@@continental_consumer the only usage of storage memory is to download games. 256GB is larger than most cellphone storages now. If they can cut back the cost of the consoles by 30 bucks, it would be so attractive to consumers. They could choose to out their foot down and say physical media all the way. Nintendo has the bargaining chips to dp so. Instead of $400, it releases with $370.
I mean most devs are making for the Series S anyway and dropping the resolution a little to account for whatever slight difference there is may be just easy enough to port modern games to it and have them upscaled to an impressive image with plenty of frames coming in. Idk why people complaining. As an rtx owner (first was 2060 super and current is 3080) I know first hand what dlss does. It's fucking godtier upscaling that doesn't affect performance. This means they have an advantage in playing catch-up. And most consumers will take that clear upscaled visual over native because it is also portable. This should worry Xbox and PlayStation imo. Because it puts them close enough to receive the same games and dlss is good enough to satisfy the majority of gamers. I say that as a PC gamer. 😂

As long as the ram is double what’s in the Xbox series S. Xbox Series S specs. 10 GB of RAM. 512 GB storage drive (360 GB of usable space) or 1 TB storage drive, depending on the model. 224 GB/s of memory bandwidth. 4 TFLOPS. If the Nintendo can double that then everything else the Nintendo is doing is fine it doesn’t matter if it’s the highest specs in the world.
Key word is "just." Not "instead of" which has been Nintendo's mantra since the Wii. You _can_ have both innovation and bleeding-edge performance. In fact, we almost did. Initially the Wii (at the time code-named 'Nintendo Revolution') was going to compete with the PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 in power. However, Iwata said that he wanted a low-profile console that was affordable, and small enough to fit on any coffee table. The size of about 3 DVD cases stacked together. Obviously, you cannot get PS3/360 level power (at that time) in such a small package. Even at the size that they were, both the PS3 and 360 had cooling issues leading RROD, YLOD, BLOD, etc. The reason why I said they could have had both is because of the price. The XBOX 360 core system (no HDD) was $299. The 20GB HDD XBOX 360 was $399. The Wii was $199. Making the console on-par or even somewhere in the neighborhood of the 360 would NOT have made it more expensive. Nintendo was just trying to be greedy not wanting to sell the console at a loss, but like in all cases greed clouds your judgment and stops you from bigger blessing later. People didn't care about the Wii being cheaper. They cared about he motion-control and they would have paid whether it cost to play that. Had the Wii of been HD, after the novelty of motion-control wore off, they still would have had an HD system capable of playing all the games that the 360 and PS3 were and thus the Wii probably would have been best-selling console of all-time. Trying to be greedy they played themselves. Just like they did with he N64 and GameCube.

I feel like this is kind of a stupid question. We’ve playing on the super underpowered switch for quite a few years, it’s obvious we don’t really care about graphical horsepower.
Yeah they are too stupid to understand this. Then they come with the steam deck. "just emulate the switch games". Yeah let me emulate ACNH and visit my friends online. Oh wait...
True. I trust Nintendo enough to give playable experiences. At same time, I would like them to not cut it so close like they did with the Switch many times.
Of course u will, but some people like to play Nintendo games and more hardcore mainstream games like cod and Madden. Some want the best of both worlds. I just buy Nintendo for Nintendo games and Xbox and ps5 for those games. That said, we would still like to see Nintendo games look as gorgeous as possible.
This still won’t be as powerful as the Ally X. Literally don’t understand the hype. I have the entire Switch library on my Ally X lol. I’ll buy the Switch 2 just to mod it to it’s actual abilities 😊
Considering that devs could create some amazing looking games on the original switch, such as alien isolation and grid auto sport, we'll be seeing some pretty nice graphics on the Switch 2.
