great vid! Soooo tempted to pick up a sib for coastal duties. The wreck of the Merisia is right in on the rocks. There's also a couple between Laxey and Bulgham close in and something quite special in the middle of the bay. I've dived them and side-scanned. Ping me on the side, I have some handy info ;)
Do you tether your engine to your d rings on your transom? If the clamps do come loose your engine could jump off. Also in reverse your engine will try and lift of the transom.
My clamps will not come loose bud, I tighten them so much, belt and braces would be to tether but I’ve never heard of anyone losing one amongst the people I know who are out on them a lot, I pre flight (skydiving term lol) everything beforehand and double check
Could you send a link to the wreck finder app, I can't find it. Iv just down sized from my avon searider sr4 60hp to a honwave t38 with a honda 20hp much more adventure friendly
Amazing video one again! Im about to buy my first wee SIB thanks to yourself and the OYZ boys for the inspiration! Im looking at the boat world 330 pro, with a 15hp engine any thoughts?
Could I ask about the outboard , I am aware it’s by far the most recommended for that sib Could I ask the following does it need an extended throttle handle or is standard okay for reach and control and comfort and what length shaft have you gone for . Yours is manual start was that a considered choice over electric many thanks
Hi Pete, I don’t use a tiller extension handle, I’ve got one but never felt the need, I went for manual pull start purely as the outboard is a little lighter and I wouldn’t need a battery with me 😊
Awesome video, im looking to put my order in for the 365 would you recommend it ? I would love to hear your feed back. Could you fit two adults and two small kids on it age 6-9 ?
Yes bud. It would be fine for that many people, I like my 365. If you want 5% off use code airborne 😬 the excel scout is also very good which my friend Jason has
@@AirbornePiratesgreat thanks for the reply! I was thinking of either getting the volaire or the 365 but I decide to go with the 365 as I assume it just easier to manage. And the volair has a weird ribbed floor.Ps I have seen your trolling videos for great whites. Im originally from South Africa and I have been diving with great whites …. Trust me if you find one you def don’t want to be in the 365 ;) also if they going to be anywhere it will be near seals 🦭. Anyways keep up the vids I watched them all .
@@ds-works thanks for watching the vids bud! The volaire is supposed to be sketchy and unstable at top end. I’ve never had one myself but I know someone who has. They also do a carbon pro 400 which looks good
I’ve never been asked for anything but I do pay slippage fees which is around £12 per meter per year so for me it works out at 36 per year to use all slips but the only one I know who has ever asked is Douglas 👌
I think you have too much trim down for flat out. Trim the nose up till it starts Porpoising then trim down a notch. That should give you a couple or 3 knots more.
Iv got to stop watching these videos.I nearly bought this boat last night and my finger is still hovering above the buy button.Iv never even been in a boat! Aaarrrggghhhh!!!
Fantastic video, 20knots in choppy seas very good, when using the sub was their lots of small jellyfish or just seaweed and debris.
Great video Matt. Sorry that you came away with a few repairs needed, on the plus side, I learnt some new words today 😀
😂 I won’t ask

Thanks mate, so the GPS marker was defo a little far out!? I’ll give you a shout 😬
I got one ...love it (Zodiac 1980’s) still going strong ..I fo boat camping, fishing, spearfishing!
i think the fifish v evo handles currents better due to the stronger motor, maybe you should sell this and get that one instead.
Yeh I did look into those I quite fancy one 😬

😂😂😂😂
Hey mate, what size is the borika mount on that back?… is it the 800x800?
Great video mate, really enjoyed that watch - hopefully we can meet up on the water again soon!
Can’t wait matey! 😬😬😬
Is there a chance that the dinghy could flip in certain conditions?

Perfect, definitely 15hp as a minimum! You will love it
@@AirbornePirates Magic mate, thanks so much!
Well was it worth all the damage lol the main difference is your boat will still do 20 knots with 4 people in it!!
It’s done 18 with 2 in 😂 but that was considerably worse conditions than today

Many thanks for quick response with regards the engine shaft size is it short for a sib or the std 20 inch many thanks

Twenty knots is fine for skiing! Get the wife in there manning the controls and get the skis on!
I’ve got zero balance 😂
@@AirbornePirates HAHAHAHAHAA!
Can you give us teview of your boat and all its accessories? Thanks for sharing
There is an accessory video on here showing it 🤙
Does it cost anything to use the Laxey slip? I have family in Douglas and thinking about bringing my rib when I visit next Summer.

Cheers mate 😎😎😎
Qs on metal bar, did you made it yourself? What type of mounts are those ?
There is an accessory video where I go through it
Good job on showing all details. Qs pls, what suit do you wear? Is it dry or wetsuit?
Wetsuit salvimar 5.5 nat
Nice Defender 90 by the way
Good job on editing
Getting similar speeds with the same engine on my Honwave T38.
I just got 28mph on the Kat 330
@@AirbornePirates with the 20hp? That's shifting lol
Does the Drone have an simole gyro? It should not dancing around so, is it a shame for this kind of high tech
I think in 2024 the tech we have especially drones are amazing, I cannot complain at the footage this thing takes

Thanks Stuart I’m going to try it on Pin 3 rather than Pin 2 next time

Nice on Matt
