I love how you not only talk about everything that has to do with snakes and breading and types, but you explain it all as well. Plus you are honest about everything which makes me keep watching.

Don’t bread snakes, please. Snakes are not food

Carpets are some of my absolute favorites. I only have about 50 snakes but my Carmel Jungle Jag is by far one of my favorites, along with my retic. I’m definitely planning to add a couple more to my collection in the near future.

Omg that adult male is gorgeous. I’ve been interested in jungles for years but that does it, I’m definitely getting a jungle next.

Going for that crown royal look? Lol should totally get bags made like crown royal to send off snakes. Also make a shirt like the one you have on with gold trim on sleeves and collar

I've really became fond of carpets in the last few years, wished I had more space. I do have a 2 yr old Bredli python and he is super chill and eats anything. Can't wait until he actually gets size on him.

Are adults still touch sensitive or do they calm down in that aspect? Mine will whip around so fast if you touch him anywhere😂

I have the nicest Carpet Python. She is an ocolot sib that was failure to thrive. Her breeder forced fed and then assist fed for months. She finley started eating quail and then rodents. I purchases her as a pet.She has never struck or hissed. She wont eat live food and she takes frozen thawed gently, like a hog nosed snake.

Did you work with your adult male a lot to get him tame/relaxed? I have a 1 year old juvenile and he’s crazy. I just want to work with him but he’s really nervous.

Love carpets. Biggest regret EVER. There used to be this breeder "Python" Pete Kuhn I got a holdback female from his 75% Diamond/Carpet line from him and I eventually sold it. Still to this day, regret.

I love carpets as well. I have 2 jungle females that are just about ready to breed and need to buy a male. Just need to figure out if I want to buy a straight jag to go to them or a jungle jag lol.

Technically speaking we'er not supposed to cross breed pythons Down under although some do naturally occur in the wild where their range over laps, like Costals and diamonds up towards QLD costals will mate with Scrubbies but you can't cross Costals with Bredli, their ranges don't over over lap, if you get caught crossing then on purpose National Parks & Wildlife will confiscate them.

Jaguar is pleasing to see, but it is a lot like the Spider, there is no surviving Super form from each. Perhaps in the future a gene will be found to mitigate the defects of the Jaguar. The babies are endowed with a super defence tool to survive.

    • @OlympusReptiles

It is, and while i like both spider and jag, every time we talk about the genes we make sure that we talk about the issues. Same when we sell one

Check Torri Lorrini's channel for great ideas on how to make tanks/storage bins super well designed to maximize enrichment and welfare for carpet pythons and other snakes!! She masters cost-effective simplicity with brilliant engineering efficiency!
