to Michael Jordan Jordan is the blueprint the WILL power displays is unmatched he plays hard every single game even when he's having bad shooting night he always do two to three moves you never seen done before he was must watch TV he was unreal that's my opinion on Michael J Jordan
I use to watch the bulls play when I was a kid on the TV set at my Dad’s shop on weekends just in awe of what he did. Just grateful got to witness the GOAT play during his reign.
JORDAN WAS SO SPECIAL IN BB. IT IS BECAUSE OF HIS SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES. HIS REALLY TALENTED. NOT VERY TALL BUT HE COULD SWING AROUND TO SHOOT IN THE BALL WOW NO ONE CAN DO THAT, THATS WHY I WATCHED BB BECAUSE HE BROUGHT THE GAME TO A LIVE ACTION AND WAS ENJOYABLE TO WATCH. HE WAS SO TALENTED AND YOU COULD HAVE A FEELING OF GLADNESS WHEN YOU WATCH HIM PLAYING BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONLY ONE TO CHANGE THE GAME LOVE TO WATCH MJ ON THE COURT BECAUSE HE MADE MY DAY SO GREAT. Homie love ya work bruv u killing it. For a young dude I’m surprised u haven’t been bluffed by Lebron it’s refreshing to see you covering MJ under “new” light.
This is easily one of the best videos regarding MJ and the complimentary comments from Isiah Thomas was truly shocking to hear him give Jordan credit. That was video I had nevr seen before as a long time Jordan fan and internet user.
How many people have been named the best offensive player and the best defensive player in the same year? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think MJ is the only one to do that.
Was Hakeem the best offensive player that year. I would say Shaq was probably a better offensive player that year and it was only his second year but David Robinson and Hakeem were definitely right there. That boy Shaq shot 60% from the field for 29ppg that’s crazy.
MJ (1988), Hakeem (1994), though Hakeem really only won it since MJ had retired as well as Giannis (2020). Only 5 guys have won DPOY and MVP in their careers, MJ, Hakeem, Garnett, GIannis and The Admiral.
Jordan remains at the top. His skill, mentality, accolades, championships, awards. He has like 3-4 full careers worth of accomplishments. All you need to do is listen to his peers and how they talk about him.
Grew up watching replays of his game. I wasn't into basketball that time, but as a kid I couldn't ignore his show. He will always be a show when he's out there. I used to dream of imitating the dunks, the shimmy, the fade, the hang time, the tongue out, the attitude, the footwork and everything, but all I can do back then was shoot the ball very near the rim 😂. As much as Steph was the one who really dragged me into loving the game further, same goes with Kobe and Shaq, but still Jordan is the starting point. He will always be the GOAT.
I was born soon after Jordan was drafted so I grew up watching prime MJ. Every kid wanted to be like Mike. I was born and raised in Portland so we had Drexler who was also a beast, but MJ was still MJ so you couldn’t not root for and praise him. The best and most influential player of all time. The GOAT.
This video made me remember that he scored 40 plus points for 4 games in a row in an nba finals back when the 3pt is not a priority and defense was more aggressive and referees would hand out techs to a player who made his opponent bleed. Damn.
Michael Jordan, 3 STRAIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS.......RETIRES, ALMOST 2 YEARS, COMES BACK, THROTTLES, THE NBA FOR ANOTHER 3 STRAIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS............ONLY SHAQ AND KOBE , WON 1, 3 peat since Jordan..........and they talk about how good some of the players are today.......they are Entertaining, but the TRUTH SPEAKS FOR ITSELF..................!!!!!!!!

Magic Johnson explanation of MJ23 at 15:38 is exactly why people believe MJ23 is the GOAT, it was not only the numbers he put up but also that he was 6'6 yet be the most flashy and dominant player the NBA has ever seen.
Thanks! Nick for sharing this phenomenal!!!!!! video. This is a excellent!! tribute to Michael Jordan. There will never ever be another player like Michael Jordan to play the game of basketball.
Nick, I have an idea for the channel ... What about taking 2 players, like say Shaq and Hakeem, and making a video making a point on why one is better than the other? Or take teams like the Bulls and Warriors, or even make your own dream teams and put em up against each other. Might be something out there but haven't seen anything consistent like that. I think it'd be dope. Killing it lately!!
I always wondered if players thought it was weird being in his presence. Like, they were all always the best most likely growing up in high school, college, and then it’s like “oh shit, I’m on the same court as MJ! This is surreal! He’s real, and he’s even better than I imagined he’d be”
The biggest validation for Jordan being the GOAT comes from the Logo himself....Jerry West played with Wilt, against Russell and watched all of the greats after till now and him saying "I've never seen anybody else do the thing he does" seals the deal as MJ being the best ever.
Another great video. I’ve watched all of them up til now. I love your videos shows exactly why Jordan is the goat, 🐐and there will never be another player that surpasses him as the goat
MJ is beautiful to watch. It is not just about statistics. It's more abut the magnificence of his presence. There was never an awkward moment when MJ plays in the court. Even when he falls or misses a shot. He is a very graceful athlete; a ballerina in the court. MJ is a gazelle. While the other guy moves like a chimp, err I mean champ.
Nick, you are killing it! Good stuff! Perfect editing, no extra fluff or talking, just straight to the point with clips. Love it.
Nick's videos are fantastic. Do you think he should have put the names of the players so casual fans would know who is talking? I think most casual fans wouldn't know many of these greats plus many of them look much different now than when they played.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed.

