The North Korean leader has been feverishly preparing for war for decades.
Russia was caught unprepared for war because Putin (rather foolishly) thought he could successfully negotiate with the Americans and persuade them not to attempt to expand NATO eastward onto his doorstep.
If NATO insists on expanding eastward Putin (or his successor) will have to either surrender the Russian Federation to the west or else use nuclear weapons, because NATO is vastly superior to Russia in conventional arms, and especially with its airforce.

I don’t think it’s really about troops. Kim wouldn’t want to send a lot of people out. His people are really designed to fight in country. I mean kids are raised there to believe that people in the west want to eat them. They would be exposed to all kinds of things. They might not come home and those that do might bring radical ideas.
Also, in Korea, the U.S. basically fought China. It was Chinese supplies and troops that pushed U.N. Troops back. Without China we would have wiped them out. This time it’s the DPRK supplying things? They are poorer than Russia.
They want ballistic missives that work. Maybe nuclear tech. Space tech for things like satellites. And energy. Russia wants basic equipment like artillery which Kim has a ton of. Russia actually has quite a few people left to draft if they get serious but they are running out of hard supplies.

well Putin has been asking kim to send NK troops to Ukraine since late 2022. However Kim is asking a lot for NK troops to go into Ukraine, like 4K USD to be paid in USD for every NK soldier sent to Ukraine who will be put under North Korean command not Russian command and the NKs expect the Russians to arm to the NK troops top of hte line weapons. with the approval of the NK officers. HOwever now Putin looks like he will accept NK conditions for entry into Ukraine war, which shows Putin is desperate
