Great question. I do not use any mounting bolts. The transom is still in good shape and the motor that was on the boat before was about 30 lbs heavier so I figured it would be fine. I did add a transom saver to my trailer which helps the stress on the transom while driving on the trailer quite a bit. There will be a video about it out soon!

I had the same concerns. I do keep a cable lock going from the motor to the back handle of the boat while driving just in case, maybe it would be a good idea to rig it on there permanently just to be safe. Thanks for watching! :)
I have the same myself, the 2021. I live with a lake that go out in some fjords in the Northern sea, the engine is used as a extention out in the fjord islands in summer. spring autum Wery reliable, soon 200 hours. Before i used the EFI 25 2007 Tohatsu, out year round, newer flushed ,one impeller and some plugs oil, ab 1000 hours with no problem. The 9,8 is a good simple and "modernized" carb engine . The boat is a Pioner 10 HDPE boat from Norway 2020
