Excellent work, thank you for your test and review of the Arccaptain machine, which impressed and encouraged us a lot. I hope our welder helps your work. If you guys has any questions about the TIG200P, I will be here all the time.🙂
Great review. A review like this in the hands of a professional mean so much more than the reviews of random youtubers. Arccaptain was not on my radar till now. The portability of these machines is what I'm interested in. My current tig machine is a Miller 320A/BP which comes in between 800 and 900 lbs. My Miller Dialarc 250 amd Lincoln SP200 aren't exactly lightweights either. LOL I have a couple of Miller 130 migs that are kinda portable but their 10% duty cycle sucks.
Thanks for the video. I like that you tried to push the duty cycle. I'm hoping to buy the AC DC Tig 200 soon. I just got the Mig 200 to replace a broken 250a transformer mig. I punished the new 200 and never hit the duty cycle.
I have only welded 3 times in my life. I could never see through the mask well enough to do anything useful - lol. How do you see through it to grind? Your skills are obvious, even to an ignorant viewer like me. Thanks for sharing your craft.
Question. When truck mounting. Do you mount the welder on automotive motor mounts like number 2122 and 2123. To slightly reduce the bouncing.. if you are not aware of those. Ask at almost any parts store. One could use cab air bags or single bellows air bags to really cushion the ride for the welder
Just got a arccaptain MIG200 inverter Welder and I am curious why you need the TIG200 when you can use the MIG200 to tig weld with it. I think Its truly an Amazing machine. I have only done gasless mig and stick. From what I have seen I will need 2 types of gases 1 type for mig and another for tig is that right or can I get away with just one type. Could you let me know what gas you would use if you were me as I am only learning so its not a fulltime thing. Tks regards Andy Perth Australia
The MiG 200 is not capable of AC. That is where the tig 200 comes in. AC tig is used for aluminum. Run 100% argon for tig and 75% argon 25% co2 for MiG.
I thaught you would have to grind the welds a bit... I guess it is different with aluminium. Could you tell me why exactly? I am not questioning your approach, since I know you are one of the best welder on YT.
I know this is an out there question but could you do a video on operating costs and profit per year ofr your business. Very curious how much you pay for a facility.
30 CFH argon flow seems really high for that cup size. Do you always run that high for aluminum or was that just due to the large shop fan running at the same time you were welding so you had to up your gas flow?
I had a shop dog a while back, he learned to turn his head when I was welding, smart dog. I was welding near the barn one day and the horse didn't fare so well, he had a bad night, oops.
WHat are those dual pnuematic wheels you have on the blue tool cart in the back? I would love a set for my 5 drawer cart, i'm always hitting pebbles and stuff on the concrete and it's so jarring
I have actually witnessed what happens when two large truck batteries get shorted out by a spanner falling on the posts and it is not something anybody needs in their lives.
"...told the dog he was getting promoted to shop foreman and the physical exam at the vet is just company policy and it's not a cone of shame, it's his new weld flash protection PPE..."
Well nothing better than a real world trial on an actual job to test a machine out . Few to many just do little test pieces and comment on those. Sounds like a good exchange fir the money . Surprised the box was only welded fully on the outside . Not even any stitch welds on the inside looks like the guy who built it can't weld inside anything ..
You make it look way too easy. Have you thought of doing any "teaching" say at a tech school, etc.??? Your experience and skill need to be shared!!!!!!!! I would like to have seen the electrode and filler rod interaction. It looked like you were feeding rod from the side, the top, and the bottom,.....

The dark and mystical art of welding aluminum-sweet vid! Thanks for showing us your technique and a belly rub for the "shop dog"
I'm glad to see you can weld with both hands

I had never heard of them before this video. The price point makes this machine *VERY* attractive.
Thank you for sharing, i learn a lot, always a pleasure watch your project 👍👍👍👍
love your dogg !!!
the extra weld on the inside is a good thing i think..!! nice work. and the welder works good 2.. with your proffesional hand !!!

Good to hear shop dog buddy will make a full recovery 🐶. And the welding was good too. 🪄🔨🧰

Thanks for the review
Great that there’s a quality welder in those price points
Great video and review on the welder. Those trucks keep shaking themselves apart.
Poor. Doggie. Thanks for letting us know. He looks like a good boy. Dogs ad subscribers.
The indignity of the cone... Poor pupper.

I missed something back a few month when did you move to a bigger shop looks great good luck thanks for the review
Been here almost a year.
Awesome video as usual. You really should use a respirator. Take care 😊
Aluminum boat build would be Great. Big $$$ now days for aluminum im guessing
True craftsman
Nice repair

The helmet has a grind mode where you can see out of it.

I do not. It’s not necessary.
Are you using 4T or a foot peddle ? as always i enjoy your content
never mind i watch the end

I didn’t grind them because I wanted to test the cleaning action of the machine.
@@OFW Ah, ok, make sens...
That’s a price I can afford! Will look into one 🥂

I usually weld at 25 to 35 depending on the situation
I had a shop dog a while back, he learned to turn his head when I was welding, smart dog. I was welding near the barn one day and the horse didn't fare so well, he had a bad night, oops.
Very nice!
Morning coffees on!! here we go!! ;-)!!!
WHat are those dual pnuematic wheels you have on the blue tool cart in the back? I would love a set for my 5 drawer cart, i'm always hitting pebbles and stuff on the concrete and it's so jarring
Those wheels are actually from Harbor freight one of my guys, custom-made his caster mounts and put those on his toolbox
Heard a lot of people like the primeweld 325 tig welder. Curious how that compares.
Well if they send me one I will definitely do a review on it.
How do you like that hangcha forklift? Been seeing more of them here in the central valley curious to any issues with them...
It’s been really good. I would definitely buy another one.
You’re a bit of an artist, nice smooth wielding. What’s that big fan for? It’s huge!!
To keep the shop cool or for constant ventilation in the shop.
Do you run spool guns? I’m weak in the tights department. Mostly because I’m much more productive with a spool gun. So I don’t practice enough.
I do run spool guns. And soon push pull guns. I wanted to test out the new machine.
@@OFW push pull is the deal. I don’t glue enough aluminum to justify it.
👍👍
Another fire video
Bon Boulo 😆😆👍👍
I have actually witnessed what happens when two large truck batteries get shorted out by a spanner falling on the posts and it is not something anybody needs in their lives.
I’m surprised that the torch didn’t overheat on the long inside welds. Is it air cooled?
Yes. Air cooled
Have you tried out the Bad Dog Tools lifetime guarantee cutting/grinding disks?
I have not
Beleza 👍👍🇧🇷🇧🇷
Nice shop ! 💯
The dreaded cone of shame 😢
CEE uses a PAPR, I wish you would too
"...told the dog he was getting promoted to shop foreman and the physical exam at the vet is just company policy and it's not a cone of shame, it's his new weld flash protection PPE..."
👌🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
How do you have 220 Volts in america single phase? Dońt you have 110 Volts out of a standard socket?
Here in America we just take some wire nuts and put 2 standard plugs together and boom 220
Settings on the machine?
200 amps on AC maxed out the whole time
Looks nice ,clean .gud job
Aluminum welds will always crack with vibration.
Puppy looks hurt hope puppy will be OK
Weeeeeeee!!!!!!!
why does the dog have the cone of shame on. lol To funny. random drive by from the dog and he has the cone around his head. lol
I see the dog has a bandage on his leg. poor puppy
It was explained in the video. He got ran over
