You’re walkthroughs of this game have really helped a lot. I went from being super frustrated with this game and pissed off to absolutely loving it. At first there is a lot to take it especially if your new to these type of games. Once you start learning stuff it’s such a great game. I’ll have to check out the Dark Souls games

That little girl quest nearly had me in tears when she said she loves us nearly much as her mum and Dad. Knowing what happens to her is soo sad. But im not crying you are! There was a fly dat flew in my eye! Leave me alone
The mystery door is the other side of the door on the Cleric Beast bridge. If you put coins down on the door and run all the way back to the bridge you will see them through the door.
After killing Papa Guac, once you get to the little girl(his daughter) Cowboy will mistakenly tell you to send her to the clinic. Do not. Give her the broach or better yet send her to the chapel. Love ya cowboy and everything you do! Just had to say this as it was why I couldn't get the ribbon my first run lol
for anyone having trouble on him, make sure to dodge toward him. especially in beast form. if you back up youre going to have a really bad time. once he hits beast, 3 molotovs and a couple swings will take him out quick. just keep close. i figured this out after 7 wipes.
I finished ds3 5 times and got into bloodborne just yesterday. Watching your first two bossfights I felt like I was gonna die so much times, but after absolutely destroying the beast and gascoigne first try I can say that this fights are much easier than they seem. Plus this game is being so amazing omg
Yeah the Cleric Beast and Father Gazza are really bloody easy. I beat them both first time and I'm _TERRIBLE_ at games. Compared to the other FromSoftware game I've played (Dark Souls, although I didn't get very far in it), this seems a lot easier at the beginning. I'm sure it'll get brutal eventually though. But yeah in Dark Souls you die like a dozen times on the first boss alone. That big obese demon thing is so much harder than the Cleric Beast and Father Gascoigne. But then I'm also playing Bloodborne every day and so I'm already much better at it than I was at Dark Souls. Once I beat Bloodborne I'm definitely gonna play DS1 again. I'll probably be much better at it now than I was when I tried it years ago.

Man, these videos have helped so much, by far the best walkthru I've seen so far. I went into this game completely blind, all I knew is that is was going to be hard. I was NOT prepared for what was coming. The first video was especially great, it very clearly showed me how to actually play the game, in an easy to understand, concise way. I didn't know about viscerals, parries, or any of the combat system at all before watching the first video, and I had already watched a few trying to figure the game out. Really explains and displays the mechanics of the game in a proper way. I just started playing a few days ago, and still haven't beat either of the first bosses, but I can at least get to them every time, and I now I know how the game works
So I just started playing through this game and I am realizing how much I have skipped over from just learning to play a souls game. I was watching through this because I got stuck, and found the part about the little girl. I went back to this area, not knowing anything about this quest. The moment she mentioned red broach, my stomach just dropped, as I remembered that I had found that same broach on a body and couldn't remember where. And her cries were the single most awful thing I have ever heard in this game. And it makes Father Gascione from a hunter gone bad, which I gathered, to now being something so heart breaking. I guess I am trying to say thanks for showing me these bits as I now know to pay closer attention, and also that there a pieces of this game that will rip your heart out
Having discovered this game yesterday and played it on my own, I ultimately came across my first boss and guess who that was? This damned Gascoigne. I got destroyed in seconds. I looked a bit around Reddit to find some tips, then came across your videos. I decided to follow your walkthrough and killed FG not just 10 minutes ago. 5th or 6th try. I must have forgotten some collectibles but now I’ll follow you. This is my first Soul game. I am such a newbie it’s terrifying yet enjoyable to learn new tricks and tips. You made me discover visceral kills, it changed my life and even successfully managed to use some against FG. I didn’t even know you could do that. So, thanks.

