Got one after months of communication with the seller. Mine originally got “lost” in post. Got it and it’s loaded with outdated emulators. Many Xbox games are actually ps2 games. The rom collection is decent though if you have up to date emulators. That’s how I use mine.
I have watched other videos about the drive and it appears that this a newer version of the drive where they updated some things that people were complaining about.
It has Eternal Darkness for Gamecube, the number 1 reason to have a Gamecube right there AND it has Winning Post for Sega Saturn, possibly the best Horse Racing game ever made...those 2 are almost never included on these big collections! Definitely seems worth it to just plug and play on a decent PC. Will have to look into getting one and seeing what all it has and doesn't have...and what I will need to hunt down!

I love that front end, Hyperspin. I made my own "mini arcade/console" using a mini PC personally, but just chose the games I played as a kid or remember... so it's a 300-400 game collection rather than thousands of games I'd be browsing forever XD

I have about 3000 to 4000 games and that's more than enough. I bought my Deck used for 300 and upgraded it to a 1tb hd. I still have 300 gb's left.
PSA: the Amazon link in the description is for the previous build. I ended up returning it and ordering the latest one via AliExpress.
Do you have a link for the latest one?
I’ve went to their website site this is the only one they have which latest one are you talking about?
Comprehensive Video Game History on ONE drive. Crazy!
If anything he is being a whistle blower 😂
More like a buster
@@th3rd3arplan3tradio
I agree, because he just screwed the people behind this. I'm sorry, but this hard drive is the kind of thing we all need right now. With the industry turning against gamers this kind of thing levels the playing field.
@@Sinn0100 yeah but they doing dumb stuff by putting it on amazon like youtubers like this guy wouldn't notice it.

Thinking about buying one to use with my Unico Nova Blast when it comes. The problem is it looks like this drive was confugured for 16:9 displays and the Nova Blast has a 4:3. Im sure I could probably configure things like taking off the bezels and the like though. Thanks for the look at this huge drive.
*Edit*
Just ordered one through KinHank. The Amazon link was sold out. Paid the extra 20 for faster shipping. (2 weeks or less). Thanks again!
Check Chris Shaw or Chris koolmod. Both sell drives. Some are multiple drives up to 96tybte
Bro, how does this guy have two completely original channels going at once?!
I got one to a few months ago.... idk how they're able to sell it, especially on Amazon 😂
I would never put this into my main computer. I feel like this is a easy way to get your identity stolen.
This is like having you own personal Video Game Archival Museum.

Sick! I'm getting 1! Seen a few videos on this 12tb unit and Im very impressed by this collection like christ the time that must've been invested into this holy! This i absolutely need!
I just need to know as if Sega Saturn version of Castlevania Symphony of the Night is on there.
I didn’t even know this was a thing
@@citizenpunx Yep the Sega Saturn version has a few exclusive areas such as the unground garden and the lost prison
I wonder if it has Martial Masters. It's an old arcade game that never transitioned to consoles.
Honestly, even though I know you exposed these guys for Sony and Nintendo to take them down legally soon, I gotta still say, this 12TB hard drive is basically a brilliant resistance to the corporate bulls**t that has taken over the industry.
Other people have been making videos on these for a few years already. The retro drives and consoles come from China.
@@KILRtv interesting, better ask Muta to test a couple of these on a virtual machine. 👌
You're right on that. Digitally owned games should be the same proprietary than a physical buy, with it's "full" content in there.
21:30 “I’m not sure if you heard of this system before” we do buddy
I love that front end, Hyperspin. I made my own "mini arcade/console" using a mini PC personally, but just chose the games I played as a kid or remember... so it's a 300-400 game collection rather than thousands of games I'd be browsing forever XD
I mean anyone conplaining about the price... hypothetically you could buy and resell this unit and not even lose out. Everything can be copied.
And anyone who has set up a launchbox/emulation station... even retroarch... it's an insane time sink
Thanks for making this vid i will for sure get this someday soon has all the classics im a 80's baby so i was born when video games started. So i have alot of history with these games and some i didnt get to play that i always wanted to and now i can
The real question is how do you convert it to a format that Xbox Series X can read without deleting the information on it. 😅 Please help somebody out and make a video that way.
Impossible unfortunately.
It would be cool if we could have one of those for the TV
12TB. Daaaaang 😮
I saw Digimon World 4 in the gamecube lineup. I've been looking for that game forever. Had it on the original XBOX. Always wanted the SW rogue squadron sequels, too.
Imagine if you could plug that hard drive into a xbox series x or ps5 and play all the games thatd be legendary
Once jailbreak hits for PS5 shouldn't be an issue then.
@@garystinten9339nah chill, no jailbreak 😂
Why when you could just build a PC that's significantly better for not much more. You can literally use the controllers on PC
@fillerbunnyninjashark271 I have a xbox series x so that's where I want my games I'm 41 I been gaming on console my entire life yes pc is better in ways etc but it's not for me finances lack of room for a PC especially chair multiple monitors wheel pedals etc so it just don't work for me