I've only just playing BoTW for the first time. I'm blown away by how good the game looks, sounds and plays. It's incredible. I also have a PS5 and nothing I've played comes close to BoTW on my Switch OLED. To think just how good games will look, and play, on the Switch 2, has me incredibly excited. No one makes games like Nintendo. Specs alone mean nothing. 💥
Lol no its not, its better than expected actually, we expected PS4 specs, but its closer to a Xbox Series S. Specially the 12gb of RAM are a very pleasant surprise and will give the console a longevity on the market. File decompression, DLSS, 12gb of RAM... This is the most future proof Nintendo console todate and will easily be around for 8+ years.
@@Kira_Kovalyova The reason for that is the OS’s overhead, Nintendo known to make their console OS have very little impact on memory and performance. And well, microsoft made Windows, that should tell you enough.
I hope the leak is legit. I really just want the Switch 2. Bigger screen, PS4 like power, $400 price tag. Its perfect. It doesn't need to be as strong as the PS5. I bet most people can't even tell the difference in a side by side comparison of PS4 and PS5 gameplay. This is the right move, hope its not some wild Nintendo swing, just keep it simple.
That's the thing, graphics have not gotten that better. Stronger hardware these days are mostly used for larger open worlds. At some point those larger worlds have the problem of having empty spaces.

If it sells like switch 1 then they port everything. This whole thing about power is nonsense. Sales dictate the effort to port. If they believe they can sell millions on the switch 2 then they will find a way to port it plain and simple.
For real, Sunshine is a masterpiece and speed running juggernaut. I will never understand the hate for it. I think Galaxy controls like garbage with almost no momentum carryover in its movement, but Sunshine gets all the hate for some reason.
These specs sound fantastic. Can you just imagine the worlds that the Mario team and Zelda teams will build woth this power. Its got me excited. Plus getting to that PS4 - PS4 pro lvl of power means it will be alot easier and i think we will all be shocked at how good some of these 3rd party ports will end up looking on switch 2.

How long does Nintendo expect the Switch 2 run to last? 7-8 years like the current switch or more like 5-6 years? There are a lot of previous generation 3rd party ports that never made it to the switch due to it's limitations. The Switch 2 will have no problem running those games.
A hybrid console for Nintendo seems the best for them righg now they should honestly try to make it a permanent thing like how xbox or sony just makes more powerful consoles they should just make more powerful switches.

Nintendo has managed some impressive ways to make newer games work on outdated hardware. The takeaway here is that Nintendo will be releasing something that won't cost $700.
This is actually PERFECT. We need to remember that Nintendo in particular goes by a specific philosophy when it comes to their games. They've been doing this ever sense the non-colored gameboy. At that point, there were already better performing handhelds than the gameboy. But the gameboy outlived them all and still sold the most.
If it has the power of a PS4 in handheld mode. It's an accomplishment by itself. It will have similar power to the Steam Deck with less power draw. Also you can't take away the fact that developers will optimize their games to run on this console. The Steam Deck uses the PC version of the games. I think I will be an amazing console. If they can get the $399 price tag on it. I will be unbeatable.

As someone who plays on both PC and Switch, all I want from this thing is a backwards compatible system with a reasonable power boost that's roughly on par with a Steam Deck that's not going to bog down at the sight of a couple particles and that doesn't force any visually appealing game to run at 30fp. If Valve managed to pull that off 2 years ago, I'm sure Nintendo can do it as well. Maybe an ergonomics update for the woefully uncomfortable joycons would be appreciated as well, but nothing to reinvent the wheel is necessary for me.
Seeing as how the Switch won the “console war” despite being derided as woefully underpowered for this generation and the massive backlash the PS5 pro is getting for graphics looking no better than base PS5 (and I’d argue insignificantly better than PS4 pro) I’m not at all worried. Until we get to “Ready Player One” levels of immersion, we’re officially in the area of diminishing graphical returns.
I think that companies (3rd party) who really want to hit peak sales numbers are going to have to target the new Nintendo console. The specs sound good enough to make this appealing to those companies (especially companies like square enix) and for that reason, I think it will definitely have the 3rd party games to fill in the gaps between their first parties on the new console.
