I've been spinning Reel Big Fish 'Turn the Radio Off' Deluxe LP repress by Enjoy The Ride Records for the last couple of days and it has brought me so much joy. I also bought a repress of 'Slip' this year so, yeah, the 90s are alive and well at my house. 😂
Great list. And ALWAYS music I haven’t heard of; why I love this mad channel. And suggestions I can trust. Loving the latest Fake Names, btw. We need you over here in NZ, in some form. Keep the videos coming, man. Always just what I need at the end of the week.
Again an impressive list, thanks a lot for sharing! For me the most important reissue is the deutalbum from Jingo de Lunch from Berlin! If you haven't heard of Jingo yet, it's incredible Hardcore Punk from the 80es and totally worth checking out...
@@Dennisdeepcuts Awesome, I‘ve had Perpetuum Mobil for about 30 years only on CD and I‘m very happy that I was able to purchase the beautiful reissue on vinyl this year!
Thanks for great list! I've bought 278 records that came out this year (some more coming in) if you also count 7-inches, 12-inches, cassettes and cd's. / Format
My musical taste is likely too mainstream for you but i thought Meshuggah's Chaosphere remaster was really well done (and needed). My favorite "new new" release is easily The Zenith Passage album, Datalysium. Happy holidays!
Got the SS Decontrol last week. Stoked it got this kind of reissue treatment. Hoping more titles from the Xclaim! label get reissued. Quicksand was a massive influence for me as well. Just saw them on tour a few years ago with Stephen Brodsky filling in on guitar. Great show. I posted a few cuts on my channel. Will see if I can find the link. Peace.
First- a Happy Holiday to you and yours! Second, great episode- some of my favorites of all time are included. One that I'm not sure if it came out this year or last, but I really liked Heatmiser- the Music of Heatmiser. They get forgotten a bit, as Elliott's solo stuff got a lot more accolades, but they were really, really great.
@@Dennisdeepcuts Cool, because they are really a great set of songs. Would you change how you play them or SING them? (Being able to be yourself rather than a Bowie-like alias.)
Hell yeah. Crazy to think shape of punk to come is a year younger than me. Still blasting the Album zooming to work.

That's an insane amount of records. Congrats.
I think I ended up with 60+ albums.
List of the best albums of the year up on thursday! :)
@@Dennisdeepcuts Looking forward!

Still waiting for my copy to arrive!!! But Trust are doing a fantastic job.
And been in love with Quicksand since their first ep!!!
My fave old/new purchase was The Nefilim by Fields of Nephilim.. finally reissued on vinyl..... still amazing!!
Thank you Dennis for including the Quicksand book as your number one pick for best reissue of 2023!
Home Front (La Vida Es Un Mus) and Lathe of Heaven (Sacred Bones) LP's were good this year.
We’ll see if they make it on to the list in 2 weeks. 😀

I never thought to ask, but, do you play (allowed to play) the Samurai tracks you wrote during refused shows? Are they YOUR songs Legally?
Yeah. If we would like to we could.