First time playing any of the Soulsborne games. Nine hours in and I just now got to the Central Ward. For some reason I don’t want to give up even though it’s a challenge compared to the games I normally play. Something about Bloodborne makes it hard to walk away from.
Everyone says it's the best cosmic horror game to come out of the last ten years, cosmic horror being one of my favorite themes in fiction, so I've been bashing my head against a wall repeatedly trying to get into it and failing. Finally feels like this guide gave me a foothold, and the world is SO much more interesting than other FromSoft games
With everything from the previous two videos, I actually managed to beat Gascoigne on my second try. Your walkthrough really helped build up the skill, especially with the suggestions for parry practice on the stone trolls. I didn't even end up using the music box more than once before he turned to the beast-form.
21:34 That door was intended to be a shortcut to Cleric Beast but it was cut from the game before release. If you run over to the balcony where the giant and skittering horror is you can see the bridge where you fight Cleric Beast. You can also see shining coins if you use those there too.
Yup. They cut it from the game to save on load times. Apparently, it would have caused a lot of extra load time every time you went near it. It was also cut to make it to where you have to fight Father Gascoigne.
Thank you! I’m a new souls player, and bloodborne is the first game I’m trying to beat, this series already has helped me get way further than I would have running around blindly on my own! I’m taking a little bit more time to farm echos in my campaign, and I’ve decided to use the Kirk hammer, for those of you who want to really just melt anything in central yharnam I’d recommend giving it a try, super good early weapon.

@@BarnyWaterg8 Yeah managed to get through it but wasn't really happy with my skill level by the end of it. I have moved on to Sekiro and it is by far the most addicting and satisfying game they have made imo.
Hey man I’m closing in on a 1,000 hours😂. I made 4 different PVP characters with different builds. Then a character on NG7 and a mule character that’s like lvl 350 so I can play with all the weapons. Co-op keeps me playing. Just started Bloodbourne myself! Halfway through DS1. I got cursed in the depths. Ofc lol!

How in THE WORLD did you fight this guy and he only shot you once?!?!?!?!?!? I fought him last night and while I did beat him, he shot me like 25 times. Also in his beast form he did this lunge attack that wasn’t in the video like 5 times in a row.
Same I barely beat him second time. I had a sliver of health left. Like it looked like I had no health I got lucky and dumped my pistola in his back for the win. His combos seemed never ending tho.
I beat him first try. Just use some of the stats on vitality strength and skill if u use military veteran and saw. And be passive aggressive when u fight him

Young Girl quest First play through: Use Broach - Send to Clinic (You get a rune that can be tedious to farm later) NG: Give Broach - Send to Chaple (Get both ribbons) If you end up not playing this character again, and skip some content on new characters, then you don’t have to waste time getting a rune again. The ribbons are just cosmetic. The rune can be useful later on.
I heard him say send her to the clinic even though he chose the option for chapel so I did that, then had a panic when i realised what happend, thinking i had done it wrong your comment helped alot. 0S thank you so much for that mate

Cowboy got me thru ds1, ds2 sotfs, ds3, sekiro, and elden ring and now bloodborne, I love fromsoft games and am breezing through bloodborne, thanks cowboy!
Probably fought Papa Guac around 50 times now. I’ve never seen him as passive as he is in this video. He immediately jumps me and wails away with his axe. I don’t even have time to use the music box - hit the button and he just jumps me and I can’t recover or evade. It’s a real shame because this is a gorgeous game but I’m completely stuck.
1st play through after 3 installs and a few failed starts ! But after pushing myself to do 10 hours and watch your "guides" ! I am now hooked . Just finished the music box boss ! Loving it

Love your walkthroughs Cowboy. I am also on Elden Ring, you are so thorough, amazing job, man. I have nevertheless one tip for other followers. If you guys want to enjoy the game fully, go through zones before watching the video. The searching, discoveries, fails... are a big part of the game. If you just follow the walkthrough, you will not get the fabulous feeling of finding something valuable by yourself, killing a boss without knowing the best strategy to do so, having a sense of achievement. I am going to finish Bloodborne and Elden Ring and get into the remake of Demon's Souls, Cowboy has a guide for it too!

