Im a nube and I bought this exact welder at H.F. for $350.00 years ago. I tried it with stick welding briefly at 120v and was very discouraged. Hopefully following this video to a tee will make me a happy camper. Huge Thanks!!

i want to be there to help you so bad.....when you adjust the argon flow at the regulator you must press the foot pedal and see where it is at then adjust accordingly while its depressed.....remember your tungsten will be live doing this so dont let it touch anything while you are doing that......adjust it by the cup size you are using x2 so if you are using a number 6 cup size it should be around 12-15 at the most while the foot pedal is depressed......turn your bottle around so you can see what it says would be my suggestion, it looks backwards in this video.....also remember the further away you hold the tungsten from the metal the hotter it will get.....i know you are new so try to keep it as close as possible consistently without dipping it into the weld puddle....if you dip it you should regrind it as it is contaminated now and that makes for a wandering arc, not so good harder to control it......also clean metal produces way way better results and an easier time of it, use a flap disc.....dont use brake cleaner to clean metal or you will die instantly breathing the fumes when you start an arc.....yeah a smaller filler rod would be better for the size tungsten you are using, im assuming 1/16th.... as you feed it into the front of the puddle you are actually cooling off the puddle and in essence having to use a hotter setting than needed with that larger than life filler rod, which just warps the metal more than expected or wanted......i hope this helps just a little and gets you going on the right track.....tig welding is very fun.....do some small tack welds on each end to help warp-age too maybe one in the middle too......this is my wifes account so dont get too excited......lol

couple more tips , use a dedicated stone for sharpening your toungestun, other metals frome your regular use stones can contaminate your weld, this is especially critical when welding aluminum, also dont use the side of the stone, use the face. you want the grinding scratches parallel with the tip this helps concentrate the arc

What best used on volts 120 or 220?

Do you still have this welder? Has it been reliable? The inverter welder seem to be temporary units at best. With almost all the brands except Miller being very unreliable?

I actually sold it. Not because it was bad, but because another company is sponsoring me, and has sent me several of their machines.

Yeswelder. I'm currently using their MP200. I haven't tried the tig function yet. It's a multi process machine.

I've never TIG welded before but I have watched some videos online about welding and clearly you need to adjust the specs on the end line for the rotary girder...joking. Thanks for the video, it was great!

......good going to even attempt tig welding......seems your gas is set too high? around 15 - 20 is best....also probably get a better regulator as i hear those are not accurate......gas gets expensive when you blow through a bottle real quick with a bad setup

I was thinking that to.... sounds like the wind is on when he’s welding.