Well, about the specs, I don't really bother if you looking a deal 10 years with Microsoft about Call of Duty Microsoft and Nintendo have now negotiated and signed a binding 10-year legal agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo players - the same day as Xbox, with full feature and content parity That's mean next gen Nintendo is more powerful than original switch and can compete with current gen from Playstation and Xbox
I've been mainly an Xbox gamer for the past 18 years or so. But since the launch of the Series X, raw power has done pretty much nothing for me. When I finally tried Super Mario Odyssey, 7 years after it released, I was quite blown away by how good a game that was... seeing how little Sony and Microsoft have achieved with all that horsepower, I'm way more excited for the Switch 2 than anything else, no matter the specs.
I JUST watched an ETA Prime video where he's playing God of War Ragnarok at an AVERAGE 62 fps..as long as game devs keep optimizing the games they make for the Switch 2, it should be an awesome experience... I'm definitely gonna get the new Nintendo console..probably not a PS5 pro..
5:43 - DLSS isn't really the kind of AI that I think is worrying. It's really not trying to emulate human thought - it's just mapping one set of pixels to another set of pixels. It's not trying to understand context or anything like that.

Great video RGT, you cover a lot of topics in relation to the Switch successor. I’ve got so many opinions on what you had to say, so I’m glad you triggered some critical thinking! Overall, the Switch 2 has a couple of mandatory features we want as Gamers: backwards compatibility for our Switch library, a “boost mode” for said Switch 1 games, 1st party titles that take advantage of the new hardware, a bigger battery, OLED display being standard, and Xenoblade Chronicles X 😂😂😂
At the end, as many times said in the channel, all comes down to how enjoyable a game is. The Switch showed that power isn’t all to make a great console, mainly if it is a handheld. Great video really enjoyed it!
I think if they can hit PS4 or better performance, yes is more than enough. We are talking about a handheld, anyone who expects PS5 performance on a handheld has lost touch with reality.
@@barcster2003 Yep and I think Nintendo's own IP's will most likely be native 1080p 60fps unless we are talking about your Bayonetta, Xenoblade, Metroid... That will push the system. The Switch 1 was also never really portable like the DS or 3DS so it doesn't bother me I also own a Steam Deck so yeah. 8 inch 1080p screen is totally fine and I hope Nintendo sticks to Nvidia hardware and yes Nvidia is not my favorite company by far but I can't deny that DLSS is much better than any other upscaling solution, be it FSR, Intels solution and PlayStation's old checkerboard rendering, no idea how their new PS5 resolution upscaler will look like, very interested in that one as well.

@@BrocktaviusKingofNFCI can confirm. Ive had a steam deck and its huge. Not saying its a bad thing but its a bit massive for a console that is mainly targeted towards children.
