Deftones is one of the few bands that build concepts on each album, through the melody, the setting, the lyrics, the artwork. Every album is an experience, and this Ohms has literally blown my head off. ‘Urantia’ with an addictive melody, ‘Error’ Rhythmically brutal, ‘The Spell of Mathematics’ my favorite Deftones theme so far (impressive), with ‘Pompeji’ I imagined spectres from another dimension enjoying the waters, ‘Radiant City’ with its head-busting riff and Headless with that SNW 2006 vibes concludes a perfect album in my opinion.
Why isnt anyone talking about the fact that deftones community has 0 lvls of toxicity... that Girls enjoy as much as bois. This is crazy, always love Deftones always will. 🤟🇵🇹
WILD THINGS I’m referring to the people that repeatedly say the band is lazy & uninspired, or simply saying it sucks, not bothering to explain what they don’t like other than “it’s not heavy.” Having a different opinion is fine, but the discussion is on toxic opinions
In love with the song! When you combine all the songs, lyrics theme, artwork and the music videos (Ohms and Genesis) is a incredible and ethereal audiovisual experience

A feeling
Of warmth inside of you
[Pre-Chorus 1]
Holy and strict
Six times a day
We will exchange
Our violent wings
But the beauty is when
You touch me
[Chorus]
I believe your love
Has placed its spell on me
And I believe your love
Is the only thing needed to survive
I believe your love
Creates this space whеre we can breathе
But I believe your love
Beholds this sacred key to life
[Verse 2]
The snakes come pouring out of your heart
And you know that I can't deny them
So I sink inside where we writhe and create
That feeling that pangs my time with you
[Pre-Chorus 2]
We sway in the wind
Inside a haze
Where you speak your language
What am I to say?
I'll just wait for your limbs
To touch me
[Chorus]
I believe your love
Has placed its spell on me
And I believe your love
Is the only thing needed to survive
I believe your love
Creates this space where we can breathe
I believe your love
Beholds this sacred key to life

🤣🤣🤣
Yes lmao 😂
My fav off the album. The bass carries this song so well.
It is actually a 9-string guitar tuned to c#. Of course the bass is in the same octave as the guitar but that is Stephen’s riffing.
That’s awesome!
It’s totally Abe’s drumming for me
@@charlyngamble6962 *Zach Hill’s :)
why am i levitating
I ask this when listening to Deftones especially rosemary
I believe this album has placed its spell on me
Amen!!
Deftones in general have my heart... but Abe absolutely kills with his beats. Phenomenal job man
It’s like he continued Digital Bath.
next level drumming
He's like the Ringo of heavy music and every single time finds the pocket and perfect groove for each song. I've seen him 15 times live and he is without a doubt the best drummer I have ever seen!
his grooves couldn't be any more perfect. he sits in the pocket and delivers exactly what is needed and never more, truly the driving force of the band.
jacob s,ith there’s a live version of fireal where the camera keeps abe and chino in focus on the second half of the song. You can see what a beast he is behind the kit.
I could sleep but I set an alarm at 6 to hear this instead.
Priorities. It's been a long wait anyways
You are most wise
You are one of us...
Well timed.
I love you! 😅
Longest day ever waiting for this. Was not disappointed.
fuck it, this is the best deftones song of all time.
i fucking hate that there are people who hate this album. both this song and album are top five.
This is Deftones pure essence. this is a classic right here
So awesome that they brought Terry Date back. I like some of his work such as with Deftones, Soundgarden, Pantera and others.
Cool. I like all 3 those bands. Sadly only 1 still with us.
Their best work since White Pony. This album is a masterpiece
This album rivals White Pony to me tbh
I have to give that title to Diamond Eyes. But it's their best since then for sure
Best since SNW for me.
A matter of individual opinion ;)
*Since Self-titled 2003 and SNW 2006
I love when the guitar and bass drop in the chorus all heavy and grungy like Soundgarden's 4th of July.
This song was meant to be played to at 1.25. Thank me later!!!!

👌🤘💖 My thoughts as well on the first couple of listens!
Why isnt anyone talking about the fact that deftones community has 0 lvls of toxicity... that Girls enjoy as much as bois.
This is crazy, always love Deftones always will.
🤟🇵🇹
There is a little toxicity with elitist fans who love their old albums & trash on the newer ones, but you see it less than with other bands
Fredrick Cosma those guys don’t count. Every band has that unfortunately.
@@fredrickcosma8942 Is that elitism or just opinion?
WILD THINGS I’m referring to the people that repeatedly say the band is lazy & uninspired, or simply saying it sucks, not bothering to explain what they don’t like other than “it’s not heavy.” Having a different opinion is fine, but the discussion is on toxic opinions
@@fredrickcosma8942 I don't think many people trash their new albums. Diamond eyes and KNY are some of their best work.
The lyrics though..beautiful chaotic poetry. Fucking love the Deftones. They will always be my all time favorite band.
i love when an album grows on me after a few listens. it's like falling in love
The guitar and bass tone on this album is THIC
This song was meant to be played to at 1.25. Thank me later!!!!
In love with the song!
When you combine all the songs, lyrics theme, artwork and the music videos (Ohms and Genesis) is a incredible and ethereal audiovisual experience
Just INCREDIBLE

Ma ciao Daniele ahahah
Hmm. Probably my least favorite on this album. That chorus is whack

Q foda
I'm declaring OHMS Deftones best album to date. In fact, this may just be one of the best albums I've ever heard from any artist, period. Every lyric, vocal and melody is deliberate with a purpose. This may just be the best album my ears have ever heard.
For all you smokers out there, I challenge you to listen to this entire album the next time you take a trip. You're welcome
I listened to this while baked and it was phenomenal
I love this album but it’s hard for me to choose a favorite. Koi no Yokan is amazing! The self titled album is really heavy. White pony is a classic. Their just too good
@@richardjarquin9498 Koi No Yokan and Pony were both amazing albums. Rosemary was previously my all time favorite Deftones track. The Spell of Mathematics has since become my new favorite Deftones track, but Error and Headless aren't far behind 🤏🏾
Geo TheBlaxican u didn’t mention pompeji 😳 that song has now become my all time favorite
@@richardjarquin9498 that's a great track too! I can honestly that I enjoy every single track on this album. From start to finish, it's an absolute masterpiece
How can a band thats been so good for so long still be able to put out work that sounds as good as their old stuff while still being fresh and inspiring? The atmosphere on this track and the album as a whole is just colossal this is phenomenal
So two weeks ago I was doing an early commute to work. Foggy autumn morning with this song. And the sun came out from behind the clouds, enlightening the fog and the whole world, while this song was at around 3:01. A truly unbelievable moment and pure magic. This will be my No1 Deftones song because of that very moment. Thank you.
This is so cool, I got some Sade vibes in this one. Feels super groovy
Ooohhh I didn't think of Sade. Chino lists her as an inspiration for sure

the best song on the album
the rhythm, the groove, the bass, the Chino's voice, everything is perfect.

This track is so fuckin badass...the essence of Deftones...
Ever since their Deftones album, I've had to acclimate to most of their songs, but once I do, the songs are so beautiful that I actually feel like I'm beautiful while listening to them.
This song puts you in a trance, and it's even better when you're high. I could just stare at the sky and listen to this on repeat forever (I'm high)

I think there are very few bands that can capture human emotion in their music to a high degree. Deftones are certainly one of them, and in my opinion, the best at it. It's pure ART.

Their best album since White Pony. No lie. Chino's distorted vocals and Sergio's bass.
Good comment, but Diamond Eyes has to be somewhere in there...