I played this game for the first time about a year ago, it was my first fromsoftware game. I've since played DS 1, 2 and three as well as Sekiro. The first time a fought papa gauche It took me a day and dozens of attempts. I ultimately cheesed him using the tombstones. I just fought him today on a new game+ and starched him on my first attempt with zero cheese. I love this fucking game.
I went off on my own after the first two videos but forgot to equip the music box for him, so I had no choice but to fight him in earnest. Ate through most of my blood vials, but miraculously pulled through on my first attempt. When he went beast mode, I really thought it was over lol
I was so afraid of the first two bosses that I spent day after day grinding, killing every single enemy in central Yharnam over and over again for literally weeks, to get like 10,000 blood echoes each time, and then leveling up over and over (mainly health cos I saw a guide that said to get health to level 30, which I did, and I also got strength and skill to about 16/17, and pumped up my endurance too). Then when I finally faded the Cleric Beast, and Father Gascoigne, I beat both of them first time. I'm as shocked as anyone. Cos I'm terrible at games. And the other soulslike I played before, Dark Souls 1, I never got very far in it and gave up pretty soon after I started running into enemies who I couldn't even seem to damage. I didn't even use the tactics in these great walkthrough videos (like using the oil urns and the molotovs against the Cleric beast, and the music box against Father Gazza) because I thought I'd lose fhe first few times I'd face them and so I didn't want to waste resources. I thought I'd just learn the patterns and then eventually try the advanced tactics. But then I beat them both first try, accidentally, lol So yeah I'm really bloody loving Bloodborne. I'm not terrified of playing it, anymore. I'm brave enough to wander into random areas I've never been, without worrying about dying. I had heard (from hbomberguy's seminal video about why Bloodborne is amazing) that if you tried Dark Souls and bounced off it, you should play and beat Bloodborne and then go back to DS, because Bloodborne teaches you how to play in a style that's _WAAAAAY_ more fun (i.e. hyper aggressive, with the lack of shields, and the health recovery mechanic, instead of turtling your way around DS never dropping your shield which is a lot less fun as a playstyle) and so I bought Bloodborne purely to get myself into soulslike games finally. And it's definitely working. Now I absolutely cannot wait to finish Bloodborne for what I know now will be the first of many times, and then go on and play every other FromSoftware game (I dunno whether to go back to Dark Souls, or get the Demon Souls remake first and get through that before getting back to DS1, then DS2, DS3, Sekiro, and so on). I'm actually really really excited to play Lies of P too even though FromSoftware didn't make it. I actually might play that first, because it looks so incredible and from what I know about it, the RPG side of if is a lot more simple and easy to understand, like it tells you that you still need to talk to certain people to continue quest lines and so on, it's not overly cryptic and reliant on you looking up walkthroughs for absolutely everything, so yeah I may actually buy Lies of P first. I haven't really decided yet. I'm still just loving Bloodborne to bits. I play it every single day. Not many games can get me to do that. Thank you so much for your walkthroughs. The only thing is that they're so good that now I'm wondering whether I should continue watching them, or just try and play the game naturally. It doesn't seem like a game where the story and spoilers matter, but discovering things in gameplay seems to matter a great deal, so would I be spoiling the game to continue watching these? Fuck it I'm gonna keep watching them. Cos there's no way I'll ever discover everything that I need to do otherwise.

On the little girl quest you say "tell her about the clinic" but in fact you sent her to the chapel. I sent her to the clinic and that side quest just ended there for me, no way to get the red ribbon. Don't want to sound ungrateful cos your tutorials have helped me a lot. For me it's just a pain knowing that I can't go back and redo the choice... Oh well...
Another thing you can do is go up the bridge and run toward the enemies to attract them then run back and get on the ladder that leads to sewer and climb down a little. The Boulder will crush the enemies, roll down into the sewer and then you climb up with no damage then proceed to papa guac 😁
2 years later I'm just now playing this game for free now that I got a ps5 . After hours of going in circles I found this lol thank God. Good video and I didn't know about that human shard
FYI if you kill the pig and the ribbon isnt there, make sure you exit to the start screen BEFORE you go fight the big in the tunnel. Otherwise, the Ribbon wont show up.
Just a heads up for anyone still using this walk through like myself. It does matter where you send the little girl. If you send her to the clinic she makes it and you get a lead elixir x2 and you miss out on the red ribbon.
I'm still a bit unsure if it's a kinder route. Iosefka is too kind to be what she appears through the door, and that chuckling she does when you go to collect your reward for sending the girl.. what is she REALLY doing in there?

It counts. If the monster is dead, you're a badass. Not everyone can play a game like this. Clearing anything at all is a great achievement. Don't count yourself out.