The only Nintendo system where I remember being disappointed with the technical specifications or the graphics was the Wii. You can use component cables (I bought a premium third party brand), but I believe the maximum resolution tops out at 480p/16:9 aspect ratio (?). That seemed to be the same generation as PS3 and X-box 360, where those consoles were probably getting into 720p or 1080i territory. Plus, their online services seemed a little more robust. Somehow, the Wii was considered a “commercial success” (based on units sold), and the Wii U (maybe my favorite Nintendo console from any generation) barely sold 13,000,000 or 14,000,000 units. I think the Virtual Console was a little better on the Wii. Plus, my Wii had GameCube emulation (for the physical discs), and four controller ports built in. Ideally, if they had kept all that backwards compatibility with the Wii U (I never ended up transferring my Wii save files to the U), with the GameCube controller ports (you need a separate adapter), plus the HD graphics, and occasionally playing a game that made good use of the tablet/second screen - that would be the perfect Nintendo console, IMO. Wii remote compatibility is OK, too. The joy-cons basically seem to be miniature Wiimotes with motion sensors. In my current Switch library, I don’t know which game has the most up to date graphics, or would put a strain on the Switch hardware (considered to be “outdated” in 2024). I have “Arms.” It looks like Wii U or better graphically. The art style doesn’t need it to look like a photo or a movie. “Street Fighter” collection is probably emulators of older hardware and arcade cabinets. “Metroid Dread”: it’s a 2-D or 2.5D perspective with some really detailed cutscenes. “Cowabunga Collection” should be emulators. “Double Dragon Neon”: was a PS4/Xbox One game ported to Switch several years after the original release? Sega Classics (emulation). “Shredder’s Revenge”: pixel art, or designed to look “retro.” I haven’t played “TotK” yet. It looks like they reused some of the engine or the map and assets from “Breath of the Wild,” which was originally going to be a Wii U exclusive? So, I don’t know. It seems like I’m playing more retro games, or modern games that are designed to look retro or more simple. I have most of the Wii U games that got ported over to the Switch (it looks like a few of the remakes got some added content in the Switch version). Maybe my tastes are too simple, or just right for Nintendo’s target demographic? I plan to eventually buy a 4K TV set. The prices for OLED screens have become more reasonable over time. Sorry for the long comment. Wanted to increase engagement for this video.
@@TXetc yeah. I’ve just unsubbed from your channel bro.🤣🤣 I get it though, it was different. And I think that’s why I liked it. Sometimes I get tired of the same old thing ya know. But, this is why I’m glad we got so many games to choose from, choice is good.☺️
Thank you. 😂 These fools think that Nintendo is after graphical power. Look at Xbox and Sony. Long dev time, 60% unhappy fans, overpriced consoles, uncompleted games, dlc, microtransactions, early access, pre-order promises broken or misled. And yes I'm a Nintendo fan since good old SNES and GB.
You can only go so far with how underpowered Nintendo hardware can be before even innovative games struggle to run on it. Imagine if Nintendo decided to stick with the Nintendo DS today. Would TotK even be able to run on that system?
@johnsyrup7323 excuse me, Nintendo is always innovative. People are just jealous or upset that Nintendo won't open their IPs to their competitors. For what? Look at all the studios they bought and tarnish those small devs to bankruptcy or dissolve their staff. As along as the the art designer can give us great illustrations like BotW or Mario Odyssey. There's no complaints from me.
Moreover it is going to kill the PS5 and hurt the PS6 enough before it comes out that Sony is in serious trouble. Sony’s game division will be dead by the PS7, that will be their Dreamcast.
Doubt the PS6 do well unless they actually do something with the it (for example, make the PSP3 instead of the PS6 and return to the it when its actually possible to make it cheaply and with new innovations)
The Switch main bottleneck is usually memory bandwidth. Switch 2 will have 4X the memory bandwidth, 3X the RAM, and >20X the storage bandwidth(compared to cart or sd card). Those are the exciting numbers to me in terms of what Nintendo will be able to take advantage of with games like TotK. Remember BotW and TotK were streaming, open-world games pulled off with a "measly" 100MB/s(ballpark for cart/sd with cart being less maybe) of storage transfer.. Not only will Switch 2 almost have enough RAM to fit the whole cart in memory, but it will have 2.xGB/s of storage bandwidth for streaming assets. It's clear based on BotW, TotK, Bowser's Fury, BotW 4K and Matrix demo they gave, and the Zelda team's remarks that they are leaning into games built on streaming open worlds. It's hard to even imagine how much extra their new games will be with the new specs.
Most modern games on Xbox/PS/PC are heavily under-optimised to hit their launch deadlines - i don't care what people say - it's the darn reality, get used to it. When you develop specifically for a hand-held device though, you have different quality standards that have to be met. You can't expect the raw brute-force performance of the hardware to do all the heavy lifting for you. If Nintendo continues its trend, I see it surpass PlayStation/Xbox in terms of software quality and gaming user experience. We are definitely buying the Nintendo Switch2 - we'll skip the PS5 Pro since we already have x2 PCs and x2 PS5.