Just to let you know there’s some extra software on there. Buyer beware. I have one and love it.

I'd get one of these drives just to have all the ROMs and set a separate drive up with just the games I'd want to play. Definitely worth the money just for not having to download everything or if you can even find it.
Wish we could see how the games run
Depends on your PC, there is a lot of frame-time latency and jitter, screen tearing, the usual soft emulation suspects, it's just a front end with a scrapped list of ROMS and ISO's.
Did you forget to watch? He showed off a number of them.
@@Wobble2007 Yeah, there's no 'special sauce' to this, just look up whatever game you want to see emulated on TH-cam and you'll probably get an idea how it's going to run if the PC you connect it to can handle it. Regardless I wouldn't recommend buying this and I REALLY wouldn't recommend running any executables from it.
your video editing skills are superb, what a visual treat!
I was pretty interested in buying this by the time he got the Switch....
But then I notice that it is not available on Amazon. So, I tried the website... and yeah this is a dope collection of games, but I was not expecting for that price tag haha. $260 definitely caught me off guard, but now that I think about it, a 12TB hard drive, without a billion games on it, would still cost (I'm assuming) like $200+
In ali express it cost 190$ lol
When a mini PC is able to run these games reasonably I'm tempted to buy a cheap rig and one of these hard drives. Granted that PC will never be hooked up to the internet and it would be solely used for emulation.
The drive gets flagged because believe it or not, they have malware on them. I sincerely hope this was done in a VM
Shut up
You sure? Many of them don't and get flagged because of the cracked PC copies.
Would you care to name the malware you found? Or it didnt happen. Everyone can just spout that out

The good thing about retroFE (Core) is you can install additional games if you wish.

Are you able to access the ROM's/ISO's directly? Like can I use this to put the games on my other drives as backup if needed or am I locked out of them
I would like to know too.
Also it's it really 12tb? I bought some before and they was only 50gb and with software manipulation it would read as a 2tb.

Could I in theory extract the arcade roms from here and use them for my soft modded arcade 1 up???
yes. absolutely

I remember before you were doing emulation on this channel. I saw when you pivoted from collecting and sold the collection. I saw your health troubles. I unsubscribed for some reason. Oh, yeah, I remember. It was because you kept calling yourself the king of emulation. However, I'm always returning here. I'm still highly enjoying the Beelink you recommended a year ago. I ordered a hard drive you recommended as well. You do have an influence on the population.
I already had everything I really needed on my computers by downloading and configuring everything on my own, manually. I did that years ago, but that hard drive you recommended was packed with so many games that I would never have time to download those myself, even after many years of collecting ROMs. I copied the 2TB drive you recommended to another 4TB drive that I own and I use it as a backup.

I was just wishing for something like this as I'm not very tech savvy! I will not ignore fate! Perfect timing! 😂
Ahh, I read the comments and watched the installation video disabling the anti-virus and I'm too scared now! Would I be better off buying an all-in-one Retropie? Any suggestions appreciated!
Its worth it just to have the games for archiving with all the takedowns of roms and emulators these days!!
That's why I got mine (previous version of this drive). I'll never go through them all, and many I'll just play once.