The bolder leading to Gazza has a blind spot if you keep to the side, usually the left, you can bait the guys to the right and freely pass the boulder. Then sneak up on the pig and fistapig without lube
if you are having trouble with this... dorstherush the music boxes. just fight him straight up in his early form and pop the first one when he is at half life and the second when he is at 1/3rd life. then you will only have to face the wolf for a small amount rather than half his health.
Hey man! I've been watching you for a long time. One of the things that I wish you did in your 100% walkthroughs would be like small videos that are like check-ins. Just pick a few different level milestones like 25, 50, etc. and then go over your current stats and skills and highlight key things you did, maybe what optional content or areas you hit again and a quick version of your next steps. Like, "I'm going to keep ranking up strength until it hits 40, then put a few points into stamina." and "From here we will be going to the xyz zone, then to zyx zone." I don't like the full hand-holding so after the first few introductory videos, I tend to play large stretches of the games without watching the guides. Then when I come back, you're using abilities I have no clue about or you've decided to change primary weapons now you've picked something else up, etc. I, personally, would really love it if there were some videos along the way like I described where I can be like, "Ok, so he's still pumping everything into strength, he's cleared out this area, picked up xyz skill. And he's heading into this area next." That would keep me on track without having to watch three hours of videos to make sense of what you are currently doing. Which I just don't do, I end up just giving up on following the guide because it's too confusing unless I stick with it every video.
your idea is great but if you're gonna start watching a guide, it's best to continue watching through every video and then you wouldn't have this issue. you can also try to just use the video playback thing to speed up the video to a point where it's fast and understandable. or just don't watch a single guide and look for it by yourself
Thanks for the walkthrough. I tried making an arcane build a year or two ago and I got stuck at Rom the Vacuous Spider so I finally picked up the game again and decided to try your quality build. It's working a lot better for me so far.

I was watching through this because I got stuck, and found the part about the little girl. I went back to this area, not knowing anything about this quest. The moment she mentioned red broach, my stomach just dropped, as I remembered that I had found that same broach on a body and couldn't remember where. And her cries were the single most awful thing I have ever heard in this game. And it makes Father Gascione from a hunter gone bad, which I gathered, to now being something so heart breaking. I guess I am trying to say thanks for showing me these bits as I now know to pay closer attention, and also that there a pieces of this game that will rip your heart out

Having discovered this game yesterday and played it on my own, I ultimately came across my first boss and guess who that was? This damned Gascoigne. I got destroyed in seconds. I looked a bit around Reddit to find some tips, then came across your videos. I decided to follow your walkthrough and killed FG not just 10 minutes ago. 5th or 6th try. I must have forgotten some collectibles but now I’ll follow you. This is my first Soul game. I am such a newbie it’s terrifying yet enjoyable to learn new tricks and tips. You made me discover visceral kills, it changed my life and even successfully managed to use some against FG. I didn’t even know you could do that. So, thanks.

I’ve played through this game like 4 times and it’s still great watching cowboy do a play through.
First time playing any of the Soulsborne games. Nine hours in and I just now got to the Central Ward. For some reason I don’t want to give up even though it’s a challenge compared to the games I normally play. Something about Bloodborne makes it hard to walk away from.
Everyone says it's the best cosmic horror game to come out of the last ten years, cosmic horror being one of my favorite themes in fiction, so I've been bashing my head against a wall repeatedly trying to get into it and failing. Finally feels like this guide gave me a foothold, and the world is SO much more interesting than other FromSoft games
With everything from the previous two videos, I actually managed to beat Gascoigne on my second try. Your walkthrough really helped build up the skill, especially with the suggestions for parry practice on the stone trolls. I didn't even end up using the music box more than once before he turned to the beast-form.
21:34 That door was intended to be a shortcut to Cleric Beast but it was cut from the game before release. If you run over to the balcony where the giant and skittering horror is you can see the bridge where you fight Cleric Beast. You can also see shining coins if you use those there too.

Yup. They cut it from the game to save on load times. Apparently, it would have caused a lot of extra load time every time you went near it. It was also cut to make it to where you have to fight Father Gascoigne.
Wish they would’ve left it. Some people miss the cleric beast altogether. They find father and the cathedral ward and keep pushing forward.