I’m excited cuz we’re at a point with mobile SOC tech that Switch 2 technically being underpowered still means that it can be equivalent to a last gen console in terms of compute. Think about all the gorgeous games we got last generation, and the fact that that caliber of visuals is now possible on a Nintendo console. This about to be a special system
Too weak? Look at what they did with the Switch. Additionally, we can all agree game budgets are out of control. Games need to scale down, not up, and if the next Switch is relative to a PS4 that puts it in the sweet spot.
for it to wok at the suggested teraflops; the doc would have to handle any upscalling without the actual console's cpu assisting. As well as native 1080 inhandheld mode, might also be no go due to wanting the console to use more bandwidth for better online cnnectivity and to allow developers to port games withuut cutting atmospheric/immersive/color features while still allowing games to have thier max render distance and be at 60fps.
If this means that it can run elden ring, that's as good as I'd want it. Nintendo will never be as powerful as the new gen consoles because they've found their niche in hybrid consoles that are about a generation behind in terms of power
The switch could almost run Elden Ring, really just needed a little bit more CPU performance and a tiny bit more GPU. The Witcher 3 runs on the switch, not pretty, but it does run. Switch 2 is going to be very impressive for what it is.
Focusing exclusively on DLSS while completely ignoring the ARM platform is a mistake. Watt for Watt, ARM designs are much more efficient & powerful than x86. Consequently the clock speed on this thing will be a significant factor to overall performance and we don’t know that yet.
I think the actual point of the Switch 2 is that you will have great games, aswell as retrocompatibilidade. I've been thinking: what if the Switch 2 uses DLSS to enhance Switch 1 games? It would be awesome!
@meatbasedvegan4859 My personal experience would be to run the original Breath of the Wild using DLSS on Switch 2. Played that on both consoles, and imagine the leap in experience.
The thing I'm most excited about is that Nintendo surely realizes this. They have almost certainly been working on a new 3D Zelda game for years now, and the Mario for even longer.
1536 graphic cores (that's 10x the original) about 20% more than the Series S. Processor 8-Core around 3.0-3.3 GHz (bellow Series S/X above One X) 12gb ram (2 more than XSS) LPDDR5X. UFS 3.1 storage.
I have no issue with the power. We've got 2 powerful consoles with the 5 and X and 0 games. Nintendo always finds a way to make their games enjoyable. I'll take that over a high-tech paper weight.
Stronger than PS4 before DLSS in handheld mode would be very good, if its true, its just rumors. We still don't know the node or how high the chip is clocked in both modes. I mean Steamdeck runs on like 1,3 teraflops in games, it could do more on paper, but in reality and on battery its like 1,2-1,4tflops i read. Its a bit under PS4 performance and needs more energy than the Switch 2 handheldmode will have available. Everything around PS4 Pro performance before DLSS ion docked mode (with more modern tech) would be nice too, Nintendos games will really shine on that thing. Also it would allow much more multiplattform games, i don't know if i need a new Sony console in the next years, cause Switch 2 will get most japanese games in good enough image quality. I mean even Sonyfans like Falcom or the Yakuza Devs (that hated Nintendo for a long time) make Switchgames now, even exclusives like Trails in the Sky Remake. Or Atlus, there will be nothing specswise that keeps any big JRPG away.
If you bought the switch at launch and do it again for the switch 2, then you would have spent around $850 USD of next year’s money to have the ability to play video games for at least 16 years. That’s less than $55 a year, less than $5 per month for a current Nintendo console. That’s INSANE value.
And that’s not even considering that there’s a good chance of backwards compatibility and you might be able to sell your first switch, which has also minimally depreciated compared to other consoles.
