I was diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia 16 yrs ago.Inititally, I got a virus that paralyzed me for 8 days .It came on quickly after 1 glass of homemade white wine, while everyone else threw up.I just happened to be the DD because I'm not a drinker. What I found interesting is that I was also diagnosed with CRPS. Burns all over my body. After getting this horrible autoimmune I stopped getting head colds. It's been 20 years and for some reason I do not get head colds anymore. I used to suffer horrendous bronchitis or pneumonia. I chose not to be vaccinated and tne covid I got was very mild twice. I chose herd immunity. I tried Dr Terry, Wahl Protocol and was able to reduce flares, burns and inflammatory markers by 80% . I was eating. It's of broccoli. Also I believe that I got sick from 64 neighbors above us sprayed their lawns with insecticides and pesticides, killing their dandelions. It. landed on my vegetable garden and I popped a snap pea into my mouth and it burned my tongue.

7:00 So broccoli sprouts only have about 3 times as much glucoraphanin as broccoli? I thought it was in the order of dozens of times higher, but maybe I am misremembering.
its between 3-10x it all depends on the seed and handling. And then you can increase it by deactivating certain proteins that convert GR to SFN nitrites.
No. Activated means that the Sulforaphane is already there but it degrades very quickly. Only products with Glucoraphanin and Myrosinase are reasonable.
That's what I'm taking right now. To my understanding it is the US version of the French brand that he recommends in this video and that Rhonda Patrick herself has advocated for in the past. It used to only be available as a French import but they are now distributing it as BROQ in the States. Seems like you made a good choice - I used to take Jarrow BroccoMax but he mentions that one isn't as good.
Actually, it was in this video that they recommend a specific French brand, and like I mentioned, the US version is now being distributed as BROQ. I don't work for them, I'm paying full price for it, but just want to make sure people don't waste money on ineffective products. th-cam.com/video/lX10zjP5SV4/w-d-xo.html
I read an article on ScienceDirect about Erucic Acid, and it says that brown mustard seeds have less erucic acid than yellow or black varieties of mustard. The EU maximum consumption for erucic acid is 5%, but in Australia its 2%. Rhonda Patrick says sulforaphane is destroyed by heat if you cook broccoli, so to put 1g of ground brown mustard seed on the broccoli to add the sulforaphane back in. So does anyone know how much erucic acid is in 1g of brown mustard seed?
@@peacefulruler1 That all changed in, I think, February 2021 when the boys at Super Human Health finally completed all the bureaucratic and other minutiae necessary to make Prostaphane available to the U.S. consumer. I love to imagine their shiny faces waking up one morning a couple years back and saying to each other "Shhhiiiiit, we gotta get this product over here. How we gonna do it? We're gonna go over there (France) and we are not going to come back until, by pluck, perseverence and sheer force of will, we succeed in doing what many others before us have failed to do- convince the heavies at Nutrinov to license their product to us for the American market." Anyhow, succeed they did. A part of the negotiated contract stipulated that the stabilized form of Sulforaphane that is sold in europe as 'Prostaphane" would have to be sold under a different name in the U.S. and so 'Broq' was born. Same unique, stabilized and patented form of biologically potent Sulforaphane as found in Prostaphane. Google 'Broq' and you'll find your way to wherever you need to be to order it in no time.

How do you calculate the correct dosage of an extract? So are 10:1 some are 10%, 20%. I cant find any place that shows how to calculate the safe dosage for different extract percentages.
A 10:1 extract means it is ten times more concentrated that the original product. In other words 10 gr of powder is the equivalent of 100 gr of fresh Broccoli. Where did you get the 10 & 20 % values ? He says 100 gr per day is reasonable, as more would be difficult to eat every day for a long time. Find what the weight ratio of fresh vs dehydrated is, divide 200 gr by that value & u get a good starting point.
I am a 47 year old male I'm already supplementing NAC, and l ergothioneine. I just want to figure out a way that I can also throw in some sulforaphane. any advice
i lightly steam them and have them on eggs and toast with a bit of mustard. i tried the freezing and blending and it is just too disgusting. they actually taste decent slightly cooked.
What do I have wrong? 1. All the sulforohane comes from the seed, not the soil. 2. It takes about 500 of my (skinny) microgreens to weigh about an ounce. 3 That’s the same amount of sulforaphane as 500 stalks of broccoli?
i think it has to be between 60 to 100 grams but also is dependent on the source of your sprouts as the amount can vary quite a bit. I take about 60 grams in a smoothie with coconut fat.
Those plastic tofu containers are about 100 grams, if you have a scale weigh it, but 1/2 cup is probably more like 25 grams or so. Variable based on density That is what I used to take and health seemed really good I upped to 100 grams and unfortunately suffered from flatulence, so I am back down at 25 grams or so and trying to work slowly up. That was the long version, short version is : 1/2 cup good, more is better.
🙏🏻 Gratitude ! Free our young generation and all people of this evil drug addiction, dealers and business. God bless France and Mr. Macron and all Police Team working against this.
200 grams is about a half a pound! lol If you were growing it yourself, it would be about half a 10 x 20 tray, densely seeded. Per day. Eat as much as you can tolerate.
Does anyone know if Broccoli seeds contain all the glucoraphanin they are ever going to have or does the sprouting process increase it? (The question is not about availability but rather what's in the seed and can it increase?)
While I don't know I can tell you seeds generally have very little bioavailability(the body has a hard time breaking down seeds). In all of Rhonda's videos are about sprouting the seeds. The sulforaphane you ultimately get from the sprout is the same amount as in the whole broccoli. It is vastly increased bioavailability by consuming with mustard seed powder.
I would make a layman’s guess just from a common sense perspective that 1. Seeds alone are harder to break down. Similarly, Swallowing a chicken egg whole, impossible I know, would pass through undigested most likely. Secondly the sprouting process is a release of compacted nutrients into the plant tissues that are far more digestible.
The genome of the Broccoli makes all the difference , there is a super broccoli called" Beneforte," but so far I can't find the seeds they just sell market ready broccoli, supposedly has 3x more glucoraphanin than any other type.
I am so freaking confused about this. I am a poor person and I need to spend the little money I have wisely. So where will I get the biggest bang for the buck? Poor people want to be healthy too. I started sprouting broccoli seeds I got on Amazon last night, but I feel like I'm just making it up as I go cause no body seems to know any specifics about how much to eat, how to eat it, how to cook it, and on and on. Very frustrating.
1 tablespoon of broccoli seeds = 56 grams broccoli sprouts 3 teaspoons of broccoli seeds = 56 grams broccoli sprouts A healthy dose is about 100g of broccoli sprouts a day.
The first problem is the poor terminology. I grow MICROGREENS for a living. Sprouts are a different animal and less nutritionally dense. That would be a good start point- actually knowing what the food is called.
Would you please explain the difference between microgreens and sprouts? And why sprouts would be less nutritionally dense? It seems like they are saying that the younger sprouts have more nutritional value than if they are allowed to grow more, but maybe I'm not understanding it well enough. Would love to know how these broccoli sprouts compare with other sprouts or microgreens in terms of nutritional value and the components of sulforaphane, myrosinase, and glucoraphanin! Does anyone know or have evidence via research?
"Yak-yak-yak-yak-yak... Get to the point, how much should I eat? 1 tablespoon? One cup? Give me a ball park figure, just get to the point! "Yak-yak-yak-yak-yak-yak..."

