Something I suggest doing before entering Old Yharnam is buying Gascoigne's attire from the Insight Bath Messengers for 6 Insight in total. It grants excellent poison resistance which can help players who struggle in the area. You don't need to save up Insight for Blood Rocks, you will only fortify one, maybe two weapons to +10 and you got those covered by playing through the game. For the Blood-Starved Beast another way to trivialize the fight is to dodge forward into its right arm basically under the armpit whenever it attacks, then turn around and get in a few hits. That is a blind spot for every single one of its attacks in all three phases so you should only lose life to poison in phase 3.
i genuinely went “that’s not fair” when you did the blood cocktail strat, i’ve been playing as you’ve been releasing the vids and spent 2 hours last night slamming my head into a wall from that fight, all jus for a 30 second cheese.
Bro first time playing bloodborn didn't even use the strat and beat him first try. Maybe cause I played all of Elden ring before this but it wasn't that bad
The thing that gets me about FromSoft games is not knowing what to expect around the next corner, so just watching these videos gives me the confidence to make it through the next area. Your DS1 walkthrough helped me beat that game, and I have no doubt I can beat Bloodborne with this one.
Personally, it’s not the dying that annoys me, it’s the whole “you have 20k blood echoes and you fall off a ledge because the game is designed to not have parkour mechanics despite tall areas”, if I lose 20k I want to lose it from dying to a creature that fairly kills me not walking into an ambush of 20 without knowing or falling off ledges. For example, that one moment where he went to the high area and set the fire trap…even whilst watching this video I fell the first time lol I can only imagine if I hadn’t I’d have probably fell like 5 times and rage quit the game. The bosses actually don’t piss me off is the areas and level design at times
@@rorisangpitswane3595 It's the repetition for me. When I have to do a 20 minute trek back to the boss every time I die, I get really fucking good at that 20 minute trek, but not so much the boss. I beat this thing waaaaay with regular strats but put video games aside cause I got busy with work. Pandemic happened so I got time on weekends now. I was mad rusty. Started game over and just checked up on this strat. This one is the ticket. No point in stressing over video games enough of that in real life.👌
Sooo, I also failed miserably with the pungent blood cocktail strategy several times before I did it (somewhat) successfully and there is something extremely important that Cowboy fails to mention. The lock-on can fuck up the entire process, royally. My first try had me waltz in confidently and do everything I saw Cowboy do, except after the first PBC, all subsequent ones hit the beast in the face which is ineffective to say the least. I burned through all of them and got molested by BSB and had to grind echoes for more. It took awhile to figure it out and I still managed to fuck up even after I realized what I was doing wrong. So, if you're struggling with the strat, that's probably why.
Yeah I just realised I fought him twice, with lock on, and died twice. Took another look at the video, he doesn't lock on to it. Going to try that next.
Just saw your strategy on the blood starved beast boss and I am cussing myself like a sailor...you know how hard that sob was took me hours to finally beat him and all my antidotes and still just barely managed to beat him...needless to say I will use this strategy on my next ng+ play keep up the good work

The blood cocktail strat didn’t work at all for me! It completely ignored the cocktails. Used all 9 and was almost dead before I started fighting back. Still beat it the first time tho!
it usually has to do with range and basically ig you could call it it's "agro percentage" basically if it's fighting you already it tends to ignore it more and when they're thrown closer to it, it usually helps but I've seen a few instances where it works the other way 'round.

You're just used to Souls games now. I started on BB, then went to Sekiro, DS3, and Elden Ring. Elden Ring was so stupid easy I thought people were joking about it being hard. They all have overlapping learned skills.
I read that you have to kill the boss you access by getting killed by the body snatcher, and then you can climb up the ladder and talk to the gatling gun guy, and he gives you an emote - then you can kill him and get his drop, as well.
Thank you! I never thought there might be another path up to take care of that annoying gatling gun.. And uninstalled the game handful of times because of that area while there's actually a way to deal with him so easily. I'll attempt to get through blood starved beast soon-ish.

I just used a mix of this strategy and the dodge to the left to kill the BSB. I died three times but considering I'm just new to this kind of games I feel relieved I did it relatively quickly. Thank you very much for this guide it's great!
I’m new to soulsborne games and I’m just now getting used to it as well. Hang in there, Lizzie
11:50 Can't think of a fire eccentric boss in the game maybe one in the dlc.Laurence wants a word lol only one of the hardest bosses in bloodborne.
Thats who he was talking about...
@@dorianjareth9198 He couldn't think of a fire eccentric boss in the game he forgot about laurence one of the most difficult bosses in the game.