@@BenEmmerson-d2t Also, you don’t need to purchase a separate drive or pay a premium for a version that is capable of playing physical games. You have the option to buy a game enjoy it for as long as you want and then sell it or swap it for minimal loss or preserve it forever. Nintendo games only gain appreciation with time, and in some cases you will end up with more value than what you paid for. That’s worth the extra price imo.
Most people buy Nintendo for their first party games because the games are so fun. The new gaming system for Nintendo is going be weaker then what’s currently out, but it’s going to be substantially more powerful then the switch “Based off of what’s being said about it hardware wise?” From 1080p to 1440 “or also called 2.5K” is actually a very visually noticeable difference, but the switch from 2.5K to 4K is when it starts to be questionable in the returns department. I’m excited about having better hardware so that not only their games look better, but that it runs more smoothly. The reason why many of their games still look so good at 1080p is because their Art Design is literally some of the best in the industry. I can’t wait to see what will happen next for game design/development with better hardware.

"Please understand, I am not trying to say technology isn't important, but if we are just focusing on technology, we will not succeed" ~ Satoru Iwata
Iwata's philosophy still rings true today
Ps5 has hardly no games for it but it's got important technology. Switch is far behind in technology but is still getting new games faster. I got both so it doesn't matter I get to enjoy it all
if you just focus' on ANY one thing you will not succeed, no wonder iwata failed with the 3ds and wii u

“You could not live with your own failure, where did that bring you? Back to me”
The only Nintendo system where I remember being disappointed with the technical specifications or the graphics was the Wii.
I almost unsubscribed when he talked trash about Mario Sunshine!!!😠😏
Great game there
I've played every Mario game since the original and couldn't stand Sunshine lol
@@TXetc yeah. I’ve just unsubbed from your channel bro.🤣🤣 I get it though, it was different. And I think that’s why I liked it. Sometimes I get tired of the same old thing ya know. But, this is why I’m glad we got so many games to choose from, choice is good.☺️

With nintendo i really dont care if it compares with the ps5 pro or ps6. All i want is banger nintendo titles
You don't buy Nintendo for specs you buy it for quality games and innovation
Thank you. 😂 These fools think that Nintendo is after graphical power. Look at Xbox and Sony. Long dev time, 60% unhappy fans, overpriced consoles, uncompleted games, dlc, microtransactions, early access, pre-order promises broken or misled. And yes I'm a Nintendo fan since good old SNES and GB.
great comment. bang on!!
Exactly I don’t want what PlayStation have
Switch 2 being on the same power as PS4 combined with Zelda, Mario and handheld mode, it's going to kill both PS6 and Xbox easily
Moreover it is going to kill the PS5 and hurt the PS6 enough before it comes out that Sony is in serious trouble.
Sony’s game division will be dead by the PS7, that will be their Dreamcast.
Sony themself is killing the PS5 and maybe even the PS6 if they keep investing in live service games and remasters of games that still look great
Just for 2 games? Ps has been way ahead for a long time only have 2 franchises doesn't make the switch better
Doubt the PS6 do well unless they actually do something with the it (for example, make the PSP3 instead of the PS6 and return to the it when its actually possible to make it cheaply and with new innovations)
No it won’t don’t be a nintendroid
But just cause 2 has a 400 sq mile map on an Xbox 360 and looks just fine..
The KING of Nintendo and his bread and butter Nintendo videos!! Only another 2 maybe 3K Nintendo videos till it debuts!!
Let's be real. If you bought a Switch, which came with a mobile chip, you're buying a Switch 2.
You damn right!
It's refreshing to see someone who understands how console hardware actually works, beyond simple numbers. Good analysis!
Nintendo gonna reveal Switch 2 only after the Holiday season….. which means, early 2025.
@@What_In_This_World the switch only has 4gb of ram and the pc version says it needs at least 12. Is the pc version really that unoptimised? XD
Yup, it can run elden ring surey at 1080p60fps, and 2k or 4k with dlss
Focusing exclusively on DLSS while completely ignoring the ARM platform is a mistake. Watt for Watt, ARM designs are much more efficient & powerful than x86.
