HD, Full HD, 2K, 4K, 8K and 10K are different screen resolutions, whether for TVs, monitors, among others. They differ by the number of pixels that are displayed on the screen, that is, how many points will form the image. The more pixels, the better the display quality. HD: 1280 x 720 pixels; Full HD: 1920 x 1080 pixels; 2K: 2048 x 1080 pixels; 4K or Ultra HD: 3840 x 2160 pixels; 8K: 7680 x 4320 pixels; 10K: 10240 x 4320 pixels. Size x Resolution When we talk about screens, we need to take into account two measures: size and resolution. While size refers to the physical dimensions of the screen, resolution is the amount of information displayed within these size limits. The screen size is measured by inches, each one being 2.54 centimeters. That is, a smartphone with a 5-inch screen is 12.7 centimeters (5 x 2.54). As the screens are usually rectangular, the measurement is made considering the size of the diagonal. The resolution shows us how many pixels fit on the screen. The pixels are the points that make up the image, and are organized in rows and columns. In this way, the resolution will define how many pixels there are in each row (width) and each column (height). So, saying that a screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 means that it displays 1280 pixels per line and 720 per column. HD (High Definition) The screens of HD resolution, or High Definition, are those of 1280 x 720 pixels, that is, almost 1 million pixels. They are mainly used on widescreen (16: 9) screens. Full HD They have a better image quality than HD, with a 1920 x 1080 aspect ratio, which is equivalent to more than 2 million pixels. They are also suitable for 16: 9 format screens. 2K The 2K resolution, with proportions 2048 x 1080 pixels, is an intermediate version between Full HD and Ultra HD and ends up not being found in the market. 2K is mainly adopted by the DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) film industry. It is generally used for 19: 10 aspect ratio screens. 4K or Ultra HD Although the 3840 x 2160 ratio is the main aspect of this model, the 4K resolution has some variations. One of them is the one adopted by Digital Cinema Initiatives, with a 4096 x 2160 ratio. Another variation found is the Ultra Wide HDTV, 5120 x 2160 pixels. 8K With four times more pixels than 4K, these screens have a resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels. It is also known as Full Ultra HD (FUHD) or 8K UHD. This resolution can be found in different screen proportions, such as: 16: 9 17: 9 21: 9 There is also a variation called 8K Fulldome, with a resolution of 8192 x 8192 pixels. This model is generally used in projection equipment. 10K Currently, 10K is one of the largest resolutions found on the market. It is 10328 × 7760 pixels and is generally found on UltraWide aspect ratio screens, that is, 21: 9.

@@michaelmyersplays4992 That is true, I'm not going to lie. But at the same time Sony need to go back to the realms of the PSP or Vita. The Portal? WHY!!!!!!???????? And okay I get the use case scenarios with the Portal and when you WOULD use it, but at the same time if what I've been hearing is anything to go by (which I believe is ALL true), forget using it on Public Wi-Fi or when you're too far away from your router, because it's laggy. Kind of doesn't make it 'portable' and a 'handheld' if you ask me. The Switch is the true definition of that right now. Okay and maybe the Steam Deck as well, but you get the point.
To be fair, the switch has to do a lot more than the portal does. Streaming just needs a GPU in it that can output the display. MAYBE do the transcoding if that isn't done by the PS5 but I doubt it. So the Switch 2 would have to do a lot more. It has the read, transcode, render, and everything else while the PS5 is doing all the heavy lifting for the Portal. The Switch 2 will likely be more akin to the Steam Deck but underprice it by cutting features like the touch pads, the storage, etc. as-well-as simply having a much beefier behemoth like Nintendo behind it that can tank the loss on hardware better than Valve. It may even not have to be as powerful due to the switch having a dedicated dedicated platform and parity, where the Steam Deck has to run games at different levels. OR they COULD go the route of being just as powerful as the steam deck yet outshining it due to that dedicated platform. Either way, the portal isn't a good comparison for the switch 2, but this screen would b4 nice to have. 1080 is fine however but anything more than 1440 is probably overkill at that size.

The Playstation Portal would be awesome, if it was released back in late 90s or early 2000. Since technology in that time frame was not multi-purpose use and just one dedicated device with no Bluetooth Printing, scanning, faxing and photocopying were all separate products in 80s and 90s. Now they all in one products with wireless connect technology capabilities. Don't get wrong Playstation portal doesn't need to be all-one product, but could had use some more innovation. Some examples, 1)New Playstation 5 Slim with Wifi 6 technology included aswell with new release of Playstation portal. No internet required to play inside the home (connect wifi6). 2)Micro SD card expansion for retro gaming download service of top 25, PSP ,PS1,and PS2 (offline play). A Real Offline portable device and with some features that work without needing the internet to function.3) A improvement of software on Playstation Portal
Y'all expecting a lot for $200.. This isn't 1992 anymore. Did y'all really expect PlayStation to come out with another version of the Vita or PSP that had all those capabilities but allowed people to hack and pirate their video games with ease? If you guys did you haven't really been paying attention..... Apple for years forced people to use their proprietary devices only and how many people really complained to the point where they weren't still buying Apple products... I love how all of a sudden that OLED feels just like a marketing words. I've been feeling the same since day one. The OLED screen IS an upgrade from og Switch for sure, but NOT worth $50. It's a scam. It's a scam to buy it at $50 ($350 for the Switch as a whole) and it's a scam for people who ALREADY own a Switch to buy ANOTHER Switch just because something is a little different. Perfect use of FOMO.