Clearly a lot of people bantering here are right on the edge of flame out mode and could use some Sulforaphane to reduce their systemic inflammation... generally. Ahhh, but that is the very reason they are here and the precise cause of their frustration grasshopper.
BTW- all this irritableness can be ameliorated and all these sticky questions concerning the official exact recommended amount of broc sprouts to be consumed and whether or not that knowledge actually exists, etc.... by ordering a bottle of BROQ capsules and taking two a day.
Hi I've just orders an activated sulforaphane complex from SM nutrition, do you know if this product is any good
No. Activated means that the Sulforaphane is already there but it degrades very quickly. Only products with Glucoraphanin and Myrosinase are reasonable.
What are your thoughts on the BROQ brand? Claim 26mg per serving.

Any News regarding taking sulforaphane when already having metastases?
I wonder about the same, hav eyou found some information?I need it as well

are broccoli microgreens also a good sulforaphane source?
I read an article on ScienceDirect about Erucic Acid, and it says that brown mustard seeds have less erucic acid than yellow or black varieties of mustard. The EU maximum consumption for erucic acid is 5%, but in Australia its 2%. Rhonda Patrick says sulforaphane is destroyed by heat if you cook broccoli, so to put 1g of ground brown mustard seed on the broccoli to add the sulforaphane back in. So does anyone know how much erucic acid is in 1g of brown mustard seed?
What vitamin products can we buy that that have the Sulf,Gluc and Myro you speak about that we can benefit from. Thanks!
Sulforaphane is very unstable so there’s not a good US source. I heard her say this in a different video.

That all changed in, I think, February 2021 when the boys at Super Human Health finally completed all the bureaucratic and other minutiae necessary to make Prostaphane available to the U.S.
Man……. I just blended a 75g pack of these bad boys with some water.. my god it was hard to consume. Didnt think i would make it. Took me about 15 minutes. I think i need to add some things before my next attempt.

Can I just eat steamed or lightly cooked broccoli and get the benefits?
Why is he so hesitant to answer straightforward questions? Very frustrating.
Which broccoli seeds variety is the right one to get a decent dose of sulforaphane

Can anyone please tell me how many cups of Brocoli is that.
Where is that PDF
He said nothing. I want that 8min back in my life!
How much is enough and how much is too much!? Ask your body not a scientist... clearly they can’t tell you anyway.
So, would 1/2 cup of loose broccoli sprouts be a reasonable amount for some positive impact?
i think it has to be between 60 to 100 grams but also is dependent on the source of your sprouts as the amount can vary quite a bit. I take about 60 grams in a smoothie with coconut fat.
Those plastic tofu containers are about 100 grams, if you have a scale weigh it, but 1/2 cup is probably more like 25 grams or so. Variable based on density That is what I used to take and health seemed really good
I upped to 100 grams and unfortunately suffered from flatulence, so I am back down at 25 grams or so and trying to work slowly up. That was the long version, short version is : 1/2 cup good, more is better.
🙏🏻 Gratitude !

What was the answer?
Do broccoli leaves have sulforaphane?
Rhonda Patrick is so awesome. I love her.
The genome of the Broccoli makes all the difference , there is a super broccoli called" Beneforte," but so far I can't find the seeds they just sell market ready broccoli, supposedly has 3x more glucoraphanin than any other type.
Wonder where we can get those specific seeds for sprouting 🌱?

I am so freaking confused about this. I am a poor person and I need to spend the little money I have wisely. So where will I get the biggest bang for the buck? Poor people want to be healthy too. I started sprouting broccoli seeds I got on Amazon last night, but I feel like I'm just making it up as I go cause no body seems to know any specifics about how much to eat, how to eat it, how to cook it, and on and on. So what happens when your body becomes immune to the effects???
1 tablespoon of broccoli seeds = 56 grams broccoli sprouts
3 teaspoons of broccoli seeds = 56 grams broccoli sprouts
A healthy dose is about 100g of broccoli sprouts a day.
