As great as Jordan was during the regular season he was even better in the playoffs and even better in the biggest moments in the playoffs. Jordan was special in a way no other athlete has been ive witnessed in my lifetime.
On number 56 is when Jordan dunked on Stockton and someone said why don’t you do that on someone your own size so he dunked on a 7 footer and said was he big enough for you. They where back to back plays.
Lol, Jordan's crossover was highly underrated. The reason it was hard to notice his crossover is because it was based on pure quickness instead of craftiness
I have bever heard anybody talking highly about Jordan when it comes to crossovers, it just wasn't a part of his forte, as you said, he was very quick with the jab and the first step, but crossing people wasn't something he did. I wouldn't put him anywhere near AI or Kyrie in that regard, it wouldn't make sense, but I'm 100% sure there's a Lebron fan somewhere who thinks he has top 5 handles ever. Michael wasn't perfect at all, he never thought he was, that's why he kept improving and evolving.
@Al.j.Vasquez I agree, but there's a ton of footage showing Jordan stepping one way and coming back across his defenders face, which is technically a cross-over. It was just effortless. No wiggling and jiggling
I lived in Chicago, and I watched most of the Bull's games during the 90's. Jordan was a joy to watch play. After he retired, I mostly stopped watching basketball, because it just wasn't the same without Jordan. The reason he shrugged after that 3-pointer was because someone had criticized him the day before, saying he was a terrible 3-point shooter, so he proceeded to shoot 6 3-point shots before half time.
Same dude. I honestly thought that's it, now I've seen everything in basketball. I've literally just witnessed the career of the greatest basketball player that ever lived. After 1998, I was done, finished. What could possibly top this. I didn't even bother following his Wizard years, I'd seen enough. I felt I would never see anything like it again. It will never be the same, and I still feel the same to this day, 26 years after he retired from Chicago. The greatest ever, hands down.🏀
The 56# one you rewinded. The dunk on a 7 footer. There's a story behind it. He dunked on Stockton just before that play. But a fan shouted at MJ "he's short! Pick on someone your own size"...So Jordan came back and dunked on that 7 footer guy (can't remember his name!). Than as showed on the clip, Jordan looked at the fan saying "is he big enough?" Karl Malone story.
For those who saw him play (like me) - his most defining of his many incredible qualities, he had an unbreakable spirit. He broke everyone else. He's the greatest player of all time.
He never broke Bird..6 playoff years..with the Bulls getting swept 2 straight years..in those 6 years..The Bulls and MJ and Scottie..never got past Boston..he could score 63…and The Bulls still lost by 3..he never beat Bird..a fact..Bird was also MVP for 3 straight years and added Coach of the Year..Rookie of the Year and Executive of the Year..( only 3 players in history have 3 straight MVP’s..Russell, Chamberlain, and Bird)
@@carlchiles1047 Agree - young Jordan could never break Bird. I'll agree with you on that. But, fully mature Jordan broke everyone else during that time.
As you said at one point in the video, basketball will never be this entertaining again! That statement is true bc players like Jordan, Bird and Magic are one of a kinds, but also bc basketball is now nothing but 3-pointers! B-O-R-I-N-G!!!
I was in middle school when Jordan started playing. I owned the original first 4 generation of his sneakers and played basketball wearing them. My fav all time was the third gen. I just loved the look.
#3. His game 1 game buzzer beater in the 97 finals is my favorite game winner from him. The calmess, smooth dribbling, PICTURE PERFECT form , crowd reaction and the iconic First pump celebration after hitting the shot. The replays especially are one of the coldest replays of all time
Chuck Daly the head coach of the infamous Bad Boy Pistons once said in an interview, that MJs dream NBA season would be 82 games either tied or the Bulls one point behind, with only five seconds to go and him having to take the game winning shot.
Wanted to clarify the play where you said he had been partying all night. During the finals, he ordered takeout from a local restaurant. They said "several" people made this delivery. He didn't have the "flu"...his food had actually been poisoned. He still "balled out"
His first step was to quick for everybody. There was no way defending him, in his prime. You can't stay in the right distance to him, because there is none. To close, he will drive right by you. A step back and he will just shoot his jumper, that you can't challenge. I loved watching Mike. He was insane.
Story Book Ending?? The knock all the critics said when MJ first came into the league was that he didn't have a jump shot. Well MJ did that pose to say f'u to his doubters, which they did to him his whole career and he took pleasure in proving them wrong. Great analysis!!!❤
Yes when Jordan was young, once he was in the air it was too late to stop him-Jordan Rules. MJ countered that by getting stronger and then he was a force of will.
Back in the ‘90s, the Knicks hosted a VIP weekend, flying to Chicago from NYC and the next night, going to the United Center for the game. I went with a friend and had a blast. Jordan was introduced the place lit up with flashbulbs, the place was hot! The group of us took abuse going into the venue, Bulls fans were relentless, but guess what? The Knicks won that night! We went back to our bus heads held high and singin! Lol
A pronounced lateral movement during a spectacular cross-over requires the player to shift their weight and pivot their feet, which can momentarily slow their forward momentum. Also, Jordan could start in one direction without needing any cross-over. In general, his thinking was towards moving forward, but he could also make twists. If he was going to dribble, he preferred to do it at speed, moving forward.
14:41 Scottie Pippen has ONLY himself and his agent to blame for taking the deal he took (which is supposedly the source of their beef). EVERYONE with common sense around him told him to wait and sign a new contract the next year. He didn't listen, and his excuse was that he couldn't risk an injury and loss of income to his family. Michael Jordan had NOTHING to do with Scottie's contract. Pippen is acting like a child these days and refuses to take responsibility for his own decisions.

That was Cliff Robertson, not Glenn
Dana White sells holy S#÷T moments. Jordan made them every game
I highly doubt we see anyone this rediculously amazing ever egain. Alot of people literally thought he wasn't human no joke. Just imagine what he would do to this pathetic excuse for a league these days!
Now can you react to Shawn Kemps 50 plays!
#57 is way too underrated
Larry Byrd lives about an hour from me. And although he's the dude who proved white men CAN jump, i have to agree with you. Michael Jordan is the G.O.A.T!
Greg POSTERTAG!
Theres a lot of player than Labron in his era.i will never co sider him as the best.
Please react to Vince Carters dunk highlights!
Lmao Polo .. bro that was Cliff Robinson not “Big Dog” Glenn Robinson
And he had passed away.
Shawn Kemp was Vince Carter before Carter.
Cliff Robinson.