I’m taking a little bit more time to farm echos in my campaign, and I’ve decided to use the Kirk hammer, for those of you who want to really just melt anything in central yharnam I’d recommend giving it a try, super good early weapon.

@@BarnyWaterg8 Yeah managed to get through it but wasn't really happy with my skill level by the end of it. I have moved on to Sekiro and it is by far the most addicting and satisfying game they have made imo.
Hey man I’m closing in on a 1,000 hours😂. I made 4 different PVP characters with different builds. Then a character on NG7 and a mule character that’s like lvl 350 so I can play with all the weapons. Co-op keeps me playing. Just started Bloodbourne myself! Halfway through DS1. I got cursed in the depths. Ofc lol!

How in THE WORLD did you fight this guy and he only shot you once?!?!?!?!?!? I fought him last night and while I did beat him, he shot me like 25 times. Also in his beast form he did this lunge attack that wasn’t in the video like 5 times in a row.

Same I barely beat him second time. I had a sliver of health left. Like it looked like I had no health I got lucky and dumped my pistola in his back for the win. His combos seemed never ending tho.
I beat him first try. Just use some of the stats on vitality strength and skill if u use military veteran and saw. And be passive aggressive when u fight him

If you end up not playing this character again, and skip some content on new characters, then you don’t have to waste time getting a rune again. The ribbons are just cosmetic. The rune can be useful later on.
I used the brooch like Cowboy and sent her to the chapel. I found her body in the tunnel but no ribbon?

Probably fought Papa Guac around 50 times now. I’ve never seen him as passive as he is in this video. He immediately jumps me and wails away with his axe.
I don’t even have time to use the music box - hit the button and he just jumps me and I can’t recover or evade. It’s a real shame because this is a gorgeous game but I’m completely stuck.
1st play through after 3 installs and a few failed starts ! But after pushing myself to do 10 hours and watch your "guides" ! I am now hooked . Just finished the music box boss ! Loving it
That father boss was hard. Hiding behind the fountain game me when he was a beast was the solution, he has trouble getting around it.

I have nevertheless one tip for other followers. If you guys want to enjoy the game fully, go through zones before watching the video. The searching, discoveries, fails... are a big part of the game. If you just follow the walkthrough, you will not get the fabulous feeling of finding something valuable by yourself, killing a boss without knowing the best strategy to do so, having a sense of achievement.
I am going to finish Bloodborne and Elden Ring and get into the remake of Demon's Souls, Cowboy has a guide for it too!

I played this game for the first time about a year ago, it was my first fromsoftware game. I've since played DS 1, 2 and three as well as Sekiro. The first time a fought papa gauche It took me a day and dozens of attempts. I ultimately cheesed him using the tombstones. I just fought him today on a new game+ and starched him on my first attempt with zero cheese. I love this fucking game.

I went off on my own after the first two videos but forgot to equip the music box for him, so I had no choice but to fight him in earnest. Ate through most of my blood vials, but miraculously pulled through on my first attempt. When he went beast mode, I really thought it was over lol
I was so afraid of the first two bosses that I spent day after day grinding, killing every single enemy in central Yharnam over and over again for literally weeks, to get like 10,000 blood echoes each time, and then leveling up over and over (mainly health cos I saw a guide that said to get health to level 30, which I did, and I also got strength and skill to about 16/17, and pumped up my endurance too). Then when I finally faded the Cleric Beast, and Father Gascoigne, I beat both of them first time.
I'm as shocked as anyone. Cos I'm terrible at games. And the other soulslike I played before, Dark Souls 1, I never got very far in it and gave up pretty soon after I started running into enemies who I couldn't even seem to damage.
I didn't even use the tactics in these great walkthrough videos (like using the oil urns and the molotovs against the Cleric beast, and the music box against Father Gazza) because I thought I'd lose fhe first few times I'd face them and so I didn't want to waste resources. I thought I'd just learn the patterns and then eventually try the advanced tactics.
But then I beat them both first try, accidentally, lol
So yeah I'm really bloody loving Bloodborne. I'm not terrified of playing it, anymore. I'm brave enough to wander into random areas I've never been, without worrying about dying. I had heard (from hbomberguy's seminal video about why Bloodborne is amazing) that if you tried Dark Souls and bounced off it, you should play and beat Bloodborne and then go back to DS, because Bloodborne teaches you how to play in a style that's _WAAAAAY_ more fun (i.e. hyper aggressive, with the lack of shields, and the health recovery mechanic, instead of turtling your way around DS never dropping your shield which is a lot less fun as a playstyle) and so I bought Bloodborne purely to get myself into soulslike games finally. And it's definitely working.
Now I absolutely cannot wait to finish Bloodborne for what I know now will be the first of many times, and then go on and play every other FromSoftware game (I dunno whether to go back to Dark Souls, or get the Demon Souls remake first and get through that before getting back to DS1, then DS2, DS3, Sekiro, and so on).
I'm actually really really excited to play Lies of P too even though FromSoftware didn't make it. I actually might play that first, because it looks so incredible and from what I know about it, the RPG side of if is a lot more simple and easy to understand, like it tells you that you still need to talk to certain people to continue quest lines and so on, it's not overly cryptic and reliant on you looking up walkthroughs for absolutely everything, so yeah I may actually buy Lies of P first. I haven't really decided yet. I'm still just loving Bloodborne to bits.