Consequently the clock speed on this thing will be a significant factor to overall performance and we don’t know that yet.
I've got a OLED which suits me just fine. To buy the 'Switch 2' it would be because of a game I really wanted that would only be on the new console.
Your current switch games would run and look better on it
It's a win win for both sides
The thing I'm most excited about is that Nintendo surely realizes this. They have almost certainly been working on a new 3D Zelda game for years now, and the Mario for even longer.
@@rapzid3536 I think it's an new Mario game. They need something big to launch, and that or Metroid Prime would be huge
i think this is good news... as it tells me they will also maintain an emphasis on 2-D platformers; which i think is fantastic.
I'm buying it regardless💁♂️
The specs look fine to me. If there's full backwards compatibility and 4K output in docked mode, I'm set.
The specs are known for almost 2 years and he makes now a video about it 😂😂
uh yeah
I smell a troll!!
Those specs are rumors and leaks so technically the spec's aren't known yet
@@Retrogamershaun
Yes they are, but ts fine, you TH-cam and Twitter users aren't known for being smart, not by a long shot.
"Specs are known"
You don't know what "Rumor" is, do you?
1536 graphic cores (that's 10x the original) about 20% more than the Series S.
Processor 8-Core around 3.0-3.3 GHz (bellow Series S/X above One X)
12gb ram (2 more than XSS) LPDDR5X. UFS 3.1 storage.
No one cares about it being weaker than current gen.
Folks just want to play fun games again
I care.
Yet the fanbase will screetch for ports of current gen games and they aren’t coming because it can’t handle it. Just like with the current Switch.
@@LakesideAmusementPro i dont see people screeching for new games ports, just old games ports, like older pokemon games for example.
I have no issue with the power. We've got 2 powerful consoles with the 5 and X and 0 games. Nintendo always finds a way to make their games enjoyable. I'll take that over a high-tech paper weight.
Gaming never needed to go beyond PS4 level anyway, it's all diminishing returns from then on out, as we're seeing with the PS5 and XSX.
@@rodrigo53 what about the games for it, they’re like £30 each
How much do you think the switch 2 will cost?
@@BenEmmerson-d2t Also, you don’t need to purchase a separate drive or pay a premium for a version that is capable of playing physical games. You have the option to buy a game enjoy it for as long as you want and then sell it or swap it for minimal loss or preserve it forever.
Nintendo games only gain appreciation with time, and in some cases you will end up with more value than what you paid for.
That’s worth the extra price imo.

Specs are great, im more hyped about the change from Arm-A57 which was from 2013 to A78, which is from 2020. It is a lot more up to date.
Look man, non of these pc handhelds can last for hours, so why expect something more powerful. Nintendo is the master of optimizing a handheld.
Most people buy Nintendo for their first party games because the games are so fun.
The new gaming system for Nintendo is going be weaker then what’s currently out, but it’s going to be substantially more powerful then the switch “Based off of what’s being said about it hardware wise?”
From 1080p to 1440 “or also called 2.5K” is actually a very visually noticeable difference, but the switch from 2.5K to 4K is when it starts to be questionable in the returns department.
I’m excited about having better hardware so that not only their games look better, but that it runs more smoothly.
The reason why many of their games still look so good at 1080p is because their Art Design is literally some of the best in the industry.
I can’t wait to see what will happen next for game design/development with better hardware.
Ps4 with DLSS handheld and PS4 Pro with DLSS docked?.. how is that weak for a rumoured $399 console?
I can appreciate everything you’re saying I think the right way to pose the question is what do we do with what we have and how many people are going to buy it
It's not too weak it's decent...not at the level of PS5 or series X .. docked upscaling 4k with ray tracing 30fps .. handheld.. 1080p 60fps with dlss..
Yeah I'm fine with those specs. Mario Kart/Metroid/Smash will look absolutely glorious.