It's hard for guys who didn't see him live or play against him to understand. Mike was so quick, so sudden, so explosive. When he made his move, he was gone... gone by you and in the air before you could mentally register what he just did. He was unreal, and everyone he played against knew it.
Amen 😂😂 couldn't of said it better. 😂😂😂 So true even his opponents were in awe 😮😱🤣🤣🤣
I REMEMBER SHEDDING SOME TEARS WHEN HE PLAYED HIS LAST GAME BECAUSE I KNEW I WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER TALENT LIKE HIM AND I USED TO HATE HIM BECAUSE HE ALWAYS KILLS MY KNICKS BUT WHEN HE RETIRED I KNEW THAT THIS GUY IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME
Well then I bet you laughed hysterically when Reggie retired
He liked playing in the Garden. I am sure there was some small bit of hope that he would come play for the Knicks

@@lyndellhall3457 try imagining lebron playing in the piston's badboy era..
And LeBron killed the NBA. Stopped watching when he went to LA. Will no longer watch. At least until he's gone. He has ruined the NBA. Michael Jordan killed my team growing up.
@@TheSupernaturalWolf41 You're right he killed the NBA by smashing Kareem's record, passing Jordan years ago & exceeded all the expectations expected from a kid that was Iconic before stepping into the professional era of his career & as much as LeBron's haters hate him they'll continue to watch greatness until he leaves!

That last video. The Impact of changing the game. Exactly why MJ is the GOAT
Steph Curry made an impact with the 3s 😀
Not that....players before have changed the game. Jordan as a player simply covered all the bases. Tangibly and intangibly...no one like him

But all we saw MJ play, we know he was - is- ever will be the greatest basketball player ever. I really miss watching this man play and how much fun the 90s was.
This is why mj is the goat. Other greats can be compared to him but MJ will always be the GOAT
When I watch these type of clips, I start to cry and reminisce of the best times in my life, thank you MJ.

I still play without fears because of him, and Im too old to be in the NBA, too short.

How many people have been named the best offensive player and the best defensive player in the same year? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think MJ is the only one to do that.
Not correcting but Hakeem was mvp, dpoy and finals mvp in 1 year!
Was Hakeem the best offensive player that year. I would say Shaq was probably a better offensive player that year and it was only his second year but David Robinson and Hakeem were definitely right there. That boy Shaq shot 60% from the field for 29ppg that’s crazy.
Giannis also.
MJ (1988), Hakeem (1994), though Hakeem really only won it since MJ had retired as well as Giannis (2020). Only 5 guys have won DPOY and MVP in their careers, MJ, Hakeem, Garnett, GIannis and The Admiral.

Kobe, MyGOAT = 2x;
JWest, TheLogo = 1x.
Damn.
Who was guarding MJ again? A 33 year old Danny Ainge?

Thanks! Nick for sharing this phenomenal!!!!!! video. This is a excellent!! tribute to Michael Jordan. There will never ever be another player like Michael Jordan to play the game of basketball.
Jordan looked different when he played. If you ever saw him play, You shall have no other GOATS before him.
MJ played every game like it’s his last to please those who paid tickets to see him play.
That alone makes him the GOAT
The Jordan/LeBron “debate” never made since to me. I don’t even have LeBron over Kobe.
Nobody:
Tim ‘The Ultimate Savage’ Duncan: I was never a Bulls fan. I was never a Jordan fan. He just didn’t vibe with me.
Unless you were around in the 90s you have no idea how big he was. Was the most famous person in the world
I always wondered if players thought it was weird being in his presence.

Appreciate that
MJ is beautiful to watch.