It doesn't seem like a game where the story and spoilers matter, but discovering things in gameplay seems to matter a great deal, so would I be spoiling the game to continue watching these? Fuck it I'm gonna keep watching them. Cos there's no way I'll ever discover everything that I need to do otherwise.

If you let that Amygdala orb grab you, it sends you into the air, causes frenzy then gives you one insight.
On the little girl quest you say "tell her about the clinic" but in fact you sent her to the chapel. I sent her to the clinic and that side quest just ended there for me, no way to get the red ribbon. Don't want to sound ungrateful cos your tutorials have helped me a lot. For me it's just a pain knowing that I can't go back and redo the choice... Oh well...

I just start playing BB, i can tell that i will be following your walkthrough coz its very well explained and bro your calm voice is therapy.
Another thing you can do is go up the bridge and run toward the enemies to attract them then run back and get on the ladder that leads to sewer and climb down a little. The Boulder will crush the enemies, roll down into the sewer and then you climb up with no damage then proceed to papa guac 😁
You can just stand to the side of the stairs. You dont have to run to the ladder

FYI if you kill the pig and the ribbon isnt there, make sure you exit to the start screen BEFORE you go fight the big in the tunnel. Otherwise, the Ribbon wont show up.

Just a heads up for anyone still using this walk through like myself. It does matter where you send the little girl. If you send her to the clinic she makes it and you get a lead elixir x2 and you miss out on the red ribbon.

The bolder leading to Gazza has a blind spot if you keep to the side, usually the left, you can bait the guys to the right and freely pass the boulder. Then sneak up on the pig and fistapig without lube

if you are having trouble with this... dorstherush the music boxes. just fight him straight up in his early form and pop the first one when he is at half life and the second when he is at 1/3rd life. then you will only have to face the wolf for a small amount rather than half his health.
Hey man! I've been watching you for a long time. One of the things that I wish you did in your 100% walkthroughs would be like small videos that are like check-ins. Just pick a few different level milestones like 25, 50, etc. and then go over your current stats and skills and highlight key things you did, maybe what optional content or areas you hit again and a quick version of your next steps. Like, "I'm going to keep ranking up strength until it hits 40, then put a few points into stamina." and "From here we will be going to the xyz zone, then to zyx zone."
I don't like the full hand-holding so after the first few introductory videos, I tend to play large stretches of the games without watching the guides. Then when I come back, you're using abilities I have no clue about or you've decided to change primary weapons now you've picked something else up, etc. I, personally, would really love it if there were some videos along the way like I described where I can be like, "Ok, so he's still pumping everything into strength, he's cleared out this area, picked up xyz skill. And he's heading into this area next." That would keep me on track without having to watch three hours of videos to make sense of what you are currently doing. Which I just don't do, I end up just giving up on following the guide because it's too confusing unless I stick with it every video.
your idea is great but if you're gonna start watching a guide, it's best to continue watching through every video and then you wouldn't have this issue. you can also try to just use the video playback thing to speed up the video to a point where it's fast and understandable. or just don't watch a single guide and look for it by yourself
