I'm an Aussie keeper myself and it's great to see some Aussie pythons featured on this channel! I have Carpet Pythons (Diamond, Jungle, and Coastal), Woma Pythons, and Black Headed Pythons.

I've been thinking about portholes in cages for breeding for years, and it's awesome to see it executed so well! Absolutely love those big scrubs too, I can't get over those huge head scales - gorgeous! Very cool to see both tame and spicy versions haha, Brandon is doing amazing work!

My issue with Royals is that they are just so over bred. It has gotten as bad as pit bulls with back yard breeders producing babies that just end up being left to die, abandoned in buildings, on the side of roads, thrown out in a box in the middle of winter. It is terrible. Royals should live 40+ years a peace. Breeders swap out breeding stock every 7-10 years because they are refining features.... think about how many animals that is going to turn into if we keep breeding them like this. But the part that gets me the most is, we should already be drowning in them, which means the majority are being killed :( I just get sad when I see BP videos.

I'm not sure I would call 4 meters "not too big", but I have only handled the really big ones (wild caught, part of a zoo's collection, decades old). These ones look so tiny next to those, lol. It wasn't until this video that I even realised there are animals that stay smaller. I wonder how predictable the size variation is. I always assumed smaller animals were just younger, but your post made me look them up and I see they are actually usually a lot smaller than the 3 I worked with. Thanks for that

I have a captive bred male barneck scrub that looks like the Sorong in this video, beautiful snake but absolutely vicious. I love him as well but I keep African cobras too. He's about seven foot now and has a four foot strike range. Much different than retics. He can raise himself up vertically three and half foot high. Still my only regret is that he isn't bigger. He's about five years old.