@@ozzhhawqc2010 but then he mentioned the DLC after
@@depressedwarlock433 Come on its not that difficult to understand he said he can't remember a fire eccentric boss in the game he then said there maybe one in the dlc.Saying maybe one in the dlc means he's not sure if there is a fire eccentric boss in the dlc which means he has forgotten one of the most difficult bosses in the game.
@@ozzhhawqc2010 you’re pretty eccentric yourself, huh?
Best souls like video I've ever laid my eyes apon, Bless your heart cowboy.
Watching the blood starved beast fight wondering were this was 5 years ago when that fight took way more attempts then it should have
One thing that helped me out big time when I finally learned to make sure and do it was to pay close attention to my stamina bar and when I'm One more hit away from running out I roll away instead of hitting You can get out of range of almost everything in this game with one roll not quite everything but mostly
I fucking love your walkthroughs you helped me with dark souls 3, demon souls and now bloodborne
So glad you finally made a walkthrough. This was the only souls game that I couldn't follow your guide on, until now.
I had beat the cleric beast and killed Eileen for her weapon, then got put into the backlog for a while, perfect reason to go back and finish. I got Sekiro and went to that, then Uninstalled BB for space, downloading again now!
@@jalepeno_pete3589 Bloodborne was my first souls like game, and maybe even the best, in my opinion.
@@krazyhaze6007 Dark Souls was mine, and it was just way too frustrating trying to navigate. Only made it about halfway through before giving up. Almost did the same with Bloodborne, but with the guide I'm loving it. At very least the setting is way fucking cooler than Dark Souls imo.
Why is is game so dark compared to mine?
Adjust your brightness
Probably just his settings 😅
Just saw your strategy on the blood starved beast boss and I am cussing myself like a sailor...you know how hard that sob was took me hours to finally beat him and all my antidotes and still just barely managed to beat him...needless to say I will use this strategy on my next ng+ play keep up the good work
09:18 fighting the other hunter - his ai breaks and he doesn't attack you if you can bait him into jumping down the ramp that cowboy mentions. Just keep him in the corner and slice away. GG
I love that you added the cheese strats! I loved learning those.
Your voice makes the pain from this game disappear
"What's happenin y'all", My Fav walkthroughs, Fav youtube channel
I litterly did the blood starved boss this morning took me 3 tries with only using fire papers and molotoves wich was still fairly hard, i came to this vid to see how to get to the next area and you just made me almost full out rage👁👄👁
DUDE i suck at video games but your walkthroughs have helped me so much
at first i didn't think i'd be able to beat even a single boss but i did and it's so fun
The blood cocktail strat didn’t work at all for me! It completely ignored the cocktails. Used all 9 and was almost dead before I started fighting back. Still beat it the first time tho!
Yeah same here lmao gotta love it
it usually has to do with range and basically ig you could call it it's "agro percentage" basically if it's fighting you already it tends to ignore it more and when they're thrown closer to it, it usually helps but I've seen a few instances where it works the other way 'round.
God damn, Cowboy! I've been stuck on that machine gun guy for days lol
Love ur videos and I’m playing along with u! Love how ur still doing the prep live streams and posting the walk through daily!
Me too!!!
me three
I just came here to see if i was missing anything and learn i could’ve saved myself 2 days and my sanity😭
Wow man 2 days is rough 🤣🤣🤣
Died using the fool proof strategy, rip 18k echoes, should of just leveled up when I had the chance
Same, I was able to run back and grab my echos though. He should have mentioned tbe poison aura but to be fair when you have been playin the game as long as he has things like that probably go without saying
Reeeeeeeeealy wish I wouldve watched this video before I fought the Blood starved Beast. *sigh*
At least I can use that strat on a second playthrough.
I'm new to Bloodborne and been checking your videos to make sure I'm getting everything (I watch em after I clear an area so I avoid spoilers). I Appreciate the content man
Love this guys walkthroughs. The hint on blood was the best and I never even fouht the boss before the. I kept holding off to super level up as I knew that cathedral was a boss. But he told me that now I'ma run in super confident
Wish he'd said you needed pungent bloods that are 2000 echoes each. I went in with 5 and thought I had enough............. didn't
Needed 7 I had 5
As a newer bloodborne player I thank you I wouldn’t be able to get through it with out your walkthroughs
25:18 I appreciate the blood cocktail stat I thought I had enough of them to work with but I choked my first fight so I jus gave up the grinding and tried to take him head on without the Molotov’s and blood tails but I def could’ve used them😭😭
Cowboy your DS3 walkthrough is what got me into FromSoft games. Keep up the awesome content!
