    I've got a Beta XTrainer, have ridden some other Betas (just not the 250) and ride with a bunch of other guys on Betas. There's really not much difference between the RR and Race Edition models. The suspension is the biggest difference, the RR models have open cartridge Sachs suspension and the Race Editions having closed cartridge KYB suspension. The RR models have oil injection, the Race Editions require pre-mix. There's some trick parts on the Race Edition models like billet foot pegs. I think the Race Edition engines have polished ports, but there's no difference with the gearing between respective RR and Race Edition models, that I know of.
    The XTrainer is about 7/8 size compared to any of the RR models. There's practically no difference in the frame of the 200RR and 300RR; they're both full sized dirt bikes. So if size in an issue, the XTrainer is probably a better option than the 200, even with the extra 100cc. The XTrainer is tuned in such a way that the power delivery is extremely linear. The 200 requires the rider to be in the perfect gear while the XTrainer can be put in a gear and left there for most trail riding. You can just ride it and focus on controlling the bike, picking the right line, and all that. So, I'd put a beginner on the XTrainer before putting them on the 200RR or 200 Race Edition. I'd go so far as saying the XTrainer is just as easy to ride as the CRF250F, but it's lighter and has more upgrade potential as the skills grow. It's just a pipe and power valve adjustment away from having the power of the 300RR. The two bikes I'd recommend for older teens or young adults to start with would be the CRF250F or the XTrainer. If they have any visions of getting into super technical stuff, I'd recommend the XTrainer. If not, the CRF250F is what I'd recommend.

    Hey man love videos , im a beginner whos never had a dirt bike , im looking to get a kx 85 do you think this a good bike to start on ? Im not racing just looking to cruise with my buddies

    • @MotocrossHideout
      @MotocrossHideout  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Nathan, thanks for watching! The KX85, as you probably know, is a motocross race bike, so the power is going to be snappy and it will also require more maintenance. If you're using proper techniques and ride within your comfort zone, then you might be able to handle it just fine, but I still recommend a trail bike (such as a CRF150F or KLX140L) because it's easier to ride and won't need as much maintenance.

      @MotocrossHideout right on thanks man I think you're right it's just such a hard decision on wich one would be more fun , if the 2 stroke has too much power for me I wouldn't be using it to its full potential u know what I mean lol

    I have a question. I want good enduro bike that is street legel but i dont know what should i get should i get 125 with ~40hp or should i get 250-300 or should i get bike like honda dominator 650 i want to go trail riding and off road like i want to go on mountains with my friends. So my question is what should i get?

    • @MotocrossHideout
      @MotocrossHideout  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you're riding single-track trails in the mountains, I personally would lean towards a smaller/lighter bike because they're going to be easier to handle.

      @@MotocrossHideout Well i dont know it would be like in forest and all that so i think it would be better to go for smaller and 2t. One more question is how do 125cc engines meke 40hp its feels so much. Also what do you think about honda mtx 125 15hp should i buy that?

    • @MotocrossHideout
      @MotocrossHideout  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's because they are tuned for high RPM power and have very little low-end torque, making it feel "snappy" and harder to ride if you're just cruising around. I don't know much about the MTX 125, but it looks to be more durable/reliable and easier to ride if you're just a casual rider.

    Hey, I'm 6 foot and 220-pound fit, I have some experience riding my buddy's KTM 350(4 hours of ride time). Do you think a KTM 250/300 XCW is too much for a beginner?

    • @MotocrossHideout
      @MotocrossHideout  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the riding you'll be doing, but even at your size I wouldn't recommend it if you're a beginner. Nobody needs that much power riding off-road, especially if you're doing single-track trails.
      Can you handle it? Probably. But you'd have more confidence and greatly reduce your risk of crashing and getting hurt if you started on a "slower" bike, such as the CRF250F or KLX300R.

      @@MotocrossHideout I live in central Texas we have a lot of rocky slow single track, there are also a lot on nice single track but my end goal is to get into enduro.
      Also, I was wondering if the power is too much for me have you ever had any luck with G2 throttle tamers? I heard that they’re pretty good.

    • @MotocrossHideout
      @MotocrossHideout  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Okay, gotcha. I hear this all the time and it's usually because people don't want to "outgrow" their first bike in the first year, which is totally understandable. If that's the case, you should watch this video: th-cam.com/video/ui1-9IJHQnY/w-d-xo.html
      As far as the G2 throttle tamer, yes, it can help smooth out low-end power, but it's really just a "band-aid" fix and will slow down your trail riding skills in the beginning. I hear about guys (and girls) all the time buying a 250, 300, or 350 and then "restricting" it with a throttle tamer or other mods but then they still end up being intimidated by "whiskey throttle".
      The real problem? They haven't learned the basic techniques of trail riding a dirt bike.
      Does that make sense?

      @@MotocrossHideout yeah, I do completely understand to where you will just always be scared of the bike and never ride with confidence but I do think gear plays a factor to this as my buddies told me you were eventually fall no matter what bike you’re riding. However with a bigger bike the crash will be harder because you can whiskey throttle straight to a tree😂. I want to get into riding dirt bikes the right way. I have bought some really top-of-the-line gear to make sure that I don’t injure myself too bad I got sg12 motocross boots, shoei helmet, knee braces and a chest protector, with good rib protection.
      Also, I am a college student and I don’t feel like buying another bike down the road, my budget is around 3 to 4 grand maybe I’ll just wait for a nice used beta X trainer or just get a WR 250f. I’ll see whatever comes up first. Thanks for sharing your insight on this I really do appreciate the detailed comments!

      @MotocrossHideout  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You're welcome - I'm glad you want to start out the right way! That's smart to buy quality gear :)
      I hate getting hurt! 😅
      Yes, you can definitely crash on any bike, but the best way to prevent it is by learning how to properly ride, which is exactly what I coach people on to prevent common crashes.
      If you were a close friend, and absolutely had to get an enduro bike, I'd much rather see you on an Xtrainer than a KTM 250/300. 😉

      Hry Ethan, the wr250f would be a good choice if you can handle the taller seat height and don't mind having less torque right above idle (2000-4000 RPM).