Call Guinness book or world records. Most times screen/screens has ever been said in a TH-cam video.
Take a drink whenever Sean says screen
What? Backbone will work with Switch 2??!?
#1 Nintendo TH-camr with the exclusives lol
How much is the switch light again? And ... a second hand classic switch ? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I actually returned my Backbone for the Logitech G-Cloud which remote plays, and cloud play my Series X, PS5 games really well.
WWf sweater is dope😮😅
Supposedly Sharp are manufacturing the LCD screen for the Switch sucessor.
In any case there will be a superior OLED model if not at release then shortly afterwards.
If you don’t like the new PlayStation portal don’t buy it and stop trying to compare it to the steam deck or the rog ally or even switch they’re not even close to one another can anybody explain why it don’t make sense whatsoever.
The Playstation Portal would be awesome, if it was released back in late 90s or early 2000. Since technology in that time frame was not multi-purpose use and just one dedicated device with no Bluetooth
Printing, scanning, faxing and photocopying were all separate products in 80s and 90s.
I miss the old opening “Hey, RGT85! Oh my guy it’s …!”
It got annoying every video but I think if he did it every 10-15 videos or so it wouldn’t bother me
We'll see in the future!
Love your WWF SWEATER 💙❤️💜💯
What wrestling game is that at 4.09?
Y'all expecting a lot for $200..
This isn't 1992 anymore.
Did y'all really expect PlayStation to come out with another version of the Vita or PSP that had all those capabilities but allowed people to hack and pirate their video games with ease? If you guys did you haven't really been paying attention.....
Apple for years forced people to use their proprietary devices only and how many people really complained to the point where they weren't still buying Apple products...
Why is Sony forcing you to use their own earbuds anything of a surprise..
We have done this to ourselves..
Great video!! I’ve been saying the same things to my boys for the last couple of days. Ever since I played my portal, I felt like this is a peek into nintendos new console screen for sure.
RGT is the best Nintendo detective TH-camr out there
I can already see this happening…. The switch 2 will be cloud gaming only
I dont care what the game looks like if its a fun game. Theres a ton of games that look good but arent even fun. I could care less about 1440 2k and 4k. I just want some fun games. Im still on my 7 year old red box switch and i love it
I'm not buying sometimes that sometimes works for that much money.
U guys r right it been7years for the switch n the year of march of2024 because the switch was released n the year of2017and we don't count the year of 2017 the first year of the switch was 2018 for the anniversary for the first year release so it been at7years the switch and the switch2 will last tell the year of 2027 or maybe longer tell the year of 2033 for the last year of the switch and switch2 tell the next handheld console n release tell the year of 2033
Still waiting for the switch to arrive 😂
Just give me something that I can play my PS3 games on and I'm happy.
What you had to have internet to play The Game. What about on the go?
i think it's more likely someone got an early glimpse of the ps portable and assumed it was the switch2 and that's how the 8" lcd screen rumors started
Something like the backbone looks far superior to the PS Portal.

Could Nintendo also repurpose the Switch as a portal like system for the next Nintendo console? This feature would be enabled as an added value to Nintendo Online.
I want Nintendo to go like Apple. Make a super overpriced device. Super specs all the bells and whistles charge $700 and make it backwards compatible with the Switch. Call it the Super Nintendo Switch. Nintendo will dominate the market and all will be right in the world
backbone if you have small hands its ok otherwise stay away good for children not adults same goes for razerkishi had both waste of time got steam deck instead ,
I'm waiting for the new switch system hope in 2024?
HDR
Oled is not really better than a Mini LED screen or QLED. I just bought a 55 inch TV that is mini led and it's beautiful. It's an upgrade in colours and contrast to a regular led screen. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Mini led is still expensive lol
Oled just got cheaper nowadays
Oled is in a different league dude
@@johnhall8564 Oled is overrated and is so 2020. Mini Led is better.
BS OLED is superior to Mini LED which is just LCD just like QLED is. Yet you don’t even know that because your a normie without technical knowledge.
@@flexingmecha " dumb" is subjective though.
I just don’t want a double screen.
Double the better 😉
I highly disagree if done right.
I got a backbone LAST NIGHT. It's epic
I think that PlayStation portals always the money. If I have to use the internet whenever. I play it can't really take it anywhere
I really wish Nintendo would make Joy Cons with full grip I'm almost tempted to cut my Pro Controller in half( if you and spawn wave developed a prototype and called it the rgt wave I bet hyperkin or hori would get behind it )
I love how all of a sudden that OLED feels just like a marketing words.
Still thinking the next Nintendo is Switch 2 when the name Switch is dead you think the next Xbox will be called Xbox series X 2 when it’s not I hope the next Nintendo doesn’t look anywhere like the Switch or it will be weak Nintendo got 10 years to have call of duty they need a powerful hardware to run call of duty not just call of duty so many other games
I hope the switch 2 at least comes with a 90 hertz refresh rate instead of just 60
I bet a new psp vita would sell better
This guy is running out of content 💯
Definitely lol