Playing this after Elden Ring is crazy. I remember almost throwing in the towel because of how difficult Margit was. father gascoigne was fairly tough but honestly I didn’t have any trouble with blood starved beast without using the strat . This game seems a bit more forgiving on new players
Daaaam son , I’m so glad I found you , compared to the cleric beast and papa this last boss was super easy with this method , still got my heart and anxiety throught the roof while I fought it because I didn’t want to make any mistake again but no problem at all with this method 👌🏻
This walkthrough is amazing. Easy to follow and straight to the point. I wanted to see how well I faired against the BSB before using the method in the video and surprisingly I was able to beat it on my first try
There is also a hidden fire paper near the area with the crowd. It’s near the entrance to the building to the right. I l almost missed it
I wish you have released this walkthrough 5 years ago.
I fucking love your videos they're just perfect.... The way that you play...... MAKES ME WANT TO PLAY.
then play
I don't even own Bloodborne and yet I find these walkthroughs so entertaining for some reason. Can't wait for when Elden Ring drops and you make a walkthrough guide on that game.
You should get it, don't watch the walkthrough because it spoils it. These type of games are best played blind.
@@rupe82 Not really, It's good to use the walkthrough on ur first playthrough because it's really difficult at first and if people do not want to destroy their stuff, rage or lose interest in the game it's good to use this at the first play.
@@laky25cz There's nothing wrong with using a walkthrough if you're stuck at a particular part but why would you watch it all? It just spoils the game.
@@rupe82 Well i just watch it to know what to expect when I walk into the new area but i fight bosses alone everything explores alone and I read a lot of lore. and at my other playthroughs I just play without it.
I literally don't get it at 5:50 I do exactly what he did shoot him 3 times and he just eats the bullets and comes at me what am I doing wrong? I've done this about 7 times now
Are you spamming it the second you get up top the ladder? If you move forward at all he'll start advancing towards you. Might take more than 3
@@FightinCowboy yeah as soon as I get off the ladder I spam it, he eats the first 2 and then side steps
I'm new to souls games and I tried to just play this like a normal game. Didn't quite work. This walk through showed me a lot I missed.
Geez after more than 5 years I finally know how to beat this boss!😂😂
you never thought to google a potential strat for BSB after 5 years?
@@throwaq7870 i feel him im also kinda retarded, this boss was a wall for me i could kill all bosses in this game except this fucker, 78 kills and i got a friend to do it for me, it's weird only needed 12 tries on Orphan of Kos which i agree is super hard but this fucker no never couldn't do shit
@@throwaq7870 Nope. The whole Soulsborne community seems to lose their shit at the idea of looking anything up and will usually shit on anyone who does, so it's often less discouraging to give up than to look something up.
Oh my god. I’ve finished this game once and nearly finished the 2nd run & never knew this tactic. Thanks cowboy.
Just when i want to buy ps4, cowboy renewed his bloodborne walkthrough, well... Guess I've found my first souls game
I just beat the boss using this strategy. I panicked and used all my cocktails but I did it. Thank you.
I know I’m late to the party but I finally killed blood starved beast
This guy’s walk through’s are blessings 🙏
Finished elden ring couple times, just went through your dark souls re walkthroughs. Bloodeborne for the 2nd time now. Love the content
I died 6 times to BSB, but U strategy made it become a frickin' joke
I literally quit playing for months cause I couldn't beat BSB. Eventually I gave it another go and got it. (It was my first souls like game, and didn't understand the risk/reward concept yet). I wish this guide was here when I did my first 2 playthroughs.
Only 6? I just spent a good 5 hours on the dude (some of that was farming blood echos to level up)
I don't even have the game but im watching just in case i manage to snag a PS5 and get the game for free, also your walkthrough's are top tier so you deserve the views
Glad to see your still making walkthroughs to this day, your dark souls 3 walkthroughs were super good and honestly fun to watch
Oh, man.
Thank you for the strategy.
I literally wasted everything on this fight.
Now I have to farm the wolves because I have only 2 blood vials and that's it. :D
At least I don't have to make a new character.
DUDE! There’s no way you killed the boss that fast. I struggled for days trying to beat that thing when the game first came out!
I hate that they put the lantern after the boss not before. I hate the losing souls mechanics, make exploration feel like a bad thing to do.
Yo new to bloodborne I love it . Beat elden ring ng+7 and now this. Thanks for ur help even though some people may look down on ya for beating these game with guides but it makes it fun for me . All that matters really
5 play throughout and I didn’t know about that oil canister that sets the area on fire🤦🏻
Awesome video, I have to fight the boss tomorrow morning lol.
Damm he came in clutch i was just entering this area!
I've been trying to beat the machine gun guy all weekend. I can't wait to get home now lol.
