This album holds a special place in my heart. Not only is it a masterpiece, it was released on the same day my first son was born. Because of COVID, they wouldn’t let me in the hospital for the first 5 hours of my wife’s labour because they didn’t have enough rooms to admit her. I sat in my car nervous, excited and angry all at the same time. I listened to this album on repeat until my wife got a room and they let me in. Thank you Deftones for consistently getting me through some of the biggest challenges in my life.

White Pony came out 2 months before my mom died. Ohms came out 4 months after I became a mother to my first daughter. Listening to these lyrics, I can feel the pain of 20 years ago balance itself with the joy of the present. Thank you guys for being there for me throughout the worst and best days of my life.

Deftones somehow manages to stay deep in their roots after more than two decades and still keep it fresh. With other bands you can tell their core sound starts to drift after a while... deftones goes even deeper. Legends
Definitely, it seems like most bands from all over the alt rock umbrella in the nineties have been selling out, but these guys know how to keep it fresh while retaining that classic sound (trying to forget about Gore though)

I have to comment again after actually listening. My best friend took his own life in January. Every time I’ve seen Deftones it’s been with him. He took me to my first Deftones show. I remember when Diamond Eyes came out and how much it meant to both of us to fall in love with that album like we had ones before. The first single on this album about killed me ... the lyrics felt like I was talking to him/writing to him. This one just gives me goosebumps. I feel him listening to this album as it slowly releases with me and I know he’d love it too. This album means everything to me this year. A devastating year that’s just about destroyed me. I just needed this. Thank you.

I discovered Deftones at 10 years old when DBZ released a movie that featured “Change”. I used them as my guide to heavy music, and they’ve been one of my favorites ever since. My brother took me to my first concert 4 years later, I got to see them play at Family Values along with many others. I am fucking stoked that I can sit here at 28 years old with this absolute slapper of a song, and hearing my 6 year old daughter tell me she wants her first concert to be Deftones. A whole generation later. 🤘🏻
As a teenager, I identified with their sound and it helped me with my grief and anger. I'm 30 now and this is helping me identify with other emotions such as growth, balance, and acceptance. My whole life I have been in a constant cycle of abuse from my alcoholic mother that I've finally started to notice it and break it the past few years. It's not easy but as always, Deftones is there.

The 80's synth wave, Cyberpunk feel is so good, Deftones makes you feel like your floating through the actual ether of existence while transcending space and time.

I love deftones but I had to limit my intake cause it always made me fixated on wallowing because of how intense the lyrics were emotionally. Now to compare to a song from one of those its very much in the vein of poltergeist as far as the way chino does a TON of that scream/yell thing he does on the verses. Overall fans are going to dig it! Chorus wasn't my favorite ever but need time to let it marinate! Im pumped because the first single worried me they were ditching the sounds they cultivated on DE and KNY but thats def not the case. It seems we are in for quite a diverse record!

Very, very few musical artists can go 25+ years at this sustained level of excellence. It's been a ride that never disappoints. I always laugh at the dumb recommendations music services give me based on Deftones. They aren't part of a genre. They are the genre.

I think Koi No Yokan is one of their best albums, but I found Gore to be a disappointing album, and both of the singles from their upcoming album have disappointed me.

Working at my shit cubicle job and this song came on.... face planted into my desk with my memories of my 20s working at a bar and partying with my friends all day at work then driving down to the beach with my surfer girlfriend to watch the sun rise and always Deftones in my speakers. At the bar at the beach Deftones was there.
There is something about the Deftones sound that resonates with everything I am feeling and experiencing and they have never gotten away from that; At the same time keeping their sound fresh and invigorating. I think Deftones is the only band I that I've continuously listened to since middle school up to now a 31yo
I discovered Deftones at 10 years old when DBZ released a movie that featured “Change”. I used them as my guide to heavy music, and they’ve been one of my favorites ever since. My brother took me to my first concert 4 years later, I got to see them play at Family Values along with many others. I am fucking stoked that I can sit here at 28 years old with this absolute slapper of a song, and hearing my 6 year old daughter tell me she wants her first concert to be Deftones. A whole generation later. 🤘🏻

It might sound obvious but check the album "around the fur" carefully you will be pleased

I love deftones but I had to limit my intake cause it always made me fixated on wallowing because of how intense the lyrics were emotionally. dont expect that sound at all. Its really good tho. If I had to make comparisons id say tone and style its very much like diamond eyes or koi no yokan records which I think is great! Now to compare to a song from one of those its very much in the vein of poltergeist as far as the way chino does a TON of that scream/yell thing he does on the verses. Overall fans are going to dig it! Chorus wasn't my favorite ever but need time to let it marinate! Im pumped because the first single worried me they were ditching the sounds they cultivated on DE and KNY but thats def not the case. It seems we are in for quite a diverse record!

Very, very few musical artists can go 25+ years at this sustained level of excellence. It's been a ride that never disappoints. I always laugh at the dumb recommendations music services give me based on Deftones. They aren't part of a genre. They are the genre.

There is something about the Deftones sound that resonates with everything I am feeling and experiencing and they have never gotten away from that; At the same time keeping their sound fresh and invigorating. I absolutely LOVE THIS BAND and I ALWAYS WILL.... Thank you Deftones for giving me the solace I needed yet again.....

Intro sounds like white pony, the big riffs that follow have self titled vibes with a bit of Saturday night wrist... and the chorus/verses are VERY much akin to that of Gore.. quite the recipe there Deftones 🤘🏽🔥

I'd say you're right on it sounding like white pony and Saturday night wrist, but I'd say instead of Gore, I'd say more of Koi No Yokan which is more fitting.

This is probably among their 5 all-time best songs. It's certainly my new favorite, and Ohms altogether is certainly 2020's best album.

Man, it's been 2 years I've been listening to Deftones now. Yes, I do regret finding it so late but as now I've found. There's no going back. The only band which makes you feel different. There's just no comparison. They are elites at what they do. Also, how happy I was about Genesis release & yes, it's been on repeat since I've heard. Thank you, Deftones. ❤️

My sister and I always loved Deftones together. We would go see them in concert any chance we got. We actually were chosen out of the crowd to meet them with 98kupd🖤❤️
She was killed a year ago in a car accident. I can hardly listen to any of their music with out tears streaming from my eyes. She loves this newest album so much. I just can not get over my loss. She was my best friend. I want to listen to this album but it’s to hard.

I've been rocking to the Deftone since late 1995. I heard "Bored" on a local radio station in Boston. The next day drove to Newbury comics,bought Adrenaline and have been one of my all-time favorite bands since.
